• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur entsprechend seiner Bestimmung laut Gebrauchs-

Lieferumfang

Bitte prüfen Sie zunächst, ob das Gerät vollständig ist und keinerlei Beschädigung

aufweist. Im Zweifelsfalle nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb und wenden Sie

sich an Ihre Servicestelle. Zum Lieferumfang gehören:

• 1 Knopfzellen-Batterie CR 2032, 3V

• 1 Gebrauchsanweisung

Verpackungen sind wiederverwertbar oder können dem Rohstoffkreislauf

zurückgeführt werden. Bitte entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigtes

Verpackungsmaterial ordnungsgemäß. Sollten Sie beim Auspacken einen

Transportschaden bemerken, setzen Sie sich bitte sofort mit Ihrem Händler

in Verbindung.

WARNUNG

Achten Sie darauf, dass die Verpackungsfolien nicht in die Hände

von Kindern gelangen. Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr!

INBETRIEBNAHME - Batterie entnehmen/einlegen:

Die MEDISANA Elektronische Glas-Küchenwaage ist direkt zum Einsatz KS 220

bereit, da eine Batterie bereits im Gerät vormontiert ist. Bevor Sie die Waage in

Betrieb nehmen können, müssen Sie den Isolationsstreifen aus dem Batteriefach

5 an der Unterseite des Gerätes ziehen. Wechseln Sie die Batterie aus, wenn

das Batteriewechsel-Symbol „ “ im Display erscheint oder wenn im Display

2 nichts angezeigt wird, nachdem Sie das Gerät eingeschaltet haben. Legen Sie

eine 3V-Batterie (Lithium-Knopfzelle Typ CR2032) ein. Achten Sie dabei auf die

Polarität (Plus-Pol nach oben; zum Deckel weisend).

Einstellen der Uhrzeit

Die Anzeige der Uhrzeit erfolgt bei diesem Gerät im 12-Stunden-Modus. Um die

Uhrzeit zu stellen, drücken und halten Sie die Taste „TIME“

7 für ca. 4 Sekunden,

bis die Minutenanzeige blinkt. Stellen Sie die korrekte Minutenzahl durch Betä-

tigung der Taste „UNIT“ 4 ein und bestätigen Sie mit „TIME“ 7. Verfahren Sie

anschließend analog mit der Einstellung der Stunden.

Die Timer-Funktion

Das Gerät besitzt eine Timer-Funktion, bei der Sie einen Countdown einstellen

können. Nach Ablauf der eingestellten Countdown-Zeit (0000) ertönt ein 30-sekün-

diger, akustischer Alarm. Der Alarm kann jederzeit durch einen beliebigen Tasten-

druck gestoppt werden. Um eine Countdown-Zeit einzustellen, drücken Sie zuerst

die Taste „TIME“ 7. Auf dem Display blinken die Minuten und „TMR“ erscheint.

Stellen Sie die Minuten mit der Taste „UNIT“ 4 ein und drücken Sie erneut auf

„TIME“ 7. Der Countdown beginnt. Um den Countdown abzubrechen, drücken

Sie auf „TIME“ 7. Erneuter Druck auf „TIME“ 7 setzt den Countdown fort.

Die Temperatur-Anzeige

Das Gerät besitzt eine Temperatur-Anzeige, welche die Raumtemperatur in °C

(Grad Celsius) oder °F (Grad Fahrenheit) anzeigt. Drücken Sie die Taste „°C/°F“

6, um zwischen den Einheiten umzuschalten.

Waage ein-/ausschalten

• Stellen Sie das Gerät auf einen ebenen, festen Untergrund.

• Schalten Sie die Waage ein, indem Sie die Ein-/Aus-Taste

3 drücken.

• Es erscheint zunächst „ “ auf dem Display HELO 2 und dann eine „ “.0

• Die Waage schaltet sich automatisch in den Uhranzeigemodus, wenn ca. 30

Sekunden lang keine Bedienung erfolgt oder wenn Sie die Ein-/Aus-Taste

drücken.

Gewichtseinheit ändern

• Sie können sich das Gewicht in Gramm (g), Kilogramm (kg), oz. oder in lb:oz.

anzeigen lassen. Betätigen Sie die Taste „UNIT“

4, um die angezeigte Einheit

zu wechseln.

Wiegen

• Nachdem im Display 2 „0“ angezeigt wird, legen Sie das Wiegegut auf die

Wiegeäche 1. Das Gewicht wird im Display 2 angezeigt.

Tarierfunktion / Zuwiegen

• Wenn Sie beabsichtigen, das Wiegegut in einem Behälter zu wiegen, muss

sich der Behälter bereits vor dem Einschalten auf der Wiegeäche

1 benden.

Sie können das Gewicht des Behälters auch „löschen“, indem Sie die Ein-/

Aus- bzw. „TARE“-Taste 3 drücken. Im Display wird „ “ angezeigt.0

• Geben Sie nun das Wiegegut dazu. Das Gewicht wird im Display

2 angezeigt.

Betätigen Sie die „TARE“-Taste 3. Im Display 2 wird wieder „ “ angezeigt. 0

Sie können nun das nächste Wiegegut dazugeben. Dieser Vorgang lässt sich

beliebig oft wiederholen.

Überlast

Die Waage hat eine Tragkraft von max. 5 kg bzw. 11 lb:0.4 oz. Wird dieses Ge-

wicht überschritten, erscheint auf dem Display die Anzeige „ “.EEEE

Reinigung und Pege

Verwenden Sie nie aggressive Reinigungsmittel oder starke Bürsten. Reinigen

Sie die Waage nur mit einem weichen, leicht angefeuchteten Tuch, am besten

nach jeder Benutzung. Verwenden Sie keinesfalls scharfe Reinigungsmittel oder

Alkohol. In das Gerät darf kein Wasser eindringen. Benutzen Sie das Gerät erst

wieder, wenn es völlig trocken ist. Setzen Sie das Gerät nicht direkter Sonnen-

strahlung oder hohen Temperaturen aus.

Die Wiegeäche 1 ist zur leichteren Reinigung abdrehbar. Drehen Sie die Flä-

che dazu vorsichtig entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn ab. Bitte beachten Sie, dass die

Wiegeäche NICHT zur Reinigung in einem Geschirrspüler geeignet ist! Nach der

Reinigung setzen Sie die Wiegeäche durch Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn wieder auf.

Garantie- und Reparaturbedingungen

Bitte wenden Sie sich im Garantiefall an Ihr Fachgeschäft oder direkt an die Ser-

vicestelle. Sollten Sie das Gerät einschicken müssen, geben Sie bitte den Defekt

an und legen eine Kopie der Kaufquittung bei.

Es gelten dabei die folgenden Garantiebedingungen:

1. Auf MEDISANA Produkte wird ab Verkaufsdatum eine Garantie für 3 Jahre

gewährt. Das Verkaufsdatum ist im Garantiefall durch Kaufquittung oder

Rechnung nachzuweisen.

2. Mängel infolge von Material- oder Fertigungsfehlern werden innerhalb der

Garantiezeit kostenlos beseitigt.

3. Durch eine Garantieleistung tritt keine Verlängerung der Garantiezeit, weder

für das Gerät noch für ausgewechselte Bauteile, ein.

4. Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind:

GETTING STARTED - Removing / Inserting battery:

The MEDISANA Electronical glass kitchen scales is directly ready to use, KS 220

as the battery is already inserted into the device. Before you can use the scales,

you need to remove the insulation foil from the battery compartment

5 on the un-

derside of the device. Change the battery when the battery change symbol „ “

appears in the display 2 or when nothing is shown in the display after the device

is switched on. Put a 3V battery (lithium-button cell of type CR2032) into the com-

partment. Make sure the polarity is correct („+“ pointing upwards to the lid).

Adjusting the clock

The clock on this scale is a 12-hour-mode clock. To adjust the clock, press and

hold the „TIME“ button 7 for approx. 4 seconds until the minutes ash. Set the

minutes by pressing the „UNIT“ button

4 and conrm the setting with the „TIME“

button 7. Proceed in the same way to set the correct hours.

The timer function

This device features a timer function. With this you may set a target time to start a

countdown. If the countdown has ended (0000), an acoustic alarm will be emitted

for 30 seconds. You may press any button to stop the alarm. To adjust a target time,

rst press the „TIME“ button 7. The minutes will ash in the display, while „TMR“

is also appearing. Adjust the minutes by pressing the „UNIT“ button

4 and press

„TIME“ button 7 again. The countdown starts. To abort the countdown, press the

„TIME“ button 7. Another press on „TIME“

7 will continue the countdown.

The temperature display

The device features a temperature display, which shows the room temperature in

°C (degree Celsius) or °F (degree Fahrenheit). Press the „°C/°F“ button

switch between the two units.

Switching the scales on or off

• Place the scales on a rm, level base.

• Switch the scales on by pressing the On-/Off- button

• After approximate 30 seconds of non-usage, the device will automatically

switch to clock mode. This can also be executed manually by pressing the

On-/Off- button

Change the unit of weight

• You may select grams (g), kilograms (kg), oz. or lb:oz. as the unit of weight.

Press the „UNIT“ button

4 to change the unit of weight.

Weighing

• After the display 2 shows „ “, you can put the item(s) to weigh on the weighing 0

surface 1. The weight will be shown in the display

Tare function

• If you want to weigh items in a container, the container should be placed on the

weighing surface

1 before you switch on the scales. You may also „delete“ the

weight of the container by pressing the On-/Off resp. „TARE“

3 button. The

display will show „ “.0

• Now add the items to weigh. The weight will be shown on the display

Press the „TARE“ 3 button. The display 2 will again show „ “. Now you 0

may add the next item to weigh. You may repeat this procedure several times

as desired.

Excess load

The scales have a load capacity of max. 5 kg resp. 11 lb:0.4 oz. The display will

show „ “ if this maximum load is exceeded.EEEE

Cleaning and care

Never use aggressive cleaning agents or stiff brushes. Clean the scales with a

soft, damp cloth - preferably after each use. Never use abrasive cleaning agents

or alcohol. Do not allow any water to get into the unit. Do not use the unit again

until it is completely dry. Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight or high tempe-

ratures.

The weighing surface 1 can be removed from the device for easier cleaning.

Therefore carefully twist of the surface by turning it in anti-clockwise direction.

Please note, that the surface is NOT dishwasher safe! After the cleaning process,

put the surface back onto the device by turning it in clockwise direction.

Warranty and repair terms

Please contact your dealer or the service centre in case of a claim under the

warranty. If you have to return the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt and

state what the defect is.

The following warranty terms apply:

1. MEDISANAThe warranty period for products is three years from date of

purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be proven

by means of the sales receipt or invoice.

2. Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free of charge within the

warranty period.

3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the unit or

for the replacement parts.

4. The following is excluded under the warranty:

All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g. non-a.

observance of the user instructions.

All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or b.

unauthorised third parties.

Damage which has arisen during transport from the manufacturer to the c.

consumer or during transport to the service centre

Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear (batteries etc.).d.

5. Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit are

excluded even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a warranty claim.

rès que vous ayez allumé l’appareil. Insérez une pile 3V (pile bouton lithium type

CR2032). Veillez à bien respecter la polarité (pôle positif vers le haut, en direction

du couvercle).

Réglage de l’heure

Sur cet appareil, l’heure est afchée en mode 12 heures. An de régler l’heure,

maintenez la touche « TIME » 7 enfoncée pendant environ 4 secondes, jusqu’à

ce que les minutes afchées se mettent à clignoter. Réglez les minutes jusqu’au

chiffre souhaité en appuyant sur la touche « UNIT »

4, puis conrmez votre choix

en appuyant sur la touche « TIME »

7. Procédez ensuite, de la même manière,

au réglage de l’heure.

La fonction Minuterie

L’appareil dispose d’une fonction Minuterie, laquelle vous permet de paramétrer

un compte à rebours. Une fois la durée de ce compte à rebours (0000) écoulée,

une alarme sonore, d’une durée de 30 secondes, se déclenche. Il est possible

de désactiver cette alarme à n’importe quel moment, en appuyant sur n’importe

quelle touche. An de paramétrer la durée du compte à rebours, il vous suft

d’appuyer, dans un premier temps, sur la touche « TIME »

7. Les minutes af-

chées à l’écran se mettent alors à clignoter, avant que ne s’afche le message «

TMR ». Vous pouvez alors régler le nombre de minutes souhaitées en appuyant

sur la touche « UNIT» 4, avant d’appuyer à nouveau sur « TIME »

7. Le compte

à rebours peut alors commencer. An d’interrompre ce compte à rebours, il vous

suft d’appuyer sur « TIME » 7. Appuyer une nouvelle fois sur « TIME »

7 vous

permettra de reprendre le compte à rebours.

Afchage de la température

L’appareil dispose d’une fonction d’afchage de la température permettant

d’indiquer la température ambiante en °C (degrés Celsius) ou en °F (degrés Fah-

renheit). Il vous suft d’appuyer sur la touche « °C/°F »

• Vous pouvez afcher le poids en grammes (g), kilogrammes (kg), oz. ou en

lb:oz. Il vous suft d’appuyer sur la touche « UNIT »

• Après l‘écran 2 afche « 0 », placez l’objet à peser sur la surface de pesage

• Si vous souhaitez peser un objet dans un récipient, vous devez placer ce der-

nier sur la surface de pesage 1 avant d’allumer l’appareil. Vous pouvez dès

lors « retrancher » le poids du récipient en appuyant sur la touche « TARE »

3. L’écran afche alors « 0 ».

• Placez à présent l’objet à peser sur la balance. Le poids s’afche alors à l’écran

La balance dispose d’une capacité de charge maximale de 5 kg soit 11 lb:0.4 oz.

En cas de dépassement de la charge maximale, l’écran afche alors « EEEE ».

Nettoyage et entretien

Veillez à ne jamais utiliser de détergents agressifs ou de brosses à poils durs

pour nettoyer l’appareil. Nettoyez votre balance exclusivement à l’aide d’un chif-

fon doux, légèrement humide. N’utilisez en aucun cas des détergents agressifs

ou de l’alcool. L’appareil doit être protégé contre toute pénétration d’eau. Dans

le cas contraire, ne réutilisez celui-ci que lorsqu’il est à nouveau complètement

sec. N’exposez jamais votre appareil au rayonnement direct du soleil ou à des

températures élevées.

Pour faciliter le nettoyage, il est possible d’enlever le plateau de pesée

1. Enlevez

le plateau avec précaution en tournant dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une

montre. Veuillez tenir compte du fait que le plateau de pesée n’est PAS destiné à

un lavage au lave-vaisselle ! Une fois le nettoyage effectué, remettez le plateau

de pesée en tournant dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre.

Elimination

• Uniquement utiliser cet appareil conformément au but d’utilisation décrit dans

ce mode d’emploi. Tout emploi non conforme annule les droits de garantie.

• Cette balance est exclusivement destinée à un usage domestique. Elle n’est

en aucun cas destinée à un usage médical ou commercial ; elle n’a pas fait

l’objet d’un étalonnage ofciel.

• Placez la balance dans un endroit à l’abri de la chaleur et d’une humidité de

l’air extrême. Maintenez également la balance à l’abri de l’eau.

• Veillez à placer la balance sur un support ferme et plat.

• Veillez à ne jamais exposer l’appareil au rayonnement direct du soleil.

• Veillez à ne pas utiliser l’appareil à proximité d’émetteurs électromagnétiques

haute fréquence, ils pourraient perturber le fonctionnement de l’appareil.

• Cette balance dispose d’une plage de mesure allant jusqu’à 5 kg soit 11 lb:0.4

• En cas d’ingestion d’une pile, consultez immédiatement un médecin !

• Introduisez correctement la pile en faisant attention à la polarité !

• Veillez à ce que le compartiment des piles soit parfaitement fermé !

• Retirez la pile si vous n’utilisez plus l’appareil pendant 3 mois au moins !

• Conservez les piles hors de portée des enfants !

• Ne rechargez pas les piles ! Risque d’explosion !

• Ne pas les court-circuiter ! Risque d’explosion !

• Ne pas les jeter au feu ! Risque d’explosion !

• Stockez les piles que vous n’utilisez pas dans leur emballage et veillez à ce

qu’elles restent éloignées d’objets métalliques an d’éviter des courts-circuits !
