Thismanual applies totheED80Sf occasionallyandED100Sftelescopes.Youmay find descriptions in
the thetextnotrelevanttoyour particular model.Read instructionsforyourmountalongwiththis
manual if youpurchased package.the telescope as a complete

Do not use the product in a wet environment and do not handle with wet hands.
HANDLING AND STORAGE
Do not leave the product inside a car in bright sunshine or in other hot places.Keep
any heatstrong sourcesawayfromtheproduct.
When cleaning, do not use solvents such as paint thinner or similar products.
Do not expose the product to rain, water, dirt or sand.
Avoid touching any lens or mirror surfaces directly with your hands.In case a lens or
mirrorbecomesdirtywithfingerprints wipeorgeneralsmears,gently it using a
commercially aavailablelenscleanerand lenscleaningpaperorcloth,orconsultyour
localVixen dealer.
Blow off dust on lenses using a commercially available blower brush.Do not use
compressedair.
For storage, keep the product in a dry place and do not expose to direct sunlight.
SETTING UP THE TELESCOPE- Refer to your mount instructions along with this manual.

longerextendedintotheinnerpartofthedovetail
block.
Slidethedovetailmountedscope dovetailintothe
mountingblockasshowninthefigure.Tightenthe
dovetaillockscrew notch)(centeredonthe onto
thedovetailtubeplateuntilsnug.

ALIGNING THE FINDER SCOPE – Besure finderto thealign scopebeforeyoubegin
observing.
(1) and Choose a conspicuoustargetinthedistance placethe target in
the the thecenterof the of of field view telescope.(In illustration, a
distanttower is brought into the center of the field of view of the
telescope.)

same target somewhere view.withinthefinder’sfieldof (The

(3) Alignthe theopticalaxis(fieldof ofview) finderscopewiththe
opticalaxis(field scopeof of theview) thetelescope.Adjust finder
byloosening Figureor thetightening adjustmentscrews A andB(In
#4 until is in inAbove) the target thesameposition, thecenterof
the the the the thecrosshairs.(In illustration, topof towerisin
centerofthecrosshairs.)
