About this appliance

The Tristar FO-1110 is a fondue pan of 1.5 L. It comes equipped with 8 fondue forks.

Intended use

This appliance is intended for indoor use only.

This appliance is intended exclusively for domestic, non-commercial use.

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;

- farm houses;

- by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments;

- bed and breakfast type environments.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they

have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person

responsible for their safety.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been

given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they

understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by

children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord

out of reach of children aged less than 8 years. Appliances can be used by persons with

reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if

they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe

NOTICE

accessories or accessories recommended by

Tristar.

• Never place the appliance near the edge of a

during use which may cause the appliance to

move. Always place the appliance on a stable, flat,

heat, and moisture resistant surface.

BEFORE FIRST USE

• Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or

plastic from the device.

• Caution: Keep any packaging materials well away from children – such materials are a

potential source of danger, e.g. of suffocation.

• Before using the appliance for the first time or after long pauses, wipe off all removable

parts with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive products.

• Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 20 cm. free space

around the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside

use.

• Ensure the fondue pot is correctly placed onto the hotplate.

• Put the power cable into the socket.

• When the device is turned on for the first time, a slight odor will occur. This is normal,

ensure adequate ventilation. This fragrance is only temporary and will disappear soon.

• We advise to place a heat resistant coating between your table and the appliance (this

way you don't get burn marks on your table or table cloth).

USE

• Place the appliance on a stable, flat, heat and moisture resistant surface with sufficient

free space around the appliance:

• Fill the pan with cheese, chocolate, vegetable oil or broth, but do not put too much in it.

• Fill the appliance between the MIN 0.6litre and the MAX 1.5litre.

• Place the fondue pot onto the hotplate and plug in the appliance.

Cheese fondue

• Turn the temperature control knob A

to Max and put the Cheese into the pot. Stir

continuously while the Cheese is melting.

• Once the Cheese has melted, the temperature control knob can be turned back to

40-60% to keep the Cheese warm.

Chocolate fondue

• Turn the temperature control knob A

to Max and put the Chocolate into the pot. Stir

continuously while the Chocolate is melting.

• Once the Chocolate has melted, the temperature control knob can be turned back to

20-40% to keep the Chocolate warm.

Vegetable oil or broth

• Turn the temperature control knob A

5

clockwise to the highest setting and allow the

device to heat up for at least 20 minutes without food.

• When using oil, the cooking time is approximately 1.5 to 3 minutes and approximately 3

to 4 minutes when using broth.

Hints on use with oil.

• Do not cover the pot with a lid during preheating. This is to prevent the oil and the fork

holder from over-heating.

• Only use pure vegetable oil. The oil must be suitable for high temperatures, neutral in

taste and must not smoke or spill. Animal oil or fats are therefore not suitable.

• Only use the same oil 3 or 4 times. Stale oil smells bad, foams and becomes viscous.

• Do not add fresh oli to stale oil. Always change the oil completely.

• Do not mix different kinds of oil.

• Chop the meat. Only use small pieces of meat.

• Frozen food should the thawed before it is cooked.

• Thoroughly dry the food stuffs to be cooked to avoid that the oil foams over.

• Keep the oil in a closed container and in a cool place.

Use the hot plate as a pancake / crêpe maker

clockwise to the highest setting and allow the

device to heat up for at least 5 minutes without food.

• Put your prepared pancake batter on the hot plate.

• Bake for about 6-12 minutes or until golden brown, adjusting the time to suit your own

taste. Flip the pancake halfway through baking.

• Remove the pancake with a wooden or plastic spatula. Never use metal tongs or a

knife, as these can cause damage to the non-stick coating.

When cooking is finished pull out the plug. Warning! The pot and the hot plate are still hot.

Cleaning and maintenance

• Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for the appliance to cool down.

• For reasons of electrical safety, the hotplate and power cord should not be treated with

liquids and should never be immersed.

• Do not pour fondue residue in a sink. The cold residue may be discarded with the

domestic refuse.

• The stainless steel pot can be cleaned in hot soapy water or in the dishwasher. Any

residues may be removed with a soft brush after the pot has been steeped in water.

• Clean the fondue ring and the forks in warm soapy water.

• Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners,

scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the appliance.

• Allow all parts to dry completely or dry them with a towel.

Storage

• Always unplug the device before storage.

• Make sure the appliance is cooled down completely before storing the appliance.

BESCHRIJVING APPARAAT

Over dit apparaat

De Tristar FO-1110 is een fonduepan van 1,5 L. Hij is uitgerust met 8 fonduevorkjes.

Beoogd gebruik

Dit apparaat is uitsluitend bedoeld voor gebruik binnenshuis.

Dit apparaat is uitsluitend bedoeld voor huishoudelijk, niet-commercieel gebruik.

Dit apparaat is bedoeld om gebruikt te worden in huishoudelijke en soortgelijke

toepassingen zoals:

- personeelskeukenbereiken in winkels, kantoren en andere werkomgevingen;

- boerderijen;

- door klanten in hotels, motels en andere types residentiële omgevingen;

- omgevingen van het type bed and breakfast

Dit apparaat is niet bedoeld voor gebruik door personen ( waaronder kinderen) met

verminderde lichamelijke, zintuiglijke of geestelijke vermogens, of gebrek aan ervaring

en kennis, tenzij zij onder toezicht staan of instructies hebben gekregen betreffende het

gebruik van het apparaat van een persoon die verantwoordelijk is voor hun veiligheid.

WAARSCHUWING

Veiligheidsgevaar door onbedoeld gebruik:

• Gebruik het apparaat alleen zoals beschreven in

deze gebruiksaanwijzing.

• Door de veiligheidsinstructies te negeren, kan de

fabrikant niet verantwoordelijk worden gehouden

voor de schade.

• Breng nooit aanpassingen aan het apparaat aan.

Afstellingen kunnen de veiligheid, garantie en

goede werking beïnvloeden.

• Gebruik geen mechanische apparaten of andere

middelen om het ontdooiproces te versnellen,

anders dan die aanbevolen door de fabrikant.

• Het apparaat is niet bedoeld om bediend te

worden met behulp van een externe timer of een

afzonderlijk afstandbedieningssysteem.

• Bewaar geen explosieve stoffen zoals spuitbussen

met een ontvlambaar drijfgas in dit apparaat.

• De temperatuur van toegankelijke oppervlakken

kan hoog zijn wanneer het apparaat in werking is.

Gevaar voor elektrische schokken door kortsluiting:

• Gebruik het apparaat nooit als er zichtbare

tekenen van schade of gebreken zijn aan het

apparaat of de netsnoer. Vervang een beschadigd

of defect apparaat of netsnoer altijd onmiddellijk of

neem contact op met de klantenservice.

• Zorg er altijd voor dat er niet op de stroomkabel

gemorst wordt.

• Dompel het snoer, de stekker of het apparaat niet

onder in water of andere vloeistoffen om

elektrische schokken te voorkomen.

• Maak het apparaat nooit open. Het apparaat mag

alleen door een erkende technicus geopend

worden voor onderhoud.

• Vervang nooit zelf de voedingskabel. Laat de

voedingskabel altijd vervangen door de fabrikant,

diens service-agent of een even gekwalificeerde

persoon.

• Til het apparaat nooit op aan de voedingskabel.

Als je het apparaat aan de voedingskabel optilt,

kun je de voedingskabel beschadigen. Til het

apparaat alleen op door de voet vast te houden.

• Haal de elektriciteitskabel altijd uit het stopcontact

wanneer het apparaat niet in gebruik of onder

toezicht is, en voordat u het reinigt.

• Controleer altijd vóór het gebruik of de spanning

vermeld op het typeplaatje van uw apparaat

overeenkomt met uw netspanning.

• Als de voedingskabel beschadigd is, moet deze

worden vervangen door de fabrikant, diens

servicedienst of gelijkwaardig gekwalificeerd

personeel om gevaren te voorkomen.

• Verplaats het apparaat nooit door aan het snoer te

trekken en zorg ervoor dat het snoer niet verstrikt

raakt.

Brandgevaar door oververhitting:

• Zet het apparaat altijd op een stabiele, vlakke,

hitte- en vochtbestendige ondergrond. Laat het

apparaat nooit onbeheerd achter als het in gebruik

is. Gebruik het apparaat alleen onder toezicht. Zet

het apparaat uit en haal de voedingskabel uit het

stopcontact als je de kamer verlaat.

• Gebruik het apparaat nooit met een

programmeerapparaat, timer, aparte

afstandsbediening of een ander toestel dat het

apparaat automatisch inschakelt.

• Plaats het apparaat nooit direct onder een

stopcontact. Het apparaat kan tijdens het gebruik

heet worden. Houd de achterkant van het

apparaat altijd vrij van voorwerpen.

• Zet het apparaat nooit in de buurt van een

warmtebron neer.

Gevaar voor elektrische schokken door kortsluiting:

• Laat het apparaat nooit vallen en vermijd stoten.

Overmatige trillingen kunnen leiden tot losgeraakte

verbindingen en kunnen de goede werking van het

apparaat beïnvloeden. Gebruik het apparaat niet

meer als het gevallen is.

• Sluit nooit een ander apparaat met hoog

stroomverbruik op dezelfde groep aan.

Verstikkingsgevaar door de plastic verpakking:

• Laat kinderen nooit met het verpakkingsmateriaal

spelen. Houd het verpakkingsmateriaal altijd

buiten het bereik van kinderen.

• Kinderen moeten onder toezicht staan om ervoor

te zorgen dat ze niet met het apparaat spelen.

VOORZICHTIG

Verbrandingsgevaar door hitte:

• Het apparaat niet plaatsen op of in de buurt van

een hete gas- of elektrische brander, of een

verwarmde oven.

Struikelgevaar door losse kabels:

• Laat het netsnoer nooit zo hangen dat iemand

erover kan struikelen of er per ongeluk aan kan

trekken.

OPMERKING

Gevaar voor beschadiging van het apparaat:

• Het apparaat moet op een stabiele, vlakke

ondergrond worden geplaatst.

• Gebruik bij het schoonmaken van het apparaat

nooit agressieve chemische schoonmaakmiddelen

die het apparaat kunnen beschadigen.

• Gebruik het apparaat alleen met de bijgeleverde

accessoires of de door Tristar aanbevolen

accessoires.

• Zet het apparaat tijdens gebruik nooit bij de rand

van een aanrecht. Tijdens het gebruik kunnen

trillingen optreden, waardoor het apparaat kan

verschuiven. Zet het apparaat altijd op een stabie-

le, vlakke, hitte- en vochtbestendige ondergrond.

VOOR HET EERSTE GEBRUIK

• Haal het apparaat en de accessoires uit de doos. Verwijder de stickers, beschermende

folie of plastic van het apparaat.

• Let op: Houd verpakkingsmateriaal uit de buurt van kinderen - dit materiaal kan gevaar

opleveren, bijvoorbeeld door verstikking.

• Veeg alle verwijderbare onderdelen af met een vochtige doek voordat je het apparaat

voor het eerst gebruikt of na een lange periode ongebruikt. Gebruik nooit schurende

producten.

• Plaats het apparaat op een vlakke stabiele ondergrond en zorg voor minimaal 20 cm

vrije ruimte rondom het apparaat. Dit apparaat is niet geschikt voor inbouw in een kast

of voor buitengebruik.

• Zorg ervoor dat de fonduepan goed op de kookplaat staat.

• Steek de stroomkabel in het stopcontact.

• Wanneer het apparaat voor het eerst wordt ingeschakeld, kan er een lichte geur

ontstaan. Dit is normaal, zorg voor voldoende ventilatie. Deze geur is slechts tijdelijk en

zal snel verdwijnen.

• We raden aan om een hittebestendige coating tussen je tafel en het apparaat te leggen

(zo krijg je geen brandplekken op je tafel of tafelkleed).

GEBRUIK

• Zet het apparaat op een stabiele, vlakke, hitte- en vochtbestendige ondergrond met

voldoende vrije ruimte rond het apparaat:

• Vul de pan met kaas, chocolade, plantaardige olie of bouillon, maar doe er niet te veel

in.

• Vul het apparaat tot tussen de MIN 0.6liter en de MAX 1.5liter.

• Plaats de fonduepan op de kookplaat en steek de stekker in het stopcontact.

Kaasfondue

• Draai de temperatuurregelknop A

naar Max en doe de Kaas in de pan. Roer

voortdurend terwijl de Kaas smelt.

• Zodra de Kaas gesmolten is, kan de temperatuurregelknop teruggedraaid worden naar

40-60% om de Kaas warm te houden.
