TheADS7138isaneasy-to-use,8-channel,
multiplexed,12-bit,successiveapproximationregister
analog-to-digitalconverter(SARADC).Theeight
channelscanbeindependentlyconfiguredaseither
analoginputs,digitalinputs,ordigitaloutputs.The
devicehasaninternaloscillatorforADCconversion
processes.
TheADS7138communicatesviaanI

C-compatible
interfaceandoperatesineitherautonomousor
single-shotconversionmode.TheADS7138
implementsanalogwatchdogfunctionbyevent-
triggeredinterruptsperchannelusingadigital
windowcomparatorwithprogrammablehighandlow
thresholds,hysteresis,andaneventcounter.The
ADS7138hasabuilt-incyclicredundancycheck
(CRC)fordataread/writeoperationsandthepower-
upconfiguration.
