D-1000 Dimmer Switch
INSTRUCTIONS
Thank you for choosing the Impact D-1000 Dimmer Control. This device gives
you stepless control of your oodlight, allowing you to get just the right
amount of light without having to move lights or swap out lamps to adjust
the light intensity in a scene. Simply slide the control and you’ve got the
amount of light you want. The D-1000 Dimmer Control is great for backlights,
lls, and hair lights. There is only a slight warming of light temperature when
dimming a tungsten light. Please read these operating instructions and safety
precautions carefully before operating this equipment.

• Extends the life of incandescent lamps

Warning
This device is not for use with lights of more than 1000 W. It should be used
only with incandescent bulbs – not for use with uorescent lights. It will
shorten the life of halogen bulbs if they are used under their stated voltage.
Do not use this dimmer switch for extended periods of time. Excess heat may
develop in the unit, which could result in damage to the dimmer switch and
the lights connected to it. Do not use this device in an environment where
moisture is likely to come in contact with the unit. Turn the power off and
unplug the power cord when the unit is not in use.

1. Plug your oodlight into the
dimmer control, then plug the
dimmer into a 110-120V AC
outlet.
2. Power up your oodlight.
3. Slide the control to increase or
decrease light output.
4. To change the fuse, unplug the
dimmer from both the power
source and the light, then
remove the three screws from
the bottom. Lift the cover off
and carefully remove the old
fuse from its socket. Insert
a new 15 A 250 V fuse in its
place, making sure that it is
securely seated. Replace the
dimmer cover and securely
tighten the screws. Two spare
fuses are included.
