Warranty - Keep your cash receipt!

The drinking fountain has a 2 year guarantee from the date of purchase. Your cash receipt serves as proof of purchase. The guarantee is limited to any

defect arising due to faulty materials or manufacture (with the exception of the pump which has a 1 year warranty). This warranty is not valid for

products that have been installed incorrectly or used improperly. We are not responsible for accidental damage or negligence.

Please return faulty products to your dealer or supplier for repair or replacement.

De drinkfontein heeft een garantie van 2 jaar vanaf de aankoopdatum. Uw kassabon dient hiervoor als bewijs. Deze garantie dekt verkeerd vakman-

schap en defecten als gevolg van een productiefout (met uitzondering van de pomp die slechts 1 jaar garantie heeft). Deze garantie geldt niet voor

producten die naar onze mening niet naar behoren werden geïnstalleerd of gebruikt. Er kan geen aansprakelijkheid worden aanvaard voor eventuele

defecten die zijn veroorzaakt door accidentele schade of nalatigheid. Gelieve defecte producten terug te bezorgen aan uw dealer of leverancier voor

reparatie of vervanging.

La fontaine d’eau a une garantie de 2 ans à partir de la date d’achat. Votre ticket d’achat sert de preuve. La garantie couvre le mauvais fonctionne-

ment et les défauts à cause de mauvaises fabrication (avec une exception pour la pompe qui a une garantie d’un an). Cette garantie n’est pas valable

pour les produits qui sont, à notre opinion, mal installés ou mal utilisés. Nous ne sommes pas responsables pour des défauts suite à un dommage

accidentel ou une néglicence. Veuillez retourner les produits défectueux au magasin ou au fournisseur pour réparation ou remplacement.

54 Safety instructions

• Ensure that the voltage of the adapter corresponds with the

electrical power supply of your home.

• In order to avoid electrical shocks, ALWAYS unplug the power

supply before disassembling or cleaning the fountain. Also

the plug must not be connected during the assembly of the

fountain.

• Never let the pump run dry. Always ensure that there is

enough water in the fountain. The water level may never

be below the MIN level (see picture 12A). Fill the reservoir

rst with water up to the MAX level before connecting

the pump to the power supply.

• Use the pump only for the Cascade drinking fountain. This

pump is not suitable for other applications.

• Regularly check the product’s performance. If you notice any

irregularities disconnect the fountain.

• Use the fountain only indoors.

• The Cascade is only suitable for cats and small dogs - do not

use the fountain for other purposes.

• Make sure that the fountain can not be damaged or be chewed.

• The fountain is not suitable for use by children.

Adjusting ow rate

• Disconnect the pump from the power supply.

• Lift up the Cascade’s water tower and take the pump out of the

water tank.

• Adjust the ow rate with the small lever (A).

• Replace the pump and the tower and rubber and reconnect

the fountain.

Maintenance

Monitor regularly if the water level is above the MIN level in the

water tank. If not, ll the fountain immediately with

water up to the MAX level. Clean your fountain weekly. Before

dismantling the fountain, always disconnect the plug from the

power supply rst. Clean the fountain (except the pump and the

lter) with a soft sponge and mild detergent or wash them in the

dishwasher.

We advise you to replace the lter every month if 1 pet uses the

fountain. When used by 2 or more pets, we recommend you

to replace the lter more regularly in order to avoid a possible

blockage. A blocked lter will cause the pump not to work

properly or fail prematurely.

Clean the impeller if the pump appears dirty or stops working

properly. First disconnect the pump from the power supply. Open

the pump, remove the cap and take the impeller out of the pump

(B). Remove the dirt from the impeller and clean the impeller

carefully with a cotton swab. To prevent lime scale, follow the

same procedure and place the impeller in a mixture of 50 % warm

water and 50 % vinegar. Also ll the impeller’s chamber with this

mixture. After 2-3 hours, rub o the lime scale from the impeller

and chamber with a cotton swab. Rinse all the parts thoroughly

and reassemble.

Troubleshooting

1) The pump does not pump water or gurgles.

• When using for the rst time or after cleaning, wait a few

minutes for any trapped air to be dispersed.

• Make sure that the water reaches the Max level and that lter

cartridge does not need to be renewed.

• The pump needs maintenance, see the chapter on

Maintenance.

• The pump is damaged and needs to be replaced.

2) My cat or dog does not want to drink out of the

fountain.

Although running water attracts most pets, some pets may need

to get used to their new drinking area. It is important that you

encourage your pet to drink out of the fountain. Remove other

drinking areas and disconnect the fountain. Your pet will get used

to your fountain within the next few days. Reconnect

the fountain and observe the drinking behaviour of

your pet for the rst few days to make sure it drinks

enough liquid to avoid dehydration.

3) The fountain is noisier than usual.

• Check if both rubber pieces that keep the electrical cord in

place, are correctly attached.

• Check if the water tower is installed correctly.

• Check if the top part/source is connected correctly to the tower

Veiligheidsinstructies

• Verzeker u ervan dat de voltage van de adapter overeenstemt

met het elektrische systeem bij u thuis.

• Haal ALTIJD eerst de stekker uit het stopcontact voordat u de

fontein demonteert of reinigt. Ook bij de montage van het

product mag de stekker niet in het stopcontact zitten. Dit om

elektrische schokken te voorkomen.

• Laat de pomp niet drooglopen. Zorg ervoor dat er altijd

voldoende water in de fontein aanwezig is. Het waterniveau

mag nooit onder het MIN niveau uitkomen (zie foto 12A).

Vul het reservoir eerst met water tot aan het MAX niveau,

voordat u de pomp op de stroomvoorziening aansluit.

• Gebruik de pomp enkel voor de Cascade fontein. De pomp is

niet geschikt voor andere toepassingen.

• Controleer regelmatig de werking van het product. Schakel de

fontein uit wanneer u onregelmatigheden opmerkt.

• Dit product is enkel geschikt voor gebruik binnenshuis.

• De Cascade drinkfontein is uitsluitend geschikt voor katten en

kleine honden, gebruik de fontein niet voor andere doeleinden.

Zorg ervoor dat uw dier de voedingskabel niet kan stukbijten

of beschadigen.

• De fontein is niet geschikt voor gebruik door kinderen.

Aanpassen van debiet

• Haal de stekker van de pomp uit het stopcontact.

• Til de toren van de Cascade drinkfontein op en neem de pomp

uit het waterreservoir.

• Pas het debiet aan met de schuifregelaar (A).

• Plaats de pomp en de toren terug en schakel het apparaat

opnieuw in.

Onderhoud

Controleer regelmatig of het waterniveau boven het MIN streepje

in het waterreservoir uitkomt. Indien dit niet het geval is, vul de

fontein dan onmiddellijk tot het MAX streepje aan met water.

Maak uw drinkfontein wekelijks schoon. Haal de stekker altijd

eerst uit het stopcontact voordat u het product demonteert.

Reinig de onderdelen (behalve de pomp en de lter) met een

zachte spons en een mild schoonmaakmiddel of was ze in de

vaatwasmachine.

Wanneer de fontein door één dier wordt gebruikt, is het raadzaam

om de lter maandelijks te vervangen. Wanneer meerdere dieren

gebruik maken van de fontein, is het aanbevolen om de lter

vaker te vervangen om eventuele verstopping te voorkomen.

Een verstopte lter veroorzaakt een slechte werking en voortijdig

stoppen van de pomp.

Indien u merkt dat de pomp vuil lijkt of slecht werkt, reinig

dan de impeller. Haal wel eerst de stekker van de pomp uit het

stopcontact. Open de pomp, haal het deksel van de impeller

en neem de impeller uit de pomp (B). Verwijder vervolgens de

aanslag en maak het onderdeel voorzichtig schoon met een

wattenstaae. Om kalkaanslag aan de pomp te verwijderen,

volgt u dezelfde stappen (zie foto) en plaatst u de impeller in een

mengsel van 50% warm water en 50 % azijn. Vul de tunnel van

de impeller ook met het mengsel. Laat 2 tot 3 uur inwerken en

wrijf daarna de restjes kalk van de impeller en de tunnel af met

een wattenstaae. Spoel de onderdelen goed af en zet alles weer

in elkaar.

Problemen en oplossingen

1) Pomp pompt niet of maakt borrelende geluiden

• Bij het eerste gebruik of na iedere schoonmaakbeurt moet

u enkele minuten wachten voordat de luchtbellen uit de

pomp zijn verdwenen.

• Zorg dat het waterniveau tot aan het MAX niveau reikt en

dat de lterhouder niet aan vervanging toe is.

• Pomp vraagt om onderhoud, zie hoofdstuk Onderhoud.

• Pomp is stuk en moet vervangen worden.
