1.Install your Interface Card

Ensure the card isinstalled perthe

manufacturer's instructions.

Connecttheinternal IDEorSATApower

connectoron the cardto the computer

power supply.

Alternatively, use yourPC's built-in host

controller, if equipped.

Openthe Windows Device Manager. Ensure the card isproperlyinstalledunder

Network Adapters.An exclamationpoint (!)next to the card indicatesthe

driverhas notyetbeeninstalled.

2.Install the FlyCapture®Software

Note: Forexistingusers whoalready have FlyCaptureinstalled,we

recommend ensuring you have the latest version for optimal performance

ofyourcamera. Ifyou do not need to installFlyCapture, usethe

DriverControlGUIto installand enable driversforyourcard.

a.Login to our downloads page.

b.Select yourandfromthe drop-down listsandCameraOperating System

click thebutton.Search

c.Click on theSoftware search results to expand the list.

d.Click the appropriate link to beginthe downloadand installation.

Afterthe download is complete, theFlyCapture setup wizard begins.Ifthe

wizard does notstartautomatically, double-clickthe .exe file to openit. Follow

the steps in each setupdialog.

3. Enable the Drivers for the card

Duringinstallation, you areprompted to selectyourinterface driver.

In theInterface DriverSelection dialog, selecttheI will use GigEcameras.

This selection ensuresthe ImageFilterdriverisinstalled andenabled.

Note: GigEVision camerason Linuxsystemsuse nativeUbuntu drivers.

To uninstallorreconfigure the driverat anytime aftersetup is complete, use the

DriverControlGUI.

4. Configure IPSettings

Afterinstallationis complete, theGigEConfiguratoropens. This toolallowsyou

toconfiguretheIPsettings ofthecamera andnetworkcard.

Ifthe GigEConfiguratordoesnotopen automatically, openthetool from Start

Menu>FlyCapture SDK>Utilities>GigEConfigurator. If promptedtoenable

GigEenumeration, select.Yes

a.Inthe, select the LocalAreaConnection corresponding totheleft pane

networkinterface card (NIC) to which the cameraisconnected.

b.Inthe, review maximum transmission unit (MTU). Ifnot9000,right pane

enablejumbo framesonthe NIC by clickingOpenNetwork Connections.

(While mostNICs support9000-byte jumbo frames,thisfeaturemay be

disabledby default.)
