modecontinuouslydisplaysthetemperatureforupto
60minutes.Thisisparticularlyusefulforcontinuous
temperaturemonitoring.

observingpolarityshownin
compartment.

B. Infrared Thermometer
InfraredisthedefaultmodeoftheINTP626X.
Note:TheINTP626Xisintendedforfoodserviceuse
—donotuseforsafetyrelatedapplications.
1. Infrared Scanning
a. Distance:Spot = 2.5:1
Forexample,ifthe
surfaceareabeing
measuredis10"in
diameter,thenthe
thermometermustbewithin25"ofthetargetfor
anaccuratereading.
b. Aimtheinfraredlensatthetargetandpressthe
SCANbuttontodisplaythesurfacetemperature.
The white light automatically turns on to
illuminate the target.
c. MeasurementcontinuesaslongastheSCAN
buttonispressed.Thenewestreadingupdates
thedisplay.
d. WhentheSCANbuttonisreleased,HOLD
appearsonthedisplayandthelastreading
remainsvisiblefor15secondsbeforetheunit
automaticallypowersoff.

Everythinggivesoffacertainamountofradiation.
Emissivityisthemeasureofthisthermalradiation.
Theinfraredthermometerissuppliedwithadefault
emissivityof0.95,whichstandardformostuses.
Theemissivityofthethermometercanbechanged
from0.05(5E)to1(100E).Only experienced
personnel should attempt to make changes.

beingmeasuredisoutsidetheinfraredrange
oftheinstrument.
1.)HI indicatesthatthetemperatureishigher
than+482°F/+250°C.
2.)LO indicatesthatthetemperatureislower
than-67°F/–55°C.
b. Allowaminimum30minutesforthethermometer
tostabilizetotheworking/roomtemperature.
1.)ER2 isdisplayedwhenthethermometeris
exposedtorapidchangesintheambient
temperature.
2.)ER3 isdisplayedwhentheambient
temperatureexceeds-32°F/0°COR
+122°F/+50°C.

Important: THE PROBE MAY BE DAMAGED IF
MEASUREMENT TEMPERATURE IS LOWER THAN -67°F/-
55°C OR HIGHER THAN +626°F/+330°C.
1. Flipdowntheprobeuntilfullyextended.
2. Inserttheprobeatleast1"/2.5cmintothefood.
3. PressthePROBEbuttontocontinuouslydisplay
thetemperatureforupto4minutesbeforetheunit
automaticallypowersoff.
Note:PressingthePROBEbuttonmayinterruptthelast
infraredHOLDreading.PressthePROBEbuttonagainto
returntoinfraredscanning.
4. Wearingaheatresistantglove,iptheprobeback
intothecasewhennished.
Important: DO NOT TWIST THE PROBE OR ROTATE IT IN
WRONG DIRECTION. EXCEPTIONAL STRESS ON PROBE MAY
CAUSE IT TO BREAK.

heatresistantglovetotouchthestainlesssteelprobeor
