Safety instructions
Only competent and trained staff (experts) are permit-
ted to install and repair the Truma product and to carry
out the function test, at the same time observing the installa-
tion and operating instructions and the currently recognised
technical regulations. Experts are persons who, based on their
specialist instruction and training, their knowledge and experi-
ence with Truma products and the relevant standards, can
carry out the necessary work properly and identify potential
hazards.
โ€“ Before using the Mover outdoors for the first time, practice
with it to familiarise yourself with the functions of the
remote control and of the Mover.
โ€“ The Mover SX may be operated only by persons of legal
age who have been made aware of the potential risks when
using the product and who are able to safely operate the
Mover together with the vehicle. Never allow children to
play with the Mover.
โ€“ Never use the Mover when under the influence of drugs,
alcohol or medication.
โ€“ Before each use of the Mover, check the tyres and drive roll-
ers and remove any sharp stones or similar.
โ€“ Inspect the system for damage before use.
The system must not be used if it is damaged.
Comment: Information was moved from the end to above
but is not new.
โ€“ The side slide switch on the remote control (ON / OFF)
also acts as an โ€œEmergency Stop switchโ€. Switch the
side slide switch to โ€œOFFโ€ immediately in case of any
noticeable problems, e. g. uncontrolled behaviour of
the Mover.
โ€“ No person must be present in the caravan during operation.
If this is not observed, there is a risk of injury.
โ€“ There must be no persons (particularly children) within
the turning and movement range (manoeuvring range) of
the caravan.
โ€“ Ensure that there is sufficient visibility and space.
โ€“ When engaging and disengaging the Mover, make sure that
no hair, limbs, clothing or other parts on the body can be
caught by moving and / or rotating parts (e.g. drive rollers).
If this is not observed, there is a risk of injury.
โ€“ Always completely engage the drive rollers. If the drive
rollers are not completely engaged, the caravan cannot be
controlled. If this is not observed, there is a risk of injury
and property damage.
โ€“ During manoeuvring, the distance between the radio
remote control and the middle of the caravan must not
exceed 10 m!
โ€“ In case of a malfunction, engage the parking brake and
switch off the remote control.
โ€“ To avoid tilting the caravan, when manoeuvring on slopes
the drawbar should be pointed downwards (downhill). If
this is not observed, there is a risk of injury and property
damage.
โ€“ After manoeuvring, always first engage the parking
brake, block the wheels dis-(especially on slopes) and
engage the drive rollers from the tyres. The Mover is
not suitable for use as a parking brake for the parked
caravan.
โ€“ Always protect the radio remote control from unauthorised
access (paying particular attention to children).

Batteries
Recommended battery capacities
Button cell technology at least 55 Ah
Gel / AGM at least 70 Ah
Lead-acid battery (liquid electrolyte) at least 80 Ah
Starter batteries are not suitable
Charger
For optimum battery charging we recommend the Truma
BC 10 charger, which is suitable for all battery types up to
200 Ah.
Notes for handling batteries
โ€“ When handling batteries, pay attention to the manufactur-
er's safety instructions and data sheets
โ€“ Ensure that the terminal clamps are secure.
โ€“ Secure battery poles with protection caps in order to pre-
vent a short circuit
โ€“ When removing the battery, first disconnect the earth con-
nection (negative terminal), followed by the positive termi-
nal. When installing the battery, first connect the positive
terminal followed by the negative terminal.
Battery care (including maintenance-free
batteries)
In order to achieve a long battery service life, attention must
be paid to the following points:
โ€“ Batteries should be fully charged before and after current is
drained;
โ€“ for stationary periods of longer than 24 hours, interrupt
power circuit (e.g. using circuit breaker or by disconnecting
the battery poles),
โ€“ for longer stationary periods the battery must be discon-
nected and charged for 24 hours at least every 12 weeks.
In winter, store the fully-charged battery in a cool and
frost-free place and recharge at regular intervals (every
12 weeks).
Function description
Always observe the operating instructions and the
โ€œSafety instructionsโ€ prior to starting. The vehicle owner
is responsible for correct operation of the device.
Please note that the Mover is only suitable for single-
axle trailers.
The Mover is a manoeuvring system which allows a caravan
to be manoeuvred without the aid of the towing vehicle.
It consists of two separate drive units, each with its own
12๎˜ŸV๎˜ŸDC motor. These units are installed on the chassis right
next to the wheels and are connected with crossbars.
โ€“ Do not put the ready-to-operate remote control in your
pocket or lay it down, otherwise functions could be trig-
gered accidentally via the control knob or slide control.
โ€“ Never tow the caravan with the drive rollers engaged, as
this may cause damage to the tyres, the towing vehicle and
the drive units, as well as to attachments.
โ€“ All wheels and tyres on the caravan must be of the same
size and type. If this is not observed, there is a risk of injury.
โ€“ To ensure that the Mover works properly, the gap between
the tyres and the disengaged drive rollers must be 20 mm.
All tyres must have the same pressure โ€“ according to the
manufacturer's instructions (check regularly). Tyre wear
or fitting new tyres may require an adjustment of the gap
between the drive rollers and tyres (see โ€œInstalling the drive
unitsโ€).
โ€“ When jacking up the vehicle, do use the Mover as a not
support point as this could damage the drive unit and the
vehicle.
โ€“ Sensitive objects such as cameras, DVD players etc. must
not be kept in the stowage box near the control unit or the
motor cables, The strong electromagnetic fields could dam-
age them
them
them
themthemthem.
โ€“ The empty weight of the vehicle increases by the weight of
the Mover, which reduces the payload of the vehicle.
โ€“ When engaging, make sure that there are no objects (e.g.
stones, lumps of ice) between the drive roller and tyre in
particular.
โ€“ Inspect the system for damage before use.
The system must not be used if it is damaged.
General instructions
The Mover is a manoeuvring assistant with which a caravan
can be moved without the help of the towing vehicle.
The Mover has been designed to cope with inclines of up to
approx. 13 % bearing a gross weight of 2000๎˜Ÿkg on a suitable
surface.
Depending on the weight of the caravan, the Mover cannot
overcome obstacles from a height of about 20๎˜Ÿmm without an
aid (use ramps).
Due to the characteristic properties of a radio signal, it may be
interrupted by terrain / objects. This reduces reception quality
in small areas around the caravan, as a result of which the op-
eration of the Mover may be briefly interrupted. In this case,
the remote control must be switched off and on again.
When the Mover is switched off using the remote con-
trol, the control unit remains in standby. To completely
switch it off, the battery must be disconnected or isolated
from the power supply via a previously installed circuit
breaker.
Power supply
For optimum operation, we recommend the
Truma PowerSet BC and high-performance Optimaยฎ batteries.
Drive, lighting and gel batteries with sufficient capacity are
also suitable.
