TheLM2750isaregulatedswitched-capacitor

doublerthatproducesalow-noiseoutputvoltage.The

5-Voutputvoltageoption(LM2750-5.0)cansupplyup

to120mAofoutputcurrentovera2.9-Vto5.6-V

inputrange,aswellasupto40mAofoutputcurrent

whentheinputvoltageisaslowas2.7V.An

adjustableoutputvoltageoptionwithsimilaroutput

currentcapabilitiesisalsoavailable(LM2750-ADJ).

TheLM2750hasbeenplacedinTI's10-pinWSON,a

packagewithexcellentthermalpropertiesthatkeeps

thepartfromoverheatingunderalmostallrated

operatingconditions.

Aperfectfitforspace-constrained,battery-powered

applications,theLM2750requiresonlythreeexternal

components:oneinputcapacitor,oneoutput

capacitor,andoneflyingcapacitor.Small,

inexpensiveceramiccapacitorsarerecommendedfor

use.Inconjunctionwiththe

1.7-MHzfixedswitchingfrequencyoftheLM2750,

thesecapacitorsyieldlowoutput-voltageripple,which

isbeneficialforsystemsrequiringalow-noisesupply.

Pre-regulationminimizesinputcurrentripple,thus

reducinginputnoisetonegligiblelevels.

Atightlycontrolledsoft-startfeaturelimitsinrush

currentsduringpartactivation.Shutdowncompletely

disconnectstheloadfromtheinput.Outputcurrent

limitingandthermalshutdowncircuitryprotectboth

theLM2750andotherconnecteddevicesintheevent

ofoutputshortsorexcessivecurrentloads.
