TheADS7887deviceisa10-bit,1.25-MSPS,analog-

to-digitalconverter(ADC),andtheADS7888device

isa8-bit,1.25-MSPSADC.Thesedevicesincludea

capacitor-basedSARA/Dconverterwithinherent

sampleandhold.Theserialinterfaceineachdevice

iscontrolledbytheCSandSCLKsignalsforglueless

connectionswithmicroprocessorsandDSPs.The

inputsignalissampledwiththefallingedgeofCS,

andSCLKisusedforconversionandserialdata

output.

Thedevicesoperatefromawidesupplyrangefrom

2.35Vto5.25V.Thelowpowerconsumptionofthe

devicesmakethemsuitableforbattery-powered

applications.Thedevicesalsoincludeapower-

saving,power-downfeatureforwhenthedevicesare

operatedatlowerconversionspeeds.
