1. The shredder is only suitable for shredding of pa-

per, credit cards and CDs/ DVDs. Any other use or

modication shall be deemed to be improper and

involves substantial risk of accidents.

2. Always be sure to keep all loose objects such as e.g.

clothing, ties, jewellery and all other small objects

away from the feed slot in order to avoid injury.

3. Unplug the device if the document shredder is not

used for a longer period of time to avoid damages

and injuries.

4. Remove all paper clips and staples before inserting

the paper. Though the device is capable of shred-

ding staples, this is not recommended. This is in

order to avoid damages and injuries.

5. Always be sure to keep your ngers and hands

away from the feed slot in order to avoid serious

injury .

6. Do not put your ngers into the central hole of the

CD when you insert it into the unit. This is to avoid

serious injuries.

7. The device should be setup as close as possible to

an easily accessible wall socket to avoid the danger

of stumbling over the cable.

8. The document shredder must always be deactivat-

ed and disconnected from the electrical line prior

to moving, transporting and cleaning the device

and prior to emptying the waste basket to avoid

the danger of injuries.

9. Empty the waste basket frequently. Otherwise the

shredder may jam.

10. Please do not leave the document shredder unat-

tended e.g. in the event children or pets are near-

by. There is a risk of injury by improper handling.

11. Never open the casing to avoid serious injuries.

12. The device may not be operated with a damaged

power cord to avoid electric shock or short circuit.

13. Please read the manual before operating the ma-

chine .

14. For indoor use only.

15. This appliance is not intended for use by persons

(including children) with reduced physical, sensory

or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and

knowledge, unless they have been given supervi-

sion or instruction concerning use of the appliance

by a person responsible for their safety.

16. Keep children away of the device to hinder them

playing with it.

Remark: For optimum results and to protect the ma-

chine, we suggest the user to operate it for 2 minutes

and then rest 60 minutes.

Before using the device for the rst time. In particu-

lar, please comply with the safety notices.

SETTING UP THE DOCUMENTS SHREDDER

1. Securely mount the document shredder on a waste

basket. In the process, ensure that you do not

catch your ngers between the top edge of the

waste basket and the shredder.

2. Connect the plug to a standard 230 Volt AC socket.

Important note:

Ensure that the document shredder is properly tted

onto the basket. To make sure that CD/credit card re-

mains drop into the inner trash tray, look for the cor-

rect assembly.

STARTING THE DOCUMENT SHREDDER

Important note:

This device is designed solely for private use indoors

and for brief operation not exceeding 2 minutes. Do

not use the document shredder for commercial ap-

plications nor outdoors. Improper use poses risk of

accidents.

■ AUTO POSITION

The shredding operation starts automatically as soon

as the paper to be shredded is inserted in the feed slot.

After the shredding operation is complete, the device

will automatically deactivate.

■ REV POSITION (two functions)

1. Rectifying a paper jam. In this case, the direction of

the shredding operation is reversed before the work

cycle ends in order to free the shredding blades.

Should you determine that too much paper has

been inserted and the shredding operation slows

noticeably, immediately set the switch to this posi-

tion, also in the event paper is accidentally inserted.

2. Shredding CDs/DVDs and credit cards: Insert an

individual CD/DVD or credit card in the designated

feed slot on the shredder.

■ OFF POSITION

In order to empty the waste basket or in the event the

device is not used for a prolonged period of time, set

the switch to and OFF disconnect the device from

the electrical line in order to avoid the risk of inju-

ries.

CAPACITY OF THE DOCUMENTS SHREDDER

The appliance shreds up to 5 sheets of paper (DIN A4,

80g/pc). The paper width may comprise up to 21.8cm.

When shredding small paper sizes such as letters or

credit card receipts, please insert them into the middle

of the shredding slot.

Please ensure that never more than the above-

mentioned maximum quantity is inserted in the

shredder. Otherwise the device may sustain dam-

age.

SEPARATE SHREDDER FOR CD/DVD/CREDIT

CARD

1. Open the security door on the CD/DVD/credit card

input opening.

2. Insert the card into the top center of the CD/DVD/

credit card input opening. You can only cut up one

credit card at the time. Do this always ahead with

the broad side into the CD/DVD/ credit card in-

put opening. Otherwise, the magnetic strip is

not destroyed.

3. Given that such materials always present the

risk of splinters, please keep your face at an ac-

ceptable distance when inserting CD/DVD/credit

card. This is in order to avoid serious injuries.

4. Do not insert your nger into the central hole of

the disc when you insert it into the device, there

is danger of injury!

PROTECTION AGAINST PAPER JAMS

AND OVERLOADING

The appliance is equipped with a motor overload

guard. To protect the machine well, we suggest the

user to operate it in this way: work 2 minutes then rest

60 minutes. Under the following conditions, the cur-

rent feed to the unit’s motor is interrupted:

■ Continual operation of the document shredder with

maximum capacity for a prolonged period of time,

e.g. longer than 2 minutes without interruption.

■ Overrunning the shredding capacity e.g. adding

more than 5 sheets of paper (80g/pc) in one opera-

tion or in the event the paper is not inserted length-

wise into the feed slot.

Under the above-mentioned conditions, the automat-

ic overload protector of the motor is triggered, where-

upon the current feed to the device is interrupted. In

such a case, please take the following steps:

■ Disconnect the main plug from the AC socket in

order to avoid the risk of serious injuries and wait

at least 60 minutes until the overload protector has

reset the device. Now tear o excess paper from the

top of the shredder or remove it.

■ Reconnect the main plug to the AC socket and set

the switch to the REV position. Pull the remaining

paper away from the shredding blades. Afterwards,

set the switch back to the AUTO position. If neces-

sary, repeat this step.

■ With the switch in the AUTO position and the open

feed slot, you may now continue the normal shred-

ding process.

CLEANING

1. DANGER! Absolutely unplug the power cord be-

fore cleaning. Otherwise there is a risk of electric

shock and other injuries!

2. WARNING! The blades of the device are extreme-

ly sharp! Danger of injury!

3. Empty the collecting trays regularly. Clean the col-

lecting trays and paper cutter with a slightly damp-

ened cloth and possibly with a mild detergent.

4. Remove any residue in the cutting holes with a suit-

able object. Make sure that while cleaning the

plug is not connected with an electric socket in

order to avoid injuries.

ru, kart kredytowych oraz płyt CD/DVD. Każde inne

użycie lub modykacje powinny być uważane za

niewłaściwe i wiąże się ze znacznym ryzykiem po-

wstania wypadku.

2. Zawsze należy zachować wszystkie luźne przed-

mioty, takie jak na przykład odzież, krawaty, biżu-

terię i wszystkie inne drobne przedmioty z dala od

wejścia podajnika automatycznego w celu uniknię-

cia obrażeń.

3. Odłącz urządzenie jeśli niszczarka dokumentów nie

jest używana przez dłuższy okres czasu, aby unik-

uniknięcia poważnych obrażeń.

6. Nie wkładać palców do centralnego otworu pły-

ty CD po włożeniu jej do niszczarki. Ma to na celu

uniknięcie poważnych obrażeń.

7. Urządzenie powinno być ustawione jak najbliżej

dostępnego gniazdka elektrycznego, aby uniknąć

niebezpieczeństwa potknięcia się o kabel.

8. Niszczarka dokumentów musi być zawsze wyłączo-

na i odłączona od zasilania przed przeniesieniem,

transportem i czyszczeniem urządzenia oraz przed

opróżnieniem kosza na odpady, aby uniknąć ryzy-

11. Nigdy nie otwieraj obudowy urządzenia.

12. Urządzenie nie może być obsługiwane z uszkodzo-

nym przewodem zasilającym, aby uniknąć poraże-

nia prądem lub zwarcia.

13. Przed uruchomieniem urządzenia proszę przeczy-

tać instrukcję.

14. Do użytku tylko w pomieszczeniach.

15. To urządzenie nie jest przeznaczone do użytku

przez osoby (w tym dzieci) o ograniczonej spraw-

ności zycznej, zdolności sensorycznych lub umy-

słowych, lub braku doświadczenia i wiedzy, chyba

że będą one nadzorowane lub zostaną poinstruo-

wane na temat korzystania z tego urządzenia przez

osobę odpowiedzialną za ich bezpieczeństwo.

16. Trzymaj dzieci z dala od urządzenia, aby utrudnić

im zabawę z urządzeniem.

Uwaga: Dla uzyskania optymalnych wyników i ochro-

ny urządzenia, sugerujemy użytkownikowi obsługiwać

PRZYGOTOWANIE DOKUMENTÓW

DO NISZCZARKI

1. Bezpiecznie zamontuj niszczarkę na koszu. Uważaj,

aby nie przygnieść sobie palców między górną kra-

wędzią kosza niszczarki.

2. Podłącz wtyczkę do gniazda zasilania 230V AC.

Ważne: Upewnić się, że niszczarka dokumentów jest

prawidłowo zamontowana na koszu. Tylko wtedy znisz-

czone płyty CD/karty kredytowe będą spadały do kosza.

URUCHOMIENIE Niszczarka dokumentów

Ważna uwaga:

To urządzenie jest przeznaczone wyłącznie do prywat-

nego użytku w pomieszczeniach i krótką pracą nie prze-

kraczającą 2 minut. Nie używaj niszczarki dokumentów

do zastosowań komercyjnych, ani na zewnątrz. Nie-

właściwe użytkowanie stwarza ryzyko wypadków.

■ Pozycja AUTO

Operacja rozdrabniania uruchamia się automatycznie,

jak tylko papieru przeznaczonego do rozdrobnienia

jest włożony do wejścia podajnika automatycznego.

Po zakończeniu operacji rozdrabniania, urządzenie au-

tomatycznie dezaktywuje się.

■ Pozycja (dwie funkcje) REV

1. Usunięcie zacięcia papieru. W tym przypadku kie-

runek pracy rozdrabniania jest odwrócony przed

zakończeniem cyklu pracy w celu uwolnienia resz-

tek z przestrzeni między tarczami tnącymi. Jeśli

stwierdzimy, że zbyt dużo papieru zostało włożone,

a operacja rozdrabniania zauważalnie zwolniło - na-

tychmiast ustawić przełącznik w tej pozycji, także w

gdy dokument został przypadkowo włożony.

2. Rozdrabnianie płyt CD/DVD i kart kredytowych:

Włóż pojedynczo płytę CD/DVD lub kartę kredyto-

wą w wyznaczonym do tego wejściu.
