REGISTER YOUR MELLERWARE WARRANTY
Thank you for purchasing a Mellerware product. Mellerware guarantees
that your product has been thoroughly inspected and tested before being
dispatched and is free from mechanical or electrical defects and complies
with the applicable safety standards. With every Mellerware product
purchased you will receive up to a 3 year warranty as detailed in the terms
and conditions below.
FIRST YEAR – 1 YEAR RETAIL WARRANTY
Should defects due to faulty parts or workmanship develop, under normal
domestic use, within 12 months from the original date of purchase please
return the product to the store from where it was purchased for a refund
or replacement at the discretion of the brand. Mellerware appliances are
intended for domestic use only and not for industrial or professional use.
The Warranty, if the product is used outside of domestic use or used in a
commercial environment, is reduced to 3 months with no extended war-
ranty available, all other terms and conditions applicable.
SECOND YEAR – OPTIONAL 1 YEAR ADDITIONAL EXTENDED
ONLINE WARRANTY REGISTRATION
Mellerware takes pride in its product quality and therefore offer an
extended 12 month warranty over and above the 1 Year Retail Warranty.
Should defects due to faulty material or workmanship develop, under normal
domestic use, after the initial 12 month period and within 24 months from
the original date of purchase, please return the product to Mellerware for
repair. Mellerware will assess and repair the product free of charge should
it be found to be a valid warranty claim and will return it to you directly.
Mellerware will replace a product with a similar product in the same or
better condition, if the repair cannot be conducted for whatever reason.
Should the product fall outside of the warranty, Mellerware will produce a
repair and delivery quotation for your approval.

Should you experience any technical difculties you are welcome to
contact our customer service line on 086 111 5006 and one of our
consultants will gladly assist with the online warranty registration. Should
you not register the product within the 12 months of purchase, you will
automatically forfeit this extended warranty.
THIRD YEAR – OPTIONAL 1 YEAR ADDITIONAL EXTENDED
COMMUNICATION OPT IN WARRANTY
Mellerware takes pride in its product quality and therefore offer an addi-
tional 12 month warranty over and above the 1 Year Retail and 1 year
online registration warranty. Should defects due to faulty material or
workmanship develop, under normal domestic use, after the initial 12 month
period, the extended online registration 12 month period and within 36
months from the original date of purchase, please return the product to
Mellerware for repair. Mellerware will assess and repair the product free of
charge should it be found to be a valid warranty claim and will return it to
you directly. Mellerware will replace a product with a similar product in the
same or better condition, if the repair cannot be conducted for whatever
reason. Should the product fall outside of the warranty, Mellerware will
produce a repair and delivery quotation for your approval.

opt-in email communication. Should you wish to qualify for the additional
third year extended warranty, you would need to have registered your
warranty within the rst 12 months from date of purchase and subscribed
to receive brand communication. The extended warranty is conditional
upon these requirements. Please note that you are however free to opt
out at any stage in accordance with the POPI act, this will however result
in you forfeiting this additional extended “communication opt in” warranty
from the recorded opt-out date.
Before returning your product, check the following:
•Your household mains supply socket is in good condition, working and
switched on.
• The mains supply circuit is not overloaded (white trip switch on your
DB board is off).
•You have read the trouble shooting guide in your Instructions for Use.
•All accessories and parts are present.
The following conditions apply:
1. Please ensure you retain your original receipt as this must be
presented when making a claim under the terms of the warranty.
It is impossible to determine the warranty period without proof of
purchase, so please keep this in a safe place. (NB. Your original receipt
can be scanned onto the Mellerware website [www.mellerware.co.za]
or Creative Housewares (Pty) Ltd [www.creativehousewares.co.za]
for safe storage.)
2. If a refund or exchange is required the product must be complete
with all accessories, parts and packaging. Missing parts will render the
warranty void. Any refund or exchange remains at the brands discre-
tion beyond the implied warranty granted by the CPA.
3. Upon receipt of your appliance, check it for any transport damage to
ensure it is safe for use. Return it to the store as soon as possible for
exchange if damaged. The warranty is void if products are damaged
after use, so please do not use a damaged product.
4. Any alteration made to the appliance purchased will void the warranty.
5. Your product is designed for normal domestic household use. Failure
to read and comply with the instructions for use, cleaning and
maintenance will render your warranty void, so please read these
instructions carefully to ensure your safety, and to get the most effec-
tive use from the product (e.g. not removing limescale; water deposits;
insect infestation, and/or burnt products).
6. Any abuse, negligent, improper or accidental use or care will render
the warranty void and Creative Housewares (Pty) Ltd will not be
liable for any loss or damage.
7. Any attempted repair, or replacement of unauthorised parts will ren-
der the warranty void, so please contact an authorised service centre
or service agent for any service or repair requirements.
8. NB: The warranty on replaced products will be from the original date
of purchase and not from when the date replacement was made.
9. All repairs carry a 3 month warranty even if this falls outside of the
warranty period.
10. Mellerware will attempt to conduct repairs within reasonable time,
this in line with industry standards but cannot be held responsible or
liable for any circumstances not under the brand’s control.
11. This warranty does not apply to glass components, lters, consum-
ables, and other parts subject to fair wear and tear.
Repairs out of the warranty period:
If service or repair becomes necessary outside the warranty period, this
service is still available however all transport/postage, spares and labour
costs will be for the customers’ account. All chargeable repairs will require
the customers’ written acceptance of the quote. Once the go-ahead has
been received Mellerware will undertake to conduct the repair within a
reasonable time and maintain the condition of the product as received. All
repairs carry a warranty of 3 months from the date of the repair.

2. Belangrike veiligheidsvoorsorg:

2.1. Gebruik en werksomgewing:
2.1.1. Hierdie toestel is uitsluitlik ontwerp vir huishoudelike gebruik en

3.3. Werking van die waaier:
3.3.1. Tydskakelaar:
• Hierdie toestel het ‘n tydskakelaar vir outomatiese afskakeling aan die
einde van die gestelde tyd.
• Om die tyd in te stel, draai die tydsknop (A) kloksgewys na die posisie
wat ooreenstem met die gewenste bedryfstyd (0-120 min.).
• Om die toestel in ‘n deurlopende wyse te bedryf, en dus die gebruik
van die tydskakelaar uit te sluit, draai die knop teenkloksgewys na die
“AAN” posisie.
3.3.2. Bedryf:
• Om die toestel aan te skakel, druk die spoedskakelaarknop (B)
• 0 = Af
• 1 = Minimum spoed
• 2 = Medium spoed
• 3 = Maksimum spoed
• Om ossillasie (links-reghoekig) te aktiveer, druk die OSC-knoppie (C).
Om die toestel af te skakel, druk die “0” knoppie van die spoedskake-
laarknop (B) of draai die tydsknop (A) na die “AF” posisie, en verwyder
dan die prop uit die sokkel.
Wanneer dit nie vir lang periodes gebruik word nie, moet die prop
altyd uit die sok verwyder word.
4. Skoonmaak en instandhouding:
4.1.1. Skakel altyd jou toestel af en ontkoppel dit voordat jy enige
skoonmaak- of instandhoudingsproses aanpak.
4.1.2. Maak die liggaam skoon met ‘n sagte, effens klam lap. Moenie
enige skuurmiddels of chemiese oplosmiddels gebruik om die toestel
skoon te maak nie.
4.1.3. Moet nie enige deel van die waaier in water of ander vloeistof
dompel nie: as dit wel gebeur, moenie jou hand in die vloeistof steek nie,
maar verwyder eers die prop uit die sok. Droog die toestel versigtig af en
maak seker dat al die elektriese dele droog is: in geval van twyfel, vra vir
professioneel gekwalifiseerde hulp.
4.1.4. Dit is noodsaaklik dat die luggate van die motor vry van stof en
pluis gehou word.
4.1.5. As die waaier vir lang tydperke nie gebruik gaan word nie, moet
dit beskerm word teen stof en humiditeit; ons beveel aan om dit in sy
oorspronklike verpakking te stoor.
5. Anomalieë en herstel:
5.1. Neem die toestel na ‘n gemagtigde ondersteuningsentrum as die
produk beskadig is of ander probleme ontstaan.

2. Safety advice and warnings!
Read these instructions carefully before switching on the appliance
and keep them for future reference. Failure to follow and observe these
instructions could lead to an accident. Clean all the parts of the product,
as indicated in the cleaning section, before use.
2.1. Use or working environment:
2.1.1. This appliance is designed solely for domestic use and for the
designated purpose.
2.1.2. Do not use the appliance outdoors (unless it has been specifically
designed for outdoor use).
2.1.3. Use the appliance in a well ventilated area.
2.1.4. Do not subject the appliance to heat, direct sunshine or very high
moisture (e.g. rain).
2.1.5. Never immerse the appliance in liquids and be aware of sharp
edges that may damage it.
2.1.6. Never use the appliance with wet or damp hands. Unplug it im-
mediately if it becomes wet or damp when it is running.
2.1.7. Keep children and bystanders away when using this appliance.
2.1.8. Do not use the appliance in association with a programmer, timer
or other device that automatically switches it on.
2.1.9. Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged.
2.1.10. Ensure that the voltage indicated on the rating label matches the
mains power supply voltage before plugging in the appliance.
2.1.11. Connect the appliance to the mains power supply with an earth
socket withstanding a minimum of 10 amperes.
2.1.12. The appliance’s plug must fit into the mains power supply socket
properly. Do not alter the plug.
2.1.13. If using a multi-plug, check ratings carefully as the current used
by several appliances could easily exceed the rating of the multi-plug.
2.1.14. If any of the appliance casings break, immediately disconnect
the appliance from the mains power supply to prevent the possibility of

2.1.15. Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor or if there are

2.1.16. Do not force the power cord. Never use the power cord to lift up,
carry or unplug the appliance.

2.2.2. Do not touch the heated parts of the appliance, as it may cause
serious burns.
2.2.3. This appliance is only for domestic use, not for industrial or
professional use. It is not intended to be used by guests in hospitality
environments such as bed and breakfast, hotels, motels, and other types
of residential environments, even in farm houses, areas of the kitchen
staff in shops, offices and other work environments.
2.2.4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
2.2.5. This appliance is not a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
Be aware that high humidity levels may encourage the growth of biologi-
cal organisms in the environment.
2.2.6. Do not permit the area around the appliance to become damp or
wet. If dampness occurs, turn the output of the humidifier down. If the
humidifier output volume cannot be turned down, use the appliance inter-
mittently. Do not allow absorbent materials, such as carpeting, curtains,
drapes, or tablecloths, to become damp.
2.2.7. Unplug the appliance during filling and cleaning.
2.2.8. Warning! Never use without the guards in place. After assembly, do
not remove the guards during use or cleaning.
2.3. Use and care:
2.3.1. Do not turn the appliance over while it is in use or connected to the
mains power supply.
2.3.2. Do not block the inlet or outlet ports.
2.3.3. Unplug the appliance from the mains power supply when not in use
and before undertaking any cleaning task.
2.3.4. This appliance should be stored out of reach of children.
2.3.5. Do not store the appliance if it is still hot.
2.3.6. Never leave the appliance unattended when in use and keep out of
the reach of children.
2.3.7. The appliance should not be exposed to heat.
2.3.8. Unplug the appliance from the mains supply socket after use and
before every cleaning. Pull the plug, not the mains cable, in order to
disconnect the appliance from the mains.
2.3.9. If, for some reason, the appliance were to catch fire, disconnect
the appliance from the mains power supply and DO NOT USE WATER TO
PUT THE FIRE OUT.
2.4. Service:
2.4.1. Make sure that the appliance is serviced only by suitably qualified
technician, and that only original spare parts or accessories are used to
replace existing parts/accessories.
2.4.2. If the power cord is damaged, the manufacturer or its service agent
or a similarly qualified person must replace it in order to avoid a hazard.
2.4.3. Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use renders the
guarantee and the manufacturer’s liability null and void.
3. Instructions for use:
3.1. Before use:
• After removing the packing materials, check the integrity of the fan;
if you are unsure, do not use it and ask for qualified professional help.
The packing materials (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, etc.) must
be kept out the reach of children because they are potential sources
of danger.
• Before connecting the appliance, check that the voltage values shown
on the data plate correspond to those of the electricity supply network.
In the event of incompatibility between the electric outlet and the plug,
have the outlet replaced with another more suitable type by professionally
qualified personnel, who will make sure that the section of the wires of
the outlet is appropriate for the absorbed power of the fan. In general,
the use of adapters or extension cords is not recommended. If their use
is indispensable, they must conform to existing safety standards and
their current capacity (amperes) must not be less that the maximum of
the appliance.
• The power socket must be easy to reach so the plug can be removed
quickly in case of emergency.
• To not place the appliance near sinks or other container of liquids
(minimum distance of 2 meters) to avoid the risk of it falling in.
• Keep the fan far away from fabrics (curtains, etc.) or unstable materials
that could obstruct the air intake grille; make sure that the front is free of
unstable materials (dust, etc.).
• Make sure that the electric cord is not touching rough, hot or moving
surfaces and it’s not twisted or wrapped around the appliance.
• Stand the appliance on a horizontal, flat surface or table, do not stand
on a inclined plane.
• In the event of a breakdown or poor operation, turn the fan off and ask
for professionally qualified help.
3.2. Assembly:
Attention: the fan can only be used if complete with the support base
(base1 and base 2).
Attention: always unplug the appliance before you assemble.

To mount the base, follow the steps below.
• Place power cord in the round hole between base 1 and base 2, then
assemble the 2 bases by clipping joints at their center lines.
• Fix the power cord in the slot of base.
• Put the fan body onto the base through the 4 holes of base, make sure
it clips between body and base holes, make sure its secured.
Attention: Before assembly of base 1 and base 2, always make sure the
power cord is through the hole between base 1 and base 2.

3.3. Operation of the fan:
3.3.1. Timer:
• This appliance has a timer for automatic switching off at the end of
the time set.
• To set the time turn the timer knob (A) clockwise to the position cor-
responding to the desired operating time (0-120 min.).
• In order to operate the appliance in a continuous manner, and to
therefore exclude use of the timer, turn the knob anticlockwise to the
“ON” position.
3.3.2. Operation:
After setting the timer:
• To switch the appliance on, press the speed switch button (B)
• 0 = Off
• 1 = Speed minimum
• 2 = Speed medium
• 3 = Speed maximum
• To activate oscillation (right-left) ,press the OSC button(C).
To switch off the appliance, press the “0” button of speed witch knob(B)
or turn the timer knob(A) to the “OFF” position, and then remove the plug
from the socket.
When not in use for long periods, the plug must always be removed
from the socket.
4. Cleaning and maintenance:
4.1.1. Always turn off your appliance and unplug before attempting any
cleaning or maintenance process.
4.1.2. Clean the body with soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use any
abrasive substances or chemical solvents to clean the appliance.
4.1.3. Do not immerse any part of the fan in water or other liquid: if this
should happen, do not put your hand in the liquid, but first remove the
plug from the socket. Carefully dry the appliance and make sure that all
the electrical parts are dry: in the case of doubt, ask for professionally
qualified help.
4.1.4. It is essential that the motor’s air holes be kept from dust and lint.
4.1.5. If the fan will not be used for long periods, it must be protected

aangesien daar ‘n risiko op ‘n ongeluk is.
2.2.2. Moenie die verhitte dele van die toestel aanraak nie, dit kan ernstige
brandwonde veroorsaak.
2.2.3. Hierdie toestel is slegs vir huishoudelike gebruik, nie vir industriële
of professionele gebruik nie. Dit is nie bedoel vir gebruik deur gaste in
gasvryheidsomgewings soos gastehuise, hotelle, motels, en ander tipes
residensiële omgewings nie, selfs nie op plaashuise, in areas van die
kombuispersoneel in winkels, kantore en ander werkomgewings nie.
2.2.4. Hierdie toestel is nie bedoel vir gebruik deur persone (insluitend
kinders) met verminderde fisiese, sensoriese of mentale vermoëns, of
gebrek aan ervaring en kennis, tensy hulle toesig of onderrig oor die
gebruik van die toestel ontvang het deur ‘n persoon wat verantwoordelik
is vir hul veiligheid.
2.2.5. Hierdie toestel is nie ‘n speelding nie. Kinders moet toesig hê om
te verseker dat hulle nie met die toestel speel nie. Wees bewus daarvan
dat hoë humiditeitsvlakke die groei van biologiese organismes in die
omgewing kan bevorder.
2.2.6. Moenie toelaat dat die area rondom die toestel klam of nat word
nie. As daar vogtigheid voorkom, draai die uitset van die bevochtiger af.
As die bevochtiger-uitsetvolume nie afgestel kan word nie, gebruik die
toestel dan discontinue. Moenie absorberende materiale, soos matjies,
gordyne, drapes, of tafeldoeke, klam laat word nie.
2.2.7. Ontkoppel die toestel tydens vul en skoonmaak.
2.2.8. Waarskuwing! Moet nooit sonder die wagtowers gebruik word nie.
Na montasie, verwyder nie die wagtowers tydens gebruik of skoonmaak
nie.
2.3. Gebruik en sorg:
2.3.1. Draai die toestel nie om terwyl dit in gebruik is of aan die kragbron
aangesluit is nie.
2.3.2. Blokkeer nie die inlaat- of uitlaatpunte nie.
2.3.3. Ontkoppel die toestel van die kragbron wanneer dit nie in gebruik is
nie en voor enige skoonmaaktaak.
2.3.4. Hierdie toestel moet buite die bereik van kinders gestoor word.
2.3.5. Berg die toestel nie op as dit nog warm is nie.
2.3.6. Laat nooit die toestel onbeheerd agter wanneer dit in gebruik is en
hou dit buite die bereik van kinders.
2.3.7. Die toestel moet nie aan hitte blootgestel word nie.
2.3.8. Ontkoppel die toestel na gebruik van die kragpunt en voor elke
skoonmaak. Trek die prop uit, nie die kragkabel, om die toestel van die
kragbron te ontbind.
2.3.9. Indien, om een of ander rede, die toestel sou begin brand,
ontkoppel die toestel van die kragbron en GEBRUIK GEEN WATER OM DIE
BRAND TE BLUS.
2.4. Diens:
2.4.1. Verseker dat die toestel slegs deur ‘n geskik gekwalifiseerde
tegnikus gediens word, en dat slegs oorspronklike reservedele of bykom-
stighede gebruik word om bestaande dele/bykomstighede te vervang.
2.4.2. As die kragkabel beskadig is, moet die vervaardiger of sy
diensagent of ‘n soortgelyk gekwalifiseerde persoon dit vervang om ‘n
gevaar te voorkom.
2.4.3. Enige misbruik of versuim om die gebruiksinstruksies te volg,
maak die waarborg en die aanspreeklikheid van die vervaardiger nietig
en ongeldig.
3. Instruksies vir gebruik:
3.1. Voor gebruik:
• Na die verwydering van die verpakkingsmateriaal, kontroleer die
integriteit van die waaier; as jy onseker is, gebruik dit nie en vra vir gek-
walifiseerde professionele hulp nie. Die verpakkingsmateriaal (plastiese
sakke, polistireenfoam, naels, ens.) moet buite die bereik van kinders
gehou word omdat hulle potensiële bronne van gevaar is.
• Voordat die toestel aangesluit word, kontroleer dat die spanningwaardes
wat op die dataplankie aangedui word, ooreenstem met dié van die elek-
trisiteitsvoorsieningsnetwerk. In die geval van onversoenbaarheid tussen
die elektriese uitlaat en die prop, laat die uitlaat vervang word met ‘n ander
meer geskikte tipe deur gekwalifiseerde personeel, wat sal verseker dat
die draadafdeling van die uitlaat geskik is vir die opgeneemde krag van die
waaier. In die algemeen word die gebruik van adapters of verlengsnoere
nie aanbeveel nie. As hul gebruik onontbeerlik is, moet hulle voldoen aan
bestaande veiligheidsstandaarde en mag hul huidige kapasiteit (ampere)
nie minder wees as die maksimum van die toestel nie.
• Die kragprop moet maklik bereikbaar wees sodat die prop vinnig
verwyder kan word in geval van ‘n noodgeval• Moet die toestel nie naby
wasbakke of ander houers met vloeistowwe plaas nie (minimum afstand
van 2 meter) om die risiko te vermy dat dit in val.
• Hou die waaier ver weg van materiale (gordyne, ens.) of onstabiele
materiale wat die luginlaatrooster kan versper; maak seker dat die voork-
ant vry is van onstabiele materiale (stof, ens.).
• Verseker dat die elektriese snoer nie ruwe, warm of bewegende opperv-
laktes raak nie en dit nie verdraai of om die toestel gewikkel is nie.
• Plaas die toestel op ‘n horisontale, plat oppervlak of tafel, moenie op ‘n
skuins vlak staan nie.
• In die geval van ‘n breuk of swak werking, skakel die waaier af en vra
vir gekwalifiseerde professionele hulp.
3.2. Monteer:
Let op: die waaier kan slegs gebruik word indien dit volledig is met die
steunbasis (basis 1 en basis 2).
Let op: trek altyd die toestel uit voordat jy dit monteer.

Om die basis te monteer, volg die stappe hieronder.
• Plaas die kragkoord in die ronde gat tussen basis 1 en basis 2, monteer
dan die 2 basisse deur die skarniere by hul sentrale lyne aan mekaar
vas te kliek.
• Bevestig die kragkoord in die gleuf van die basis.
• Plaas die waaierliggaam op die basis deur die 4 gate van die basis,
maak seker dat dit tussen die liggaam en basisgate kliek, maak seker
dat dit vas is.
Let op: Voordat die basis 1 en basis 2 gemonteer word, maak altyd seker
dat die kragkoord deur die gat tussen basis 1 en basis 2 is.
