(GB) Operating Instructions

This product is a universal AC adapter to provide power for

small devices, mostly those from the field of consumer electron-

ics, telecommunication and information technology . To avoid

any hazards, please observe the following instructions carefully:

The PA/PAU/PAH is a lightweight, regulated switch mode AC

adapter which is ideal for the power supply of high-performance

consumer and computer devices.

Operating instructions:

B E F O R E you connect the AC adapter to the device or the

mains supply, make sure that the output voltage (V), the output

current (mA) and the polarity correspond to the device you wish

to power.

OUTPUT VOLTAGE (V)

Check first which input voltage is required by the device to be

connected. Then set the selector switch of the AC adapter to

the required voltage. Setting the voltage too high may lead to

the malfunction or destruction of the connected device. For

USB power output, replacement of charging by computers etc.,

the selector must be set to 5V!

OUTPUT CURRENT (mA)

Make sure that the connected device does not consume more

current than the maximum output current of the AC adapter per-

mits. Exceeding the maximum capacity may overload and des-

troy the AC adapter.

The maximum current that the individual models in this series

can supply at different voltages is given in the Technical Data

table.

POLARITY

Consult the manufacturer's instructions for the device or the dia-

gram engraved on the mains connector of the device to determ-

ine the polarity required by your device. Now select the appro-

priate connector plug for the device.

The plugs have polarity markings on each side (see illustration).

Having selected the correct polarity, insert the plug into the con-

nector socket with the symbols pointing towards each other

GENERAL NOTES

➢The indicator lamp on the top of the AC adapter shows

that it is ready to use.

➢If your device does not work properly (lamp = off), dis-

connect the AC adapter immediately from the device and

the mains socket and check your settings against the de-

vice manufacturer's instructions.

➢We accept no liability for damage caused by improper

handling (e.g. incorrect polarity/voltage settings)

➢Do not open the AC adapter. Repairs must be carried out

by trained specialists only.

➢Only use the AC adapter in dry places and do not leave

children unsupervised while the AC adapter is in use.

➢Never insert the output plug for the device into the mains

socket.

➢USB Charging Applications: allthough properly connected

and adjusted a connected device may refuse charging.

This is not a power adapter fault, but indicates that such

device needs a special power adapter. Please ask for

special charging adapters from Vivanco for that kind of

devices.

➢Save Energy: Your adapter is using the energy saving

switch-mode technology. But you can save even more

energy and money, when you disconnect the adapter

from mains, if you don´t use the powered device for a lon-

ger time periode.

(D) Bedienungsaneitung

Bei dem vorliegenden Produkt handelt es sich um ein universell

einsetzbares Steckernetzteil zur Stromversorgung von Kleinge-

räten, meist aus dem Bereich der Unterhaltungselektronik, der

Telekommunikation oder der Computertechnik. Um Gefahren

zu vermeiden, beachten Sie bitte sorgfältig die nachstehenden

Bedienhinweise:

Das PA/PAH/PAU ist ein leichtes, geregeltes Schaltnetzteil und

eignet sich besonders zur Speisung von leistungsstarken Con-

sumer und Computergeräten.

Bedienhinweise:

B E V O R Sie das Netzteil mit dem Gerät oder dem Stromnetz

verbinden, achten Sei bitte darauf, dass die Ausgangsspan-

nung (V), der Ausgangsstrom (mA) und die Polarität dem ver-

brauchenden Gerät entsprechen. Zur Speisung von USB-Gerä-

ten über den mitgelieferten USB Adapter ist die Spannung auf 5

V einzustellen! Diese Funktion ersetzt bei vielen über den USB-

Anschluss ladbaren Geräten (MP3 Player, Telefonen usw,) die

Ladung vom Computer oder Originaladaptern.

AUSGANGSSPANNUNG (V)

Bitte überprüfen Sie zunächst, welche Ausgangsspannung das

anzuschließende Gerät benötigt. Stellen Sie dann Wahlschalter

auf die gewünschte Spannung ein. Eine zu hoch eingestellte

Spannung kann zu Defekt oder Zerstörung des angeschlosse-

nen Gerätes führen.

AUSGANGSSTROM (mA)

Bitte stellen Sie sicher, dass das angeschlossene Gerät nicht

mehr Strom verbraucht, als es der maximale Ausgangsstrom

des Netzteils zulässt. Wird die maximale Belastung überschrit-

ten, so kann das Netzteil durch die Überlastung zerstört wer-

den. Welchen maximalen Strom die einzelnen Modelle dieser

Baureihe bei den unterschiedlichen Spannungen abgeben kön-

nen, entnehmen Sie bitte der beigefügten Tabelle.

POLARITÄT

Bitte entnehmen Sie aus der Bedienungsanleitung des Geräte-

herstellers oder der eingeprägten Zeichnung bei der Netzkupp-

lung des Gerätes, welche Polarität Ihr Gerät benötigt. Wählen

Sie nun den zum Gerät passenden Anschlussstecker.

Die Stecker haben auf jeder Seite eine Polaritäts-Angabe (Ab-

bildung Polarity Selection). Nach Wahl der richtigen Polarität

stecken Sie den Stecker so in die Anschlusskupplung des Netz-

teils, dass die richtigen Symbole auf einander zeigen.

ALLGEMEINE HINWEISE

➢Die LED auf der Oberseite des Netzteils zeigt die Be-

triebsbereitschaft an.
