INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use
only. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only.
Standard dryers are designed to operate at
110 volts AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature,
this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one
way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat
this safety feature.
IMPORTANT
1875 WATT OPERATING GUIDE
Use of any 1875 watt dryer on the same circuit
or fuse with other electrical products or appli-
ances may trip a 15 amp circuit breaker or blow
a 15 amp fuse.
NEVER replace the fuse with one rated
higher than the capacity of the circuit. Doing
so could result in an electrical fire.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY TIME
YOU USE APPLIANCE
This appliance is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety
feature that renders it inoperable under some
abnormal conditions, such as immersion in
water. To make sure the ALCI is functioning
properly, perform the following test. The pur-
pose of this test is to allow you to make sure
the water sensing system (ALCI) is working.
1. Plug in the appliance and press test button
on plug.
2. The appliance will stop working. There will
be an audible click and reset button will pop
out. This indicates the ALCI is functioning
properly.
3. To reset ALCI, unit should be unplugged.
Then push reset button in, and reinsert plug
into outlet.

4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return
appliance to nearest service center.
5. It is important that if immersion occurs, this
unit be brought to a service center. Do not try
to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use the
unit to confirm ALCI is operational. Should the
appliance go off and the reset button pop up
during use, this could indicate a malfunction
in the unit.
Remove plug from outlet and allow the appli-
ance to cool. Reinsert plug into outlet. The
appliance should function normally. If not, return
it to a Conair Service Center for examination and
repair.

SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good haircut that’s
well maintained. Always treat your hair well
with superior-quality shampoos, conditioners,
and finishing products.
BRUSH/COMB ATTACHMENT
STYLING BASICS AND INSTRUCTIONS
Shampoo and condition hair with products of
your choice. Gently towel-dry hair to remove
excess moisture. Part hair into sections. Follow
the instructions to achieve your desired style.
NOTE: To prevent overdrying, reduce setting to
LOW when hair is almost dry.
FOR STRAIGHTENING OR RELAXING
Select the boar-bristle brush attachment and
set dryer on HIGH speed. Hold dryer securely
in one hand and use brush to firmly grasp a
section of hair at roots. Roll hair around brush
with one turn of your wrist, then pull downward.
Continue process until hair is dry. Repeat the
above with each hair section.
DUAL-ROW STRAIGHTENING COMB
Attach to dryer and select HIGH speed. Slowly drag
attachment down hair strand to smooth away frizz
and straighten hair. The slower you pass dryer
through the strand, the straighter the results.
FOR EXTRA VOLUME AND DETANGLING
Select the wide-tooth comb attachment and set
dryer on LOW speed. Hold dryer securely in one
hand and use a natural combing action to fluff
hair, beginning at the roots. Move from section
to section until hair is dry.
FOR CREATING FULLNESS
Select the boar-bristle brush attachment and
set dryer on HIGH speed. Starting at the nape of
the neck, lift hair up and away from the scalp
with the brush, then rotate the brush downward
to the ends. Move from section to section until
hair is dry.
FOR TOUSLED, NATURAL-LOOKING WAVES
These are easily created by using the diffuser
attachment. Hold dryer securely in one hand
and rest sections of hair into the diffuser push-
ing up toward roots. Finish with the cool shot to
set your look.

MAINTENANCE
Your dryer is virtually maintenance free. No
lubrication is needed. For proper operating per-
formance, the dryer must be kept clean. When
cleaning is needed, unplug the cord, allow
dryer to cool and clean dust and lint from air
intake openings with a small brush or the brush
attachment of a vacuum cleaner. The outer
surface of the dryer should be wiped clean with
a cloth only.
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will
cause the dryer to overheat. If overheating
occurs, an automatic safety device will shut
the dryer or the heat off to prevent damage or
personal injury. If the unit or the heat cycles off,
unplug the cord and allow the dryer to cool for
10 to 15 minutes before restarting. Make sure
the air vents are clean.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power-supply cord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap
the cord tightly around the dryer. Damage will
occur at the high flex point of entry into the
dryer, causing it to rupture and short circuit.
Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop
use immediately if damage is visible or unit
stops or operates intermittently.
If the cord or dryer is damaged or does not
operate properly, return it for repair to an
authorized Conair service representative only.
No repairs should be attempted by the consumer.
STORAGE – Important
When not in use, your dryer should be discon-
nected, allowed to cool and stored in a safe, dry
location, out of reach of children. Do not wrap
line cord around dryer. Allow the cord to hang
or lie loose and straight at the point of entry into
the dryer.

antes de cada uso para comprobar que el

1. Enchufe el aparato y apriete el botón de

2. El aparato dejará de funcionar. Escuchará
un “clic” y el botón de reinicio saltará; esto
significa que el interruptor de control de
potencia está funcionando correctamente.
3. Para reajustar el interruptor de control de
potencia, desenchufe el aparato.

PARA ALISAR EL CABELLO/SUAVIZAR LAS
ONDAS
Instale el cepillo de cerdas de jabalí sobre el
secador y elija el ajuste de calor/velocidad alto
(“HIGH”). Sosteniendo firmemente el secador
en una mano, agarre una sección de cabello al
nivel de la raíz con el cepillo. Enrolle el cabello
alrededor del cepillo con un giro de la muñeca,
y luego jale hacia abajo. Repita el proceso hasta
que el cabello esté seco. Repita el proceso en
cada sección.
PEINE ALISADOR CON DOS FILAS DE DIENTES
Instale el sobre el secador y elija el ajuste de
calor/velocidad alto (“HIGH”). Alise el cabello
lentamente, desde la raíz hasta las puntas.

Su electricista le puede ayudar a decidir cuál
sistema escoger – un sistema removible que
se conecta a la toma de corriente o un sistema

(GFCI, por sus siglas en inglés) es un dispositivo
sensible que reacciona inmediatamente a una
pequeña pérdida de corriente, deteniendo el
flujo de electricidad.
INSTRUCCIONES
DE MANTENIMIENTO
Este secador requiere poco mantenimiento.
No requiere lubricación. Para que funcione
correctamente, debe mantenerlo limpio. Cuando
sea necesario limpiar el secador, desenchúfelo,
permita que se enfríe y quite el polvo y las
pelusas de los orificios de ventilación con un
cepillo pequeño o el cepillo accesorio de una
aspiradora. La superficie exterior del secador
solo se debe limpiar con un paño limpio.
El secador se recalentará si los orificios
de ventilación están obstruidos o tapados.
Si esto sucede, un sistema de seguridad
apagará el secador o cortará la temperatura
automáticamente para evitar daños al aparato
o lesiones personales. En caso de que est

PRECAUCIÓN
NUNCA jale, retuerza ni doble mucho el cable.
