Technical Information

Read all warnings before installation

• Cut out drilling template

• Tape to mounting surface

• Use template to drill 1x ø95mm (3 ¾”) hole and

4x appropriately sized pilot holes based on the

pilot drill table provided.

• Remove template and clean mounting surface

• Cut out the enclosure customisation template.

• Use template to mark out the locations for the chosen

component installation/s.

Keep 4mm minimum distance between holes drilled.

• Tape template to rear face of the housing.

• Make required installation cutouts to housing and

deburr / clean up.

• Test fit components to housing to ensure sufficient

clearance before final assembly.

EN WARNING

Ensure any holes cut will not significantly weaken the structure of the mounting surface.

Before drilling any holes, ensure the cutting template is correct to scale and the area behind the mounting location is clear of

wires, fuel and all other hazardous objects.

Do NOT install in a hazardous/flammable atmosphere e.g. engine room.

This product must be mounted strictly in accordance with the provided mounting template.

The IP protection rating is only valid if the installation is carried out correctly according to the instructions and on a flat, smooth

and non-porous surface.

This product is a blank enclosure designed for low-voltage electrical installations. Devices shown in this installation manual are

examples of what can be fitted to this product and are not included.

This product is not suitable for drinking water contact.

CAUTION

The IP protection rating applies to the front only and when the product lid is fully closed and not in use.

Do not leave the lid in an open position when driving/underway, this may damage the product and the mounting surface.

When choosing a mounting location, avoid areas exposed to heat radiation devices, with poor ventilation or an area that can

become submerged.

• Apply silicone/automotive sealant to the 4x No.8 PH2

Panhead mounting screws.

• Secure the housing assembly to the mounting surface

- DO NOT overtighten the screws.

• Perform any final wiring or connections required for

the fitted components.

• Note: Silicone/sealant application to the rear mounting

surface is not required, the included rear gasket meets

the stated IP-ratings when this product is installed

on a flat surface.

The lid must remain securely latched closed when not in use. Scanstrut Ltd & Inc. accepts no liability for any product malfunction

due to the lid being left open when not in use.

A 3 year, non-transferable warranty covers this Scanstrut product only and not any devices that are powered by it.
