IS SHUT OFF.
GENERAL
You donât need special tools to install this îxture. Be sure to follow the steps
in the order given. Under no circumstances should a îxture be hung on house
electrical wires, nor should a swag type îxture be installed on a ceiling which
contains a radiant type heating system. Read instructions carefully. If you are
unclear as to how to proceed, consult a qualiîed electrician.
NOTE: Proper wiring is essential for the safe operation of this îxture.
FIXTURE ASSEMBLY
Carefully remove the îxture from the carton and check that all parts are included
as shown in îgure. Be careful not to misplace any of the screws or parts, which
are needed to install this îxture.
STEP 1: Thread rod (J) into the coupling (K). Carefully pass the wires through
each rod during assembly. Repeat step 1 with rods (G), (H) and (I) until the
desired hanging height is reached.
STEP 2: Thread the rod (G) onto swivel (F).
INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT: Do not attach îxture directly to outlet box.
STEP 1: Thread mounting screw (A) into the match hole of mounting bar (B).
STEP 2: Secure the mounting bar (B) to outlet box with outlet box screws (C).
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1: Insert the green grounding screw into the hole with two raised dimples
on the mounting bar. Wrap the ground wire from the îxture (if supplied) around
the green grounding screw, then connect it to ground wire from the outlet box
(if not îxed on the outlet box) using a wire connector (not supplied). If ground wire
from the îxture is not supplied, wrap the ground wire (if not îxed on the outlet
box) from the outlet box around the green grounding screw and tighten it.
NEVER CONNECT GROUND WIRE TO BLACK OR WHITE POWER
SUPPLY WIRES.
STEP 2: Take note of the color of the wire(s) on your îxture. Identify which
group your îxture wire(s) falls into and connect the wires according to the
directions below:
GROUP A:
Connect to Black House Wire
GROUP B:
Connect to White House Wire
BLACK WHITE
* PARALLEL WIRE (round & smooth) * PARALLEL WIRE (square & ridged)
WHITE OR GREY WITH TRACER WHITE OR GREY WITHOUT TRACER
BROWN, GOLD OR BLACK

NOTE: When parallel wire (SPT-I & SPT-2) is used, the tracer wire is square
shaped or ridged and the less tracer wire is round in shape or smooth (seen
best when viewed from wire end.)
STEP 3: Take your îxture wire(s) from group A and place evenly against the
black wire from the outlet box. Do NOT twist wires together before using wire
connectors.
STEP 4: Fit a wire connector over the wires and screw the connector clockwise
until you feel îrmness.
STEP 5: Try gently to pull the connector off the wires. If you can pull the
connector off, carefully re-do steps 3 and 4 as above, and check again for a
îrm connection.
STEP 6: Connect the îxture wire from group B to the white wire from the outlet
box in the same manner. Make sure no bare wires can be seen outside wire
connectors.
FINAL ASSEMBLY
STEP 1: After wires are connected, tuck them carefully inside outlet box.
Raise canopy (D) allowing the mounting screw (A) to protrude through the hole
in the canopy (D), and secure with înials (E).
STEP 2: Install lamp (not supplied). Do not exceed the maximum capacity
recommended on the socket.
STEP 3: Place the glass (N) over the socket (L) and secure with the screws (M).
CLEANING
To clean, wipe îxture with a soft cloth. Clean glass with a mild soap. Do not use
abrasive materials such as scouring pads or powders, steel wool or abrasive paper.

Keep this sheet for future reference, and in case you need to order replacement
parts. Be sure to use exact wording from illustration when ordering parts.

INFORMACIĂN GENERAL
No se necesitan herramientas especiales para instalar esta luminaria. AsegĂșrese de
seguir los pasos en el orden indicado. Bajo ninguna circunstancia se debe colgar una
luminaria de los cables eléctricos de las casas, tampoco se deben instalar en cielos
rasos con sistemas de calefacciĂłn tipo radiante luminarias que usan cables externos
para conexiĂłn. Lea las instrucciones cuidadosamente. Si no sabe exactamente cĂłmo
proceder, consulte con un electricista caliîcado.
NOTA: Un cableado apropiado es fundamental para el funcionamiento seguro
de esta luminaria.
CĂMO ENSAMBLAR LA LUMINARIA
Saque cuidadosamente la luminaria de la caja y compruebe que todas las piezas estén
presentes segĂșn se indica en la îgura. Tenga cuidado de no extraviar ninguno de los
tornillos o piezas, p2-ya que son necesarios para instalar la luminaria.
PASO 1: Enrosque la varilla (J) en el acoplamiento (K). Pase con cuidado los cables a
través de cada varilla durante el ensamblaje. Repita con las varillas (G), (H) e (I) hasta
alcanzar la altura de colgado deseada.
PASO 2: Inserte la varilla (G) en el acoplamiento (F).
INSTALACIĂN
IMPORTANTE: No conecte la luminaria directamente a la caja de salida.
PASO 1: Enrosque el tornillo de montaje (A) en el oriîcio correspondiente de la barra
de montaje (B).
PASO 2: Asegure la barra de montaje (B) a la caja de salida con los tornillos de la caja
de salida (C).
INSTRUCCIONES PARA PUESTA A TIERRA
PASO 1: Meta el tornillo verde para puesta a tierra en el agujero en la barra para
montaje que tiene dos hoyuelos en relieve. Conecte el cable para puesta a tierra que
viene de la luminaria (si se le suministra) al tornillo verde para puesta a tierra, luego
conéctelo al cable para puesta a tierra que viene de la caja de salida (si no estå
asegurado a la caja de salida) mediante un acoplador de cables (que no se suministra).
Si no se suministra el cable para puesta a tierra, conecte el cable para puesta a tierra
(si no estĂĄ asegurado a la caja de salida) de la caja de salida al tornillo verde para
puesta a tierra y apriételo.
NUNCA CONECTE EL CABLE PARA PUESTA A TIERRA A LOS CABLES DE
ALIMENTACIĂN NEGROS O BLANCOS.
PASO 2: Anote los colores de los cables de su luminaria. AverigĂŒe a quĂ© grupo
corresponden los cables de su luminaria y conecte los cables de acuerdo a las
siguientes instrucciones:
NOTA: Cuando se usan cables en paralelo (SPT-I y SPT-2), el cable con trazador es
cuadrado o surcado y el cable que no tiene trazador es redondo o liso (se observa
mejor al verlos desde el extremo de los alambres).
GRUPO A: Conéctelos a los cables
negros de la casa
GRUPO B: Conéctelos a los cables
blancos de la casa
NEGRO BLANCO
* CABLES EN PARALELO
(redondos y lisos)

PASO 3: Tome los cables de su luminaria del grupo A y colĂłquelos uniformemente
contra el cable negro de la caja de salida. NO tuerza los cables entre sĂ antes de
utilizar un conector de cables.
PASO 4: Coloque un conector de cables sobre ellos y enrĂłsquelo en el sentido
horario hasta sentir una resistencia îrme.
PASO 5: Suavemente trate de separar el conector y los cables. Si le es posible
separar el conector, realice cuidadosamente de nuevo los pasos 3 y 4, y compruebe
de nuevo que exista una conexiĂłn îrme.
PASO 6: De la misma manera conecte el cable de una luminaria del grupo B al cable
blanco de la caja de salida. AsegĂșrese de que no sean visibles cables pelados afuera
de los conectores.
ENSAMBLAJE FINAL
PASO 1: Luego de conectar los cables, métalos con cuidado en la caja de salida.
Levante la cĂșpula (D) de manera tal que el tornillo de montaje (A) sobresalga a travĂ©s
del oriîcio en la cĂșpula (D) y, luego, asegĂșrela con los remates (E).
PASO 2: Instale la lĂĄmpara (no suministrada). No exceda la capacidad mĂĄxima
recomendada del conector hembra.
PASO 3: Coloque el vidrio (N) sobre el zĂłcalo (L) y fĂjelo con los tornillos (M).
LIMPIEZA
Para limpiarla, pase un paño suave por la luminaria. Limpie el vidrio con jabón suave.
No use materiales abrasivos como estropajos o polvo para fregar, lana de acero o
papel de lija.
CĂMO ORDENAR PIEZAS
Guarde esta hoja para usarla en el futuro o en caso que necesite ordenar piezas de
repuesto. Al ordenar piezas asegĂșrese de utilizar las palabras exactas que aparecen
en las îguras.
POUR VOTRE SĂCURITĂ

GĂNĂRALITĂS
Vous nâavez pas besoin dâoutils particuliers pour installer ce luminaire. Assurez-vous
de suivre les Ă©tapes selon lâordre indiquĂ©. En aucun cas, un luminaire ne doit ĂȘtre
suspendu par un îl Ă©lectrique rĂ©sidentiel, ni un luminaire Ă suspension ne doit ĂȘtre îxĂ©
Ă un plafond comportant un systĂšme de chauffage par rayonnement. Lisez bien les
instructions. Si vous ĂȘtes incertain de la façon de procĂ©der, consultez un Ă©lectricien
professionnel.
REMARQUE: Un cùblage réglementaire est essentiel pour un fonctionnement
sécuritaire de ce luminaire.
ENSEMBLE DE LUMINAIRE
Retirez soigneusement le luminaire de la boĂźte de carton, puis vĂ©riîez si toutes les
piĂšces correspondant Ă lâillustration sont comprises. Faites attention de ne pas Ă©garer
une vis ou une piĂšce requise pour lâinstallation de ce luminaire.
ĂTAPE 1: Vissez lâanneau (J) dans le raccord (K). Passez soigneusement les îls dans
chaque tige durant lâassemblage. Refaites lâĂ©tape 1 avec les tiges (G), (H) et (I) jusquâĂ
ce que la hauteur de suspension soit atteinte.
ĂTAPE 2: Enîlez la tige (G) dans le manchon (F).
INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT: Ne îxez pas le luminaire directement Ă la boĂźte Ă prises.
ĂTAPE 1: Vissez la vis de îxation (A) dans le trou correspondant de la barre de
îxation (B).
ĂTAPE 2: Fixez la barre de montage (B) au boĂźtier de sortie avec les vis du boĂźtier
de sortie (C).
INSTRUCTIONS DE MISE Ă LA TERRE
ĂTAPE 1: InsĂ©rez la vis verte de mise Ă la terre dans le trou Ă deux encoches en relief
situĂ© dans la barre de suspension. Enroulez le îl de mise Ă la terre du luminaire (sâil est
fourni) autour de la vis verte de mise Ă la terre de la boĂźte Ă prises (sâil nâest pas îxĂ© Ă la
boĂźte Ă prises) au moyen dâun connecteur de îl (non fourni). Si le îl de mise Ă la terre du
luminaire nâest pas fourni, enroulez le îl de mise Ă la terre (sâil nâest pas îxĂ© Ă la boĂźte Ă
prises) autour de la vise verte de mise Ă la terre, puis serrez-la.
NE CONNECTEZ JAMAIS LE FIL DE MISE Ă LA TERRE AU FIL
DâALIMENTATION NOIR OU BLANC.
ĂTAPE 2: Notez la couleur du ou des îl(s) de votre luminaire. DĂ©terminez dans quel
groupe le ou les îl(s) de votre luminaire se trouve(nt), puis connectez le(s) îl(s) selon les
directives îgurant ci-aprĂšs:
REMARQUE: Lorsque lâon utilise un îl parallĂšle (SPT-I et SPT-2), le îl avec dĂ©tecteur
est cĂŽtelĂ© ou de forme carrĂ©e, tandis que le îl sans dĂ©tecteur est lisse ou de forme
ronde (mieux vu Ă lâextrĂ©mitĂ© du îl.)
GROUPE A:
Connectez au îl noir rĂ©sidentiel
GROUPE B:
Connectez au îl blanc rĂ©sidentiel

ĂTAPE 3: Prenez le(s) îl(s) de votre luminaire du groupe A, puis placez-le(s)
uniformĂ©ment contre le îl noir provenant de la boĂźte Ă prises. Ne torsadez PAS les îls
avant dâutiliser des connecteurs de îls.
ĂTAPE 4: Posez des connecteurs sur les îls, puis vissez-les dans le sens horaire
jusquâĂ ce que vous sentiez une rĂ©sistance.
ĂTAPE 5: Essayez de retirer en douceur les connecteurs des îls. Si vous pouvez retirer
le connecteur, refaites soigneusement les Ă©tapes 3 et 4 prĂ©cĂ©dentes, puis vĂ©riîez de
nouveau si la connexion est solide.
ĂTAPE 6: Connectez le îl de luminaire du groupe B au îl blanc de la boĂźte Ă prises
en procĂ©dant de la mĂȘme façon. Assurez-vous que lâon ne peut voir aucun îl nu Ă
lâextĂ©rieur des connecteurs de îls.
ASSEMBLAGE FINAL
ĂTAPE 1: Une fois les îls connectĂ©s, rentrez-les soigneusement dans la boĂźte Ă prises.
Soulevez la monture (D) de maniÚre à ce que la vis de montage (A) dépasse du trou
de la monture (D), et îxez le tout avec les faĂźteaux (E).
ĂTAPE 2: Installez la lampe (non fournie). NâexcĂ©dez pas la capacitĂ© maximale
recommandée indiquée sur la douille.
ĂTAPE 3: Placez le verre (N) sur la douille (L) et îxez-le avec les vis (M).
NETTOYAGE
Pour nettoyer le luminaire, utilisez un chiffon doux. Nettoyez le verre au savon doux.
Nâutilisez pas de produits abrasifs comme des tampons Ă rĂ©curer ou des poudres Ă
rĂ©curer, de la laine dâacier ou du papier abrasif.
COMMANDE DE PIĂCES
Conservez ces instructions pour une consultation ultĂ©rieure et au cas oĂč vous auriez Ă
commander des piĂšces de rechange. Assurez-vous dâutiliser les lettres exactes îgurant
dans lâillustration au moment de commander des piĂšces.
