1. Getting started
The manual provides step-by-step instructions for the safe and proper use of your
transformer. Before using the transformer, read the entire manual, especially the safety
instructions. Keep the manual in a safe place. If you pass the transformer on to another
person, be sure to include the manual.
1.1. Contents of the package
Transformer with a permanently attached power cable with an Euro plug, depending on the
version:
Safety transformer according to EN 61558
with 50 VA power and 16 V output voltage or
Toy transformer according to EN 61558 and EN 62115
with 52 VA power and 12 or 18 V output voltage
1.2. Intended use
The 50 VA-16 V and 52 VA-12/18 V transformers are designed for use in model railway layouts
and model-making in accordance with the instructions in this manual. Any other use is
considered inappropriate and will invalidate the warranty.
The transformers are not intended for installation by children under the age of 14.
Reading, understanding and following the instructions is also part of the intended use.
Please note:
Failure to follow the instructions can result in damage to your transformer. There is also a
risk of short circuit, fire or electric shock! Mortal danger!
