Install the midspan

1. Connect an Ethernet cable from the source network device (for

example, a router) to the RJ45 connector on the midspan.GbE

2. Connect a second Ethernet cable to the GbE + PoE connector on

the midspan, and to a PoE or a PoE+ device.

3. Select the appropriate power cord for your region and connect it

to the power adapter.

4. Connect the power adapter to an AC electrical outlet and then to

the midspan. The PWR (power) LED lights up and remains solid, to

indicate the midspan is is powered.

Mount the midspan on a surface

The POEINJ1GW comes with the necessary hardware (screws and

integrated mounting holes) to install it on a surface (for example, a

wall).

To mount the midspan, do the following:

• Using a screwdriver, secure the midspan to a surface by threading

the provided screws through the midspan’s four mounting holes

and into a surface such as a wall or a desk.
