- Be sure that the alarm wiring harness is far from high-tension wires of the original vehicle plant in order to
avoid interference which could generate a wrong functioning.
- On vehicles equipped with catalytic muffler the engine immobilisation must be carried out on fuel pump.
- If the alarm system is equipped with a ultrasonic module (ref. 5123), the ultrasonic cells must be fitted at
the top of each windscreen pillar, far from the ventilation or air-conditioning outputs and pointed at each
opposite diagonal corner.
- Connect the positive power supply of the alarm unit to the positive pole of the vehicle battery and connect
the negative power supply of the alarm unit to the negative pole of the battery or to the vehicle frame.

SUPPLY TO THE ALARM UNIT. ( SEE ALSO "DIP-SWITCHES RE-SETTING" CHAPTER).
* For the Belgium market unit it's no possible to switch OFF the Alarm Passive Arming feature ( V.V.3 Rules ).
DIP-SWITCHES RE-SETTING.
It's possible to change the dip-switch settings, after the power supply connection , by the following instructions :
1. Disarm the alarm unit by a remote control / electronic key.
2. Set the dip-switches in order to program the features required.
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON position ( without start the vehicle engine !! ).
4. Insert , for more than 3 seconds, an electronic key in the LED / Socket . To confirm the new dip-switch settings a LED
flash /audible tone will be emitted.
5. Turn the ignition switch to OFF position.
DIAGNOSTIC MODE ( final check for the installer or quick check during after sale service ).
This feature allows to the installer / service personnel to quickly verify the correct working of the alarm unit and the
electrical connections to the vehicle plant.
DIAGNOSTIC SET-ON.
To enter in the Diagnostic Mode it's possible to follow two different ways :
1. During the installation of the alarm system : Set on the dip-switch no. 5 before to connect the power supply of the alarm
unit and then connect the power supply.
2. For post-installation services : Set on the dip-switch no. 5 following the instructions described in the "DIP-SWITCHES
RE-SETTING" chapter.
To confirm the diagnostic mode will be emitted four indicator lights flashes / audible tones. At the end of the signalling the
LED and the external module output ( +A / PINK wire) will be switched on.
In this condition it's possible to test each alarm input, and if the external connection and/or the internal alarm unit circuit
works properly an audible tone / indicator lights flash will be emitted each time the input of the alarm system will be
triggered. It's important to have a delay time of 1 second ( or more ) between each alarm input triggering.
In the diagnostic mode it's possible to verify the right working / transmission range of the remote controls by pressing the
push button no.1 of the handsets. If the device works properly an audible tone / indicator lights flash will be emitted.
By the push button no.2 of the remote controls it's possible to activate the PANIC alarm. In this condition it's possible to
test the internal siren circuit and the negative output for an external additional siren. It's possible to halt the PANIC alarm
by pressing the remote control push button no.2 again ( in this case there will be a neutral time of five seconds ).
DIAGNOSTIC SET-OFF.
To set-off the Diagnostic Mode and to enter in the Normal Mode it's possible to follow two different ways :
1. Insert an electronic key in the LED / Socket. To confirm the normal mode will be emitted three indicator lights flashes /
audible tones.
2. Press the button no.2 of the remote control to activate the PANIC alarm, then press the button no.1 of the remote
control in order to set- off the diagnostic mode.

/ audible tone .
The central door locking will be closed with the pulse programmed during the installation.
ALARM DISARMING - BY REMOTE CONTROL.
Press the push button no.1 of the remote control. The disarming of the alarm system is signalled by three direction lights
pulses / audible tones . If an alarm condition occurs during the arming period the direction lights pulses / audible tones
will be five instead of three ( see also " LED ALARM MEMORY" chapter ). The central door locking will be opened with
the pulse programmed during the installation.
ALARM ARMING / DISARMING - BY ELECTRONIC KEY.
It's possible to use the electronic keys to arm and disarm the alarm system. In this case the central door locking are not
powered and a entry delay time of 10 seconds is provided in order to disarm the system without false alarms.
In order to override the audible tone see the "AUDIBLE TONES SETTING" chapter.
SPECIAL FUNCTIONS.
PANIC ALARM.
If the dip-switch no.1 is set in ON position, it's possible to obtain a PANIC ALARM by pressing the push button no.2 of the
remote control.
The length of the panic alarm period is 29 seconds, but it's possible to halt this alarm by pressing again the push button
no.2 of the remote control. The panic alarm is available with the alarm system disarmed, or armed after the neutral time of
45 seconds.
ELECTRIC BOOT RELEASE.
If the dip-switch no.1 is set in OFF position, it's possible to use the push button no.2 of the remote control to open the
electrical lock of the boot on vehicles equipped with this feature. The electric boot release is available with the alarm
system disarmed or armed. If the alarm system is armed a delay time of 60 seconds is provided in order to open the boot
without false alarms, during this time period the LED is lighted in fix mode.
EXTERNAL SENSOR INPUT / ALARM ARMED POSITIVE OUTPUT OVERRIDE.
During the first 25 seconds of the neutral arming period it's possible to override the external sensor input and the positive
output ( +A / PINK wire ) in order to halt the window raise. This feature is obtained by pressing the push button no.2 of the
remote control and it's signalled by a direction lights pulse; on vehicles equipped with the "Comfort Closing System" - (
dip-switch no. 3 in ON position ) the external sensor override feature halts the central door locking pulse in order to stop
the window raise.
To exclude the external sensor input with the window totally closed it's necessary to wait the total closure and then press
the push-button no. 2 of the remote control.
AUDIBLE TONES SETTING.
This alarm system allows to the user to switch ON / switch OFF the audible tones by the remote control.
AUDIBLE TONE SWITCH OFF.
1. Turn the ignition key in ON position ( without start the vehicle engine !! ).
2. Press the push-button no.1 of the remote control for more than 3 seconds. To confirm the audible tones switch
OFF a LED flash will be emitted.
