with the 600V CAT III measurement category and Category
2 contamination requirements. Before using this measuring
instrument, please read this instruction manual and observe
therelevant safetyprecautions. CAT III: Measurements inside
buildings or plants. For example, xed equipment, distribution
panel,cabling,busbars,switches,surgeprotectiondistribution
box, etc. CAT II: Measurements on circuits that are directly
connectedtolowvoltagecircuits.Forexample,measurements
on household appliances, portable devices and similar
equipment.CATI:Measurementsonelectriccircuitsthatarenot
directlyconnectedtomains.

Maintenance
Donotattempttoremovetheclampmeter’soutercasing.Before
opening thebatterycompartmentlid, always unplugtheprobe
cablesfrom the circuit and theclamp meter. The removal of
theclampmeter’scaseaswellasitscalibration,maintenance
andservicingshouldonlybeperformed byaspecialistwhois
completelyfamiliarwiththeoperationoftheclampmeterandthe
shockhazardinvolved.Ifnotplanningtousetheclampmeterfor
anextendedperiodoftime,pleaseremovethebatteryandavoid
storingtheunitinexcessivelywarmorhumidenvironments.Do
not use any abrasives or solventson thedevice. Onlyuse a
dampclothormilddetergentforcleaningtheunit.
During Use
•If the unit isused near strongelectromagnetic interference,
please note that the measuring instrument’s operation can
becomeunstableoritmayindicatemalfunction.
•Neverexceedthesafetylimitsspeciedintheinstructionsfor
eachmeasurementrange.
•Neverusetheunitwithoutitsrearpanelfullyattached.
•Removefromcircuitanddischargethehighvoltagecapacitors
beforemeasuringresistanceorinterruption.
•Beverycarefulwhenworkingwithbarecablesorbusbars.
•If any irregular operation is detected on the clamp meter,
immediatelyswitchitoffandhaveitserviced.
•If the value to be measured is unknown, check the highest
possiblemeasurementrangeonthemultimeter,orwhenever
possible,selecttheautomaticmeasurementrangemode.
•Beforeturningtheselectordial,disconnecttheprobecablefrom
themeasurementcircuit.
•Never perform resistance or interruption measurements on
energizedcircuits.
•When performing measurements onTV sets or circuits with
highAC,alwaysrememberthattheremightbehighamplitude
voltageonthetestpoints,whichcandamagethemultimeter.
•Ifthevoltagetobetestedexceedstheeffectivevalueof60V
DCor30VAC,workcarefullyinordertoavoidsustainingan
electricshock.
•Ifthebatterysymbolappearsonthedisplay,thebatterymust
be replaced immediately. Low battery voltage may result in
measurementerrors,electricshock,oreveninjury.
•Keepyourngersawayfromtheconnectingsockets.
•Donotusetheclampmeterinthepresenceofammablegas,
vapoursordust.
•Before each use, check the unit in order to ensure proper
operation(e.g.,usingaknownvoltagesource).
•WhenmeasuringCATIIIvoltage,thevoltagemaynotexceed
600V.
General description
ThisAC/DCclampmeterfeaturesa4digit,7-segmentdisplay.
It can be used to measure direct current, alternating current,
DC voltage, AC voltage, resistance, frequency, capacity, duty
factor, diodes, and interruption. The minimum and maximum
measuredreadingcanbesaved.Capableofperformingrelative
measurements,hasbackgroundillumination,andautomatically
ormanuallyswitchesmeasurementranges.Thereadingcanbe
savedonthedisplay.Switchesoffautomatically.
