DRIVER INSTALLATION

Windows 2000 / XP / Vista / 7 / 8.x / 10 / 11 / Server 20xx

After the hardware installation is completed, the operating system automatically detects the EX-

46028 and shows you a new . Now insert the driver CD into your CDROM „“Serial PCIPort--

drive (e.g. drive D:) and update the driver for the "Serial PCIPort" in the Device Manager. For -

this purpose, please select the correct driver, which can be found in the following folder

„“SERIAL&PARALLEL/XR17V35X(485)/XR17V358_8S_16S.Now select the folder of your

operating system and install the driver (see picture). Follow the installation instructions and

complete the installation. Restart your PC after the installation.Important!

CHECK INSTALLED DRIVER

HARDWAREINSTALLATION

Please note the following installation instructions. Because there are large differences between the

PC’s, we can give you only a general installation instructions for the EX46028. Please refer your -

computer’s reference manual whenever in doubt.

1.Turn off the power to your computer and any other connected peripherals.

2.Remove the mounting screws located at the rear and/or sides panels of your Computer and

gently slide the cover off.

3.Locate an available PCIExpress expansion slot and insert the card. Make sure that the card -

is plugged in correctly.

4.Then attach the card with a screw to the rear panel of the computer.

5.Gently replace your computer’s cover and the mounting screws.

6.Finally, connect the included octopus cable to the 68pin VHDCI connector of the EX--46028.

DRIVER INSTALLATION

Linux

After the hardware installation is completed, the operating system automatically recognizes the

EX--46028. Now insert the driver CD into your CDROM drive (e.g. drive D:) and open the folder

„“SERIAL&PARALLEL/XR17V35X(485)/XR17V358_8S_16S. The drivers for your Linux

system are located in the folder (see picture). Restart your PC after the „“ LinuxImportant!

installation.

Die EX46028 ist eine seriell RS232 PCIExpress Karte. Sie ist mit acht seriellen FIFO 16C550 ---

Anschlüsse für den Anschluss von HighSpeed seriellen RS232 Peripherie Geräten (z.B. --

Modem, Plotter, Drucker, Scanner usw.) ausgestattet. Diese werden mittels eines Oktopus

Kabels zur Verfügung gestellt, welches an die 68Pin VHDCI Buchse der EX46028 ange---

schlossen wird. Die EX46028 unterstützt alle PCIExpress Slots von x1 bis x16. Der serielle --

PCIExpress Bus unterstützt optimal die Leistung des schnellen Exar Chipsatz. Die Karte -

gewährleistet so eine sichere Datenübertragung und exzellente Performance von bis zu 115K-

Baud/s für jedes angeschlossene serielle Gerät! Es ist nicht möglich die I/O Adressen und

Interrupts manuell einzustellen, da die Einstellungen der Karte vom System (BIOS) und beim

installieren des Betriebssystems automatisch vorgenommen werden.
