TheTPS6208xdevicesareafamilyofhighfrequency

synchronousstepdownconverters.Withaninput

voltagerangeof2.3Vto6V,commonbattery

technologiesaresupported.Alternatively,thedevice

canbeusedforlowvoltagesystempowerrails.

TheTPS6208xfocusesonhighefficiencystep-down

conversionoverawideoutputcurrentrange.At

mediumtoheavyloads,theconverteroperatesin

PWMmodeandautomaticallyentersPowerSave

Modeoperationatlightloadcurrentstomaintainhigh

efficiencyovertheentireloadcurrentrange.To

maintainhighefficiencyatverylowloadornoload

currents,aSnoozeModewithanultra-lowquiescent

currentisimplemented.Thisfunction,enabledbythe

MODEpin,increasestherun-timeofbatterydriven

applicationsandkeepsthestandbycurrentatits

lowestleveltomeetgreenenergystandardstargeting

alowstand-bycurrent.

Toaddresstherequirementsofsystempowerrails,

theinternalloopcompensationallowsalarge

selectionofexternaloutputcapacitorvaluesin

excessof100µF.WithitsDCS-Control™

architecture,excellentloadtransientperformanceand

outputvoltageregulationaccuracyisachieved.The
