The benets provided under this warranty are in addition to other rights and
remedies which are available to you at law.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded at law. You are entitled to
a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other
reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods
repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure
does not amount to a major failure.
Generally you will be responsible for all costs associated with a claim under this
warranty, however, where you have suffered any additional direct loss as a result of
a defective product you may be able to claim such expenses by contacting our
customer service helpline above.
WARNING
The following actions will result in the warranty being
void.
• If the tool has been operated on a supply voltage other than that specied
on the tool.
• If the tool shows signs of damage or defects caused by or resulting from
abuse, accidents or alterations.
• Failure to perform maintenance as set out within the instruction manual.
• If the tool is disassembled or tampered with in any way.
• Professional, industrial or high frequency use.
5 YEAR REPLACEMENT WARRANTY
Your Product is guaranteed for a period of 60 months from the original date of
purchase and is intended for DIY (Do It Yourself) use only. If a product is defective it
will be replaced in accordance with the terms of this warranty. Lithium Ion
batteries and chargers are covered by a 36 month
warranty and are excluded from the warranty extension. Warranty excludes
consumable parts, for example: blade, blade cover cutting collector, bearings.

1. ASSEMBLY
SETUP & PREPARATION
The blade cover protects the blade
when not in use. Simply slide it off
the blade before use. Once nished
operating, place the cover back over
the blade.

Fitting the Front Handle
Metal Contacts
1. Slide the Front Handle over the Rear Handle, ensuring the
metal contacts on the Front Handle align and connect with the
corresponding metal contacts on the hedge trimmer housing.
Position the Front Handle on the motor housing so that the screw
holes in the handle align with the threaded holes in the motor
housing.
2. Insert the supplied assembly
screws and tighten them securely
to fasten the front handle in place.
WARNING!KEEP THE BLADE COVER FITTED OVER THE
BLADE WHILE ASSEMBLING THE FRONT HANDLE TO
HELP PREVENT INJURY.
2. CONTROLS & PREPERATION
Align the ribs of the battery with the recess in the housing and slide the
battery in so that it clicks into place.
Press and hold the battery release tab and slide the battery out from the
hedge trimmer.

HEDGERAKER Cuttings Collector
For horizontal cutting we recommend that you install the cuttings
collector. This enables you to remove the cuttings easily as the surface
of the hedge remains clear.
1. Position the cuttings collector on the cutter rail.
2. Then push the cuttings collector towards the end of the blade to
clamp it securely under the three retaining pins.

Only use 2 batteries with the same capacity (Ah). Always use 2 batteries
with the same charge state with the hedge trimmer.
Run Time
The operating time of the PXC battery (the area that can be covered
with a single battery charge) is largely dependent on the state of the
shrubbery (e.g. Density, moisture, thickness, etc.) and the hedge trimmer
speed (rate of work).
Frequently turning the equipment on and off while hedge trimming
will also reduce the amount runtime and area that you can covered. If
the operating time of the PXC battery (runtime and area coverage) is
still unsatisfactory in spite of the above measures, you can remedy the
problem by using PXC batteries with a larger capacity (Ah).

1. With one hand depress
and hold one of the safety
switches on the front handle.
2. To start the hedge
trimmer, squeeze the on/
off trigger.
3. Once either the safety switch or on/off trigger is released the hedge
trimmer will slow to a stop.
Switching On and Off
For user safety the hedge trimmer is equipped with a two-handed
safety switch. It works only when one of the switches on the front
handle is pressed and the on/off trigger are operated simultaneously.
WARNING!: BEFORE YOU START THE UNIT, MAKE SURE
THAT THE HEDGE TRIMMER IS NOT MAKING CONTACT
WITH ANY OBJECTS.
WARNING!: DO NOT OPERATE THE MACHINE WITH
LONG LOOSE HAIR OR LOOSE FITTING JEWELLERY. TIE
LONG LOOSE HAIR BACK AND REMOVE LOOSE FITTING
JEWELLERY.
