TheTPS6209xdevicesareafamilyofhighfrequency

synchronousstepdownconvertersoptimizedfor

smallsolutionsize,highefficiencyandsuitablefor

batterypoweredapplications.Tomaximizeefficiency,

theconvertersoperateinpulsewidthmodulation

(PWM)modewithanominalswitchingfrequencyof

2.8MHz/1.4MHzandautomaticallyenterpowersave

modeoperationatlightloadcurrents.Whenusedin

distributedpowersuppliesandpointofload

regulation,thedevicesallowvoltagetrackingtoother

voltagerailsandtolerateoutputcapacitorsranging

from10µFupto150µFandbeyond.Usingthe

DCS-Control™topologythedevicesachieve

excellentloadtransientperformanceandaccurate

outputvoltageregulation.

Theoutputvoltagestart-uprampiscontrolledbythe

softstartpin,whichallowsoperationaseitherastand-

alonepowersupplyorintrackingconfigurations.

Powersequencingisalsopossiblebyconfiguringthe

enableandpowergoodpins.Inpowersavemode,

thedevicesoperateattypically20µAquiescent

current.Powersavemodeisenteredautomatically

andseamlesslymaintaininghighefficiencyoverthe

entireloadcurrentrange.
