aufmerksam durch, bevor sie mit der Installation beginnen.
Grundsätzliche Einbauhinweise
ISuchen Sie sich einen Platz aus, wo Hochtöner und Tiefmitteltöner dicht beieinander liegen.
IStellen Sie sicher, das der Platz des Hochtöners so wenig wie möglich verdeckt ist.
IDie Auflagefläche für den Tieftöner muss absolut eben sein, damit eine abgedichtete Montage
gewährleistet ist.
IAchten Sie auf Hindernisse hinter dem Einbauort, wie z.B. Fensterheber, Kabel, Schläuche oder Tanks.
IBenutzen Sie hochwertiges Lautsprecherkabel mit einem Mindestquerschnitt von 1,5 mm2zum
Anschließen an den Verstärker oder das Radio.
IBevor Sie die Frequenzweiche fest montieren, stellen Sie die richtige Hochtonlautstärke mittels des
Schalters auf der Frequenzweichen-Platine ein.
IDer Lautsprecher benötigt einige Stunden zum Einspielen bis er wie vorgesehen klingt.
IDie Hochpass-Frequenz sollte bei 120-200Hz fĂĽr das SP-S24C, 80-120Hz fĂĽr das SP-S25C und 70-90Hz
fĂĽr das SP-S26C sein.
Installation des Hochtöners
Suchen Sie als erstes einen guten und passenden Einbauort. Bohren Sie ein 40mm Loch an der Stelle,
wo der Hochtöner platziert werden soll. Achten Sie darauf, das hinter der Einbaufläche nichts zu
Schaden kommt. Das Hochtönergehäuse hat eine Einbautiefe von 16mm. Setzen Sie das Gehäuse in
das neu gesägte Loch. Der Hochtöner wird nun von hinten in das Gehäuse geführt und mit der
Boden platte durch drehen im Uhrzeigersinn verriegelt. DrĂĽcken sie den Konterring von hinten ĂĽber
das Gehäuse und fixieren Sie so das Gehäuse am Einbauort.
Installation des Tieftöners
Der EURO-DIN Korb erlaubt eine problemlose Montage in nahezu jedem Europäischen oder Asiatischen
Fahrzeug. Die Auflagefläche für den Lautsprecher muss absolut eben sein, um eine dichte Montage zu
gewährleisten oder gar eine Verformung des Korbes zu vermeiden!
Falls Sie die mitgelieferte Lautsprecherabdeckung verwenden wollen, trennen Sie zunächst das Gitter
vom Lautsprecherring. Setzen Sie erst den Lautsprecher auf den Ring und dann diese in die Einbauöff-
nung ein. Schrauben Sie nun den Lautsprecher samt Ring fest und drĂĽcken Sie dann das Gitter wieder
auf den Ring.
Installation der Frequenzweiche
Die Frequenzweiche kann ĂĽberall im inneren des Fahrzeuges verbaut werden. Achten Sie allerdings
darauf, das keine elektrischen Leitungen, Elektromotoren oder Steuergeräte in der Nähe sind. Auch
sollte der Einbauort trocken, sauber und nicht zu heiĂź sein.
Überprüfen Sie genau die Polarität der Anschlüsse: (+) muss auf (+) und (-) muss auf (-). Eine falsche
Polarität zieht eine schlechte Bass- sowie ein schlechte Mittenwiedergabe nach sich.
Je nach Einbaubedingungen kann allerdings eine Verpolung beider Hochtöner einen ausgewogeneren
Klang ergeben.
Hochtonpegelanpassung
Ein Schalter auf der Frequenzweiche erlaubt die Lautstärkeanpassung des Hochtöners an den Tieftöner.
Da der Abstand zwischen Hoch- und Tieftöner, sowie dem Abstand von Hörplatz zum Hochtöner von
Fahrzeug zu Fahrzeug variiert, probieren Sie unbedingt alle drei Varianten bevor Sie die Montage der
Weiche abschlieĂźen.
Garantie Einschränkungen
Nicht unter Garantie fallen Schäden infolge von:
1. nicht-autorisierter bzw. nicht vom autorisierten Händler/Installateur geprüftem Selbst-Einbau oder
inkorrekten Audio- oder StromanschlĂĽssen.
2. schädlichen Einwirkungen von übermässiger Feuchtigkeit, Flüssigkeiten, Hitze, Sonneneinstrahlung
oder übermässiger Verschmutzung.
3. mechanischer Beschädigung durch Unfall, Fall oder Stoss; Schäden durch nicht autorisierte
Reparaturversuche oder nicht durch den Hersteller ausdrĂĽcklich autorisierte Modifikationen.
Die Garantie dieses Produkts bleibt in jedem Fall auf die Reparatur bzw. den Ersatz (Entscheidung beim Her-
steller) des jeweiligen SPECTRON Produkts beschränkt. Schäden durch unsachgemässe Verpackung und
daraus resultierende Transportschäden werden nicht durch diese Garantie gedeckt. Jeder über diese Ga-
rantie-Erklärung hinausgehende Anspruch und jede Haftung für direkte oder indirekte Folgeschäden wer-
den ausdrĂĽcklich abgelehnt.

Thank you for purchasing this SPECTRON loudspeaker system. Please read and study this manual care-
fully before attempting the installation of your new SPECTRON component system!
General Mounting and Installation Hints
IChoose a location where the woofer and the tweeter can be mounted close to each other.
IMake sure the tweeters are mounted in a place where they are obstructed as little as possible.
IThe position where the mid/woofer will be mounted must be level in order to provide a tight seal.
ICheck behind the chosen mounting locations to make sure that there are no obstructions in the way,
e.g. window tracks, electrical wiring, gas tank etc.
IUse high-quality speaker cable with a cross-section of at least 1,5 mm2 to connect the crossover unit
to the power amplifier or to the head-unit.
IBefore mounting the crossover, check out the different tweeter attenuation levels by setting the
jumper on the crossovers printed circuit board.
IYour component system needs some time to “break in”. Especially the mid/woofer speaker units will
need some hours before the optimum sound quality is achieved.
IThe high-pass crossover frequency should preferably be set in between 120 to 200Hz for the
SP-S24C, 70 to 110 Hz for the SP-S25C and 60 to 90 Hz for the SP-S26C respectively.
Installing the Tweeter
First of all, find a good location where to install the tweeters. Cut the mounting hole, the exact cutout
diameter is 40 mm. Check the clearance behind the surface, before you start to cut the hole!
The assembled surface mount tweeter unit needs approx. 16 mm installation depth/clearance, to be
mounted properly. Insert the main surface housing adapter into the cutout, insert the tweeter into the
housing and lock the bottom plate by turning it clockwise. Then push the counter ring over the tweeter
housing to fix the housing on the mounting material.
Installing the Mid/Woofer
The EURO-DIN frame woofers allow easy replacement of the factory installed speaker systems. Their
frame/bolt hole configuration is made to match perfectly with European and Asian cars factory speaker
cut-outs.
For best bass performance, the mid/woofers must be mounted on a solid background, providing an
airtight and perfect fit.
If you intend to use the speaker grilles provided, remove the metal grille. Then mount the mid/woofer
on top of the plastic ring, finally pushing the metal mesh grille top back in place.
Mounting the Crossover
The crossover can be mounted in any location inside the vehicle. Stay away from places that could lead
to excessive exposure to dirt, moisture or heat.
Double check the connection of all the speaker wires! They must be connected in-phase, that is positive
(+) is connected to positive (+), and negative (-) is connected to negative (-). If one of the speakers is
connected with reversed polarity (out of phase) to the crossover, the result could be low bass output
or/and a dislocated soundstage. However, it is advisable to reversely connect both main tweeter wires
to the crossover unit and check the sonic result by a short listening test. Depending on the distance of
mid/woofer to tweeter the overall sound quality and the soundstage might benefit from reversed
polarity connection of both tweeter units.
Tweeter Level Attenuation
A slide switch allows for three tweeter attenuation levels! The slide switch is located on the printed
circuit board of the crossover unit. The tweeter attenuation slide switch should be used, to fine tune the
treble balance of your component system, since the intensity of the high frequency reproduction
depends strongly on the tweeter mounting location.
It is highly recommended to listen to all three attenuation options, to obtain the most pleasing treble
balance in your car.
Warranty Limitations
This warranty does not cover any damage due to:
1. Unauthorized or unapproved installation, incorrect audio or mains connection(s).
2. Exposure to excessive humidity, fluids, sun rays or excessive dirt or dust.
3. Accidents or abuse, unauthorized repair attempts and modifications not explicitly authorized
by the manufacturer.
This warranty is limited to the repair or the replacement of the defective product at the manufacturer’s option
and does not include any other form of damage, whether incidental, consequential or otherwise. The
warranty does not cover any transport costs or damages caused by transport or shipment of the product.
