The applied nameplate is located at the bottom of the
baby unit base.
When in use, basic safety precautions should always be
followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and
injury, including the following:
1. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the
product.
2. Adult setup is required.
3. This product is intended as an aid. It is not a substitute
for responsible and proper adult supervision and
should not be used as such.
4. This product is not intended for use as a medical
monitor.
5. Do not power on this product near water.
6. Unplug this product from the vehicle USB power
outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol
cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
7. Do not allow anything to rest on the parent unit or
baby unit power cords and do not place the power
cords where they can be deformed or damaged. The
power cords can be hidden behind car trim.
8. The product should only be operated from a power
source indicated on the label or marking. If you are
unsure of the type of power supply in your vehicle,
consult your dealer.
9. This product should not be placed in any area where
proper ventilation is not provided. Any slots or
openings in the back or bottom of this product are
provided for ventilation.
10. Never insert any objects through any apertures or
slots in the product as this can be dangerous and
cause damage to the internal parts. Never spill any
liquids on the product.
11. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassem-
ble this product, but take it to an authorized service
facility. Disassembling or removing parts of the prod-
uct may expose dangerous voltages or other risks.
12. Periodically examine the product for damage.
13. There is a very low risk of privacy loss when using
certain electronic devices, such as baby monitors,
cordless telephones, etc. To protect your privacy,
make sure the product has never been used before
purchase, reset the baby monitor periodically by
powering off and then powering on the units, and
power off the baby monitor if you are not intending
to use it for some time.
14. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the product.
15. The small parts of this monitor can be swallowed
by babies or small children. Keep these parts out of
reach of children.
16. The product is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.

• Use and store the product at a temperature between

• Do not expose the product to extreme cold, heat or
direct sunlight.
• WARNING—Strangula-
tion Hazard—Children have STRANGLED
in cords. Keep this cord out of the reach
of children. Do not remove warning
label on the adapter cord.
• Never place the baby unit inside the baby’s seat.
Never cover the baby unit or parent unit with any-
thing such as a towel or a blanket.
Precautions for users of implanted cardiac pacemakers
Cardiac pacemakers (applies only to digital cordless
devices):
Wireless Technology Research, LLC (WTR), an
independent research entity, led a multidisciplinary
evaluation of the interference between portable
wireless devices and implanted cardiac pacemakers.
Supported by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration,
WTR recommends to physicians that:
Pacemaker patients
• Should keep wireless devices at least six inches from
the pacemaker.
• Should NOT place wireless devices directly over
the pacemaker, such as in a breast pocket, when it is
turned ON.
WTR’s evaluation did not identify any risk to bystanders
with pacemakers from other persons using wireless
devices.
Electromagnetic elds (EMF)
This VTech product complies with all standards
regarding electromagnetic fields (EMF). If handled
properly and according to the instructions in this
user’s manual, the product is safe to be used based on
scientific evidence available today.
2. Align the mounting dot mark on
the baby unit rear with the unlocked
padlock icon on the strap mounting.
Rotate the baby unit clockwise quarter
of a turn until it clicks to lock it in place.
3. Adjust the baby unit angle so
that it faces your baby.
1. Wrap the headrest straps over the top
of the headrest with the mounting
centralised and facing your baby.
Fasten the lower loose strap clip
under the vehicle headrest and lock it
firmly in place into the lower headrest
strap socket.
NOTE:The correct headrest strap
orientation should be with the
“locked padlock” icon on the strap
mounting facing upwards. Improper
orientation will cause the image on
the display to be incorrect.

4. Connect the long power cord to the baby unit power jack and route the wiring along the
side of the seats. You can use a suitable pry tool (not included) to hide the cable behind
car trim. Then, connect the long power cord USB end to the vehicle USB port.

unit to secure the air vent
mount to the parent unit.

into the passenger side
air vent. Rotate the
wing nut on the air vent
mount to secure the
parent unit to the air
vent.
3. Connect the short extension
cable to the parent unit
power jack. Adjust the
screen orientation to face the
passenger and away from the
drivers view.
NOTESNOTE
• Install the system without the baby in the car. Ensure the car seat is legally
mounted. Securely mount the monitor and camera as instructed, never
attach the camera to the car seat or leave it unmounted/loose.
• Make sure you have 2 USB-A (5V 1A / 5V 300mA) ports in the car. If not, you
will need a powered USB hub or a multi-output USB charger module for
additional USB-A ports.
• Only use power supplies with an output rating of 5.0V 4A max. with Power
Class type 2 (PS2), or Limited Power Source (LPS).
• Most vehicles will automatically remove power from the USB/Accessory sock-
ets when the ignition is turned off and the parent unit/baby unit can remain
connected. For vehicles that do not automatically remove power from USB/
Accessory sockets when the ignition is turned off, we recommend unplug-
ging the parent unit and baby unit power connector to prevent any vehicle
battery discharge when the vehicle is not used for long periods.

• Ensure wiring has sufficient slack so that movement (e.g., seat adjustment) does not strain or pull
the connections.
• Route cable away from sharp edges and areas where it can be pinched or crushed.

• To prevent the parent unit being directly subjected to vehicle heater temperatures, please ensure
that the air vent used to mount the parent unit has the air flow turned off.
