14-bit,high-speedDACwithon-chipvoltage

reference.

Operatingwithupdateratesofupto275MSPS,the

DAC5672offersexceptionaldynamicperformance,

tight-gain,andoffsetmatchingcharacteristicsthat

makethedevicewell-suitedinI/Qbasebandordirect

IFcommunicationapplications.

EachDAChasahigh-impedance,differential-current

outputsuitableforsingle-endedordifferentialanalog-

outputconfigurations.Externalresistorsallowscaling

thefull-scaleoutputcurrentforeachDACseparately

ortogether,typicallybetween2mAand20mA.An

accurateon-chipvoltagereferenceistemperature-

compensatedanddeliversastable1.2-Vreference

voltage.Optionally,anexternalreferencemaybe

used.

TheDAC5672hastwo,14-bit,parallelinputports

withseparateclocksanddatalatches.Forflexibility,

theDAC5672supportsmultiplexeddataforeach

DACononeportwhenoperatingininterleaved

mode.

TheDAC5672isspecificallydesignedfora

differentialtransformer-coupledoutputwitha50-Ω

doubly-terminatedload.Fora20-mAfull-scaleoutput

current,a4:1impedanceratio(resultinginanoutput

powerof4dBm)and1:1impedanceratiotransformer

(–2dBmoutputpower)aresupported.

TheDAC5672isavailableina48-pinTQFPpackage.

Pincompatibilitybetweenfamilymembersprovides

12-bit(DAC5662)and14-bit(DAC5672)resolutions.

Furthermore,theDAC5672ispincompatibletothe

DAC2904andAD9767dualDACs.Thedeviceis

characterizedforoperationovertheindustrial

temperaturerangefrom–40°Cto85°C.
