Installation

ENWARNING

This product is to be connected to a regulated low-pressure LPG supply between 30-50mBAR .

Only use with gas appliances with an operating pressure equivalent to the regulated supply pressure.

Do not use with gas appliances with an integrated pressure regulator.

Ensure the installation area has adequate gas drop-out ventilation and suitable safety precautions are taken i.e. fitting carbon

monoxide and gas alarms in habitation area.

Do NOT install in a hazardous/flammable atmosphere (e.g. engine room).

Before drilling any holes, ensure the cutting template is correct to scale and the area behind the mounting location is clear of

wires, fuel and all other hazardous objects.

Ensure any holes cut will not significantly weaken the structure of the mounting surface.

The IP protection rating is only valid if the installation is carried out correctly according to the instructions and on a flat, smooth

and non-porous surface.

IP68 & IP69K waterproof, only when the lid is fully closed. With the lid open, splash-resistant only and must not be exposed to

water jets or submerged.

Do not leave the lid in an open position when driving/underway, this may damage the product and the mounting surface.

When choosing a mounting location, avoid areas exposed to heat radiation devices, with poor ventilation or an area that can

become submerged.

This product must be mounted strictly in accordance with the provided mounting template.

INSTALLATION

This product must be installed by a qualified gas engineer/plumber. Applicable RV installation regulations and

standards must be followed. Only 8mm outer diameter copper pipe can be used with the included compression fittings.

IMPORTANT

The lid must remain securely latched closed when not in use. Scanstrut Ltd accepts no liability for any product

malfunction as a result of the lid being left open when not in use

WARRANTY

A 3 year, non-transferable warranty covers this Scanstrut product only and not any devices that are powered by it.

No warranty is given for users’ devices. Users expose their devices to hazards, known or unknown, at their own risk.

• Cut out drilling template

• Tape to mounting surface

• Use template to drill 1x ø95mm (3 ¾”) hole

and 4x appropriately sized pilot holes

based on the pilot drill table provided.

• Remove template and clean

• Remove compression nut and olive from the rear

of the included valve.

• Insert the required length of 8mm copper pipe

through the compression nut, followed by the olive.

• Wrap a length of gas-specific PTFE / PFAS-free

equivalent tape around the valve thread.

• Push the pipe fully into the rear connection

chamber of the valve followed by the olive and

tighten the compression nut initially by hand.

• Once finger tight, tighten no further than

1 ¼ turns with a 17mm spanner.

GAS

• Connection to the onboard LPG system must

only be performed by a qualified gas engineer.

• The gas supply must be disconnected and

isolated before beginning installation.

• Ensure any remaining gas within the system

is purged before beginning installation.

• This low-pressure gas outlet must only be

connected to a regulated gas supply between

30-50 mBAR.

• Check all connections for leaks with a suitable

leak detection fluid before first use.

• Apply silicone/automotive sealant to the

4x No.8 PH2 Panhead mounting screws.

• Secure the housing assembly to the mounting

surface - DO NOT overtighten the screws.

• Note: Silicone/sealant application to the rear

mounting surface is not required, the included rear

gasket meets the stated IP-ratings when

this product is installed on a flat surface.

• Gently push the end of the connected copper

pipe through the seal from the front of

the housing.

• Secure the gas valve to the inside of the

housing with the 2x included T20 Torx screws.

Recommended torque 1.5-2Nm.
