(PlayStation®Portable) system.

Use and handling

• Your camera has the capability to record digital content. The use of

such content may be restricted or prohibited by rights of third parties,

including but not limited to restriction under applicable copyright laws.

You, and not Sony Computer Entertainment, are responsible for the

content that is recorded with your camera.

• Do not use with products other than the PSP™ system.

• Do not allow small particles to get into the product.

• Do not expose the product to dust, smoke or steam.

• Do not expose this product to high temperatures, high humidity or direct

sunlight.

• Do not allow this product to come into contact with liquids.

• Do not place any objects on this product.

• Never disassemble or modify this product.

• Do not throw or drop this product or subject it to strong physical shock.

• Do not use solvents, other chemicals or a chemically-treated dust cloth to

clean this product.

• Fingerprints, oil or other substances on the lens may cause the camera to

lose focus. If the lens becomes dirty, wipe it clean with a soft cloth.

• Do not use excessive force on the connector, as doing so may cause the

connector to bend or cause damage to the internal part of the connector.

• The camera may not be recognized if the USB connector on the PSP™

system is dirty. In that case, wipe the USB connector with a soft, dry

cloth.

LIMITED WARRANTY

For customers in the USA and Canada

Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. (SCEA) warrants to the

original purchaser that this product shall be free from defects in material

and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase.

This warranty does not apply to any consumables (such as batteries). For

defects in material or workmanship within the warranty period, upon

showing a proof of purchase, SCEA agrees for a period of one (1) year

to either repair or replace this product with a new or factory recertified

product at SCEA’s option. For the purpose of this Limited Warranty,

“factory recertified” means a product that has been returned to its original

345-7669 to receive a return authorization and shipping instructions.

This warranty shall not be applicable and shall be void if the defect in the

SCEA product has arisen through abuse, unreasonable use, mistreatment,

Connecting the camera to the PSP™ system

Insert the camera into the USB connector on the system top, and then turn

the mounting screw to secure the camera to the system (Figure ).

Basic operations

To use this product, the PSP™ system software must be version 6.00 or

later.

Operating methods vary depending on the software in use. For details, refer

to the instructions for the software in use or the online user’s guide for the

PSP™ system.

• While recording, the camera’s recording indicator (Figure ) will be 

either lit or blinking.

• Use macro mode to record subjects that are approximately 6 – 7 cm

(2.4 – 2.8 in) away from the camera. Switch to macro mode by turning

the macro mode selector to (Figure ).

• You can change the direction the camera faces by turning the portion that

holds the lens up and down (Figure ).

• To ensure proper audio recording, do not allow dust or foreign objects to

accumulate around the microphone (Figure ).

• You can use the microphone feature of this product with software that

supports voice recording. For details, refer to the instructions supplied

with the software.

Connexion de l’appareil au système PSP™

Insérez l’appareil dans le connecteur USB situé sur le dessus du système,

puis tournez la vis de fixation pour attacher l’appareil au système (Figure

).

Fonctionnement de base

Pour pouvoir utiliser ce produit, vous devez posséder la version 6.00 (ou

une version ulterieure) du logiciel systeme PSP™.

Les méthodes de fonctionnement dépendent du logiciel utilisé. Pour plus

de détails, consultez les instructions accompagnant ce dernier ou le mode

d’emploi en ligne du système PSP™.

• Lors de l’enregistrement, le voyant d’enregistrement (Figure ) sera 

allumé ou clignotera.

• Utilisez le mode macro pour enregistrer des sujets situés

approximativement à 6 - 7 cm (2,4 - 2,8 p) de l’appareil. Passez au mode

macro en positionnant le sélecteur de mode macro sur (Figure ).

• Vous pouvez changer l’orientation de l’appareil en tournant vers le haut

ou vers le bas la portion qui comprend l’objectif (Figure ).

• Pour s’assurer d’un enregistrement audio convenable, ne laissez pas de

poussière ou autres corps étrangers s’accumuler autour du micro (Figure

).

• Vous pouvez utiliser la fonction micro de ce produit avec un logiciel

compatible avec la fonction de reconnaissance vocale. Pour plus

d’informations, reportez-vous aux instructions fournies avec le logiciel.
