WEAPON SAFETY
FAILURE TO FOLLOW SAFETY/OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS WHEN
HANDLING A FIREAREM OR THE NIGHTSTICK LIGHT WHEN MOUNTED
ON A FIREARM CAN BE DANGEROUS AND CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS
INJURY, DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, OR DEATH.
Use of a rearm under any circumstance is inherently dangerous. SERIOUS
INJURY OR EVEN DEATH may result without proper training in the safe
handling of rearms. Proper training should be obtained from an accredited
rearms safety program conducted by a qualied instructor.
Read, understand and follow all of the safety instructions that came with
your rearm before attaching your new TWM.
yAlways assume every rearm is loaded and treat that rearm as such.
yNever point a rearm at anything that you are not willing to destroy.
yNever service your rearm or your TWM when mounted on a rearm
without rst activating the weapon’s safety (if applicable), removing the
magazine, opening the action and physically and visually inspecting to
make sure that no ammunition is installed in the rearm.
WEAPON MOUNTED LIGHT SAFETY
yNightstick recommends that the TWM should only be activated with
the non-trigger hand (support hand) while employing a two-hand grip
on the firearm and with the trigger finger fully outside the trigger guard
when applicable.
WARNING: FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAN RESULT
IN AN ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE AND SERIOUS INJURY, DAMAGE TO
PROPERTY, OR DEATH.
yThoroughly practice (employing safe training conditions) with the TWM and an
unloaded rearm before using the weapon.
BEFORE ATTACHING, INSPECTING OR SERVICING THE TWM
yEngage the safety on the rearm (if applicable).
yRemove the magazine from the rearm (if applicable).
yOpen the action and visually and physically inspect the chamber to be
sure it is empty.
yKeep the barrel pointed in a safe direction at all times and never place
your hand in front of the muzzle.
WARNING: IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT SAFETY MEASURES BE EMPLOYED
AT ALL TIMES WHILE HANDLING A FIREARM.
GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
yDO NOT expose the batteries to water or salt water, or allow the
batteries to get wet.
yDO NOT store the batteries with metallic objects that may cause a
short circuit.
yImmediately discontinue use of the batteries if they emit an unusual
smell, feel hot, change color, change shape or appear abnormal in any way.
yKeep out of the reach of children.
INSTALL THE BATTERIES
Image 1Image 2Image 3
yTo install the included CR123A Lithium Batteries in the TWM, begin by
unscrewing the screw on the battery compartment door. (Image 1) This
screw is designed to remain in the battery compartment door once it has
been unscrewed, do not attempt to remove it.
yInsert both batteries into the battery compartment paying attention to
the battery orientation marking on the sides of the light near the battery
compartment door. (Image 2)
yRe-install the battery compartment screw by pressing the door fully
closed and then tightening the screw until it is hand tight. Do not over
tighten. (Image 3)
yTest the operation of the light (see OPERATION below).
INSTALL THE LIGHT ONTO FIREARM
The TWM is designed to be easily attached and detached from the rearm’s
tactical rail. The rearm must have a tactical rail and it must have at least one
cross rail slot. The TWM is not designed to be used on a rearm that does not
have a cross rail slot.
MPORTANT: The TWM comes pre-congured with the P4 Modular
Channel-locking insert. If the t is not correct for your specic handgun,
use the Allen wrench to switch to the other inserts that works best for
your rearm.
Refer to nightstick.com/lightnder for a full list of handgun models
and inserts.
Image 4Image 5Image 6
yPush inward on the head of the rail clamp tension thumbscrew to open the
adjustable portion of the rail clamp. (Image 4)
yWhile making sure your rearm is in a safe condition and the barrel is pointed
in a safe direction, place the xed portion of the rail clamp into the groove of the
tactical rail on your rearm and align the insert tab with the slot on your rearm.
yRotate the light onto the tactical rail (Image 5). Release the pressure on the
tension thumbscrew making sure that the light is gripping both sides of the tactical
rail of the rearm. Verify that the insert tab is fully seated into the rail slot. (Image 6)
Image 7Image 8
yWhile holding the light tightly to the tactical rail of the rearm, tighten the rail
clamp tension thumbscrew by hand. (Image 7)
yUse a large coin (a quarter works well) to fully tighten the tension
thumbscrew. (Image 8)
WARNING: NIGHTSTICK STRONGLY RECOMMENDS PERIODICALLY
CHECKING TO INSURE THAT THE ALLEN SCREW AND THE RAIL
CLAMP TENSION THUMBSCREW REMAIN TIGHT. FAILURE TO KEEP
THESE TIGHT CAN RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE TWM AND/OR THE
CROSS RAIL INSERTS UNDER CONTINUOUS RECOIL.

STROBE WARNING
Exposure to strobing lights may cause dizziness, disorientation, and nausea.
A very small percentage of people suffer from photosensitive epilepsy and
may experience seizures or blackouts triggered by strobing lights. For more
information from the Epilepsy Foundation about photosensitivity and seizures,
please visit www.epilepsy.com. Anyone who has had symptoms linked to this
condition should consult a doctor before using this product.
ADJUST WINDAGE AND ELEVATION OF THE LASER
To ensure a smooth zeroing process and prevent damage to your laser’s
internal housing, it helps to understand the tension relationship between the
adjustment screws. Avoid overtightening either screw, as excessive tension on
one can restrict the other from moving.
Preparation & Rough Adjustment
yDetermine the distance where you want the laser and bullet to intersect
(Zero distance). We recommend 5 - 20 yards.
yHold the handgun and align the front and rear sights properly for this
distance.
yUse the included Allen wrench to turn the windage (side) and elevation
(bottom) screws to adjust the laser until it is aligned with the top of the front
sight post.
Fine Adjustment (At the Range)
yUse a steady rest or bipod to keep the iron sights perfectly aligned on
a target. Shoot a 3-round group using your iron sights to nd your actual
point of impact.
yUse the directional markings on the laser body (e.g., “U” for Up, “R” for
Right) to guide your turns.
yMove the laser dot to the center of the grouping rather than where you
thought you were aiming.
Troubleshooting Tension
yIf the laser dot is not moving, back both set screws out 1/8th of a turn to
free up the internal carriage, then readjust.
yIf a screw feels stuck or “bottomed out,” back the opposite screw out
1/8th of a turn to free up the internal carriage.
yOnly turn the screws in small increments (quarter-turn) to avoid binding
the internal springs.
yIf the laser stops moving even though the screw is turning, loosen the
other screw to prevent stripping the threads.
