Maxview is the super size display for exceptionally easy reading.This scale features our convenient
step-on operation. Once initialised the scale can be operated by simply stepping straight on the
platform – no more waiting!
NEW FEATURES!
Step 1: Batteries
Insert the 4 x AAA batteries supplied into the battery compartment, ensuring the + and - terminals
are correctly orientated.
Step 2: Carpet Feet
For use on carpet attach enclosed carpet feet.
Step 3: Set Time
1. Check scale is off.
2. Press and hold SET button until hour flashes on display.Adjust hour using â–²and â–¼buttons
(note clock is 24 hour). Press SET button to confirm.
3. Minutes flash.Adjust minutes using â–²and â–¼buttons. Press SET button to confirm.
Step 4: Set Weight Mode
1. Press the platform centre and remove your foot.The time is displayed.
2. Press the platform centre and remove your foot. Zero is displayed.
3. Press SET button until kg, lb or st is displayed.
4. Wait for scale to switch off.
PREPARING YOUR SCALE
1. Press the platform centre and remove your foot.The time is displayed.

This initialisation process must be repeated if the scale is moved. At all other times step
straight on the scale.
INITIALISINGYOUR SCALE
1. Step on and stand with your feet over the display.
2. When you hear a beep, step off.
3. Your weight is displayed.
4. Zero is displayed, then the time.
5. Scale switches off.
Tip:To display the time when the scale is off press the platform centre and remove your foot.
OPERATING YOUR SCALE
• Always weigh yourself on the same scale placed on the same floor surface.
Do not compare weight readings from one scale to another as some differences will exist due
to manufacturing tolerances.
• Placing your scale on a hard, even floor will ensure the greatest accuracy and repeatability.
• Weigh yourself at the same time each day, before meals and without footwear.
First thing in the morning is a good time.
• Your scale rounds up or down to the nearest increment. If you weigh yourself twice and get
two different readings, your weight lies between the two.
• Clean your scale with a damp cloth. Do not use chemical cleaning agents.
• Do not allow your scale to become saturated with water as this can damage the electronics.
• Treat your scale with care - it is a precision instrument. Do not drop it or jump on it.
ADVICE FOR USE AND CARE
If you experience any difficulty in the use of your scale:
• Check the battery is correctly fitted.
• Check that you have selected your preference of stones/pounds, kilograms or pounds.
• Check that the scale is on a flat, level floor and not touching against a wall.
• Repeat the ‘Initialisation’ procedure every time the scale is moved.
• If when you use the scale there is no display at all or if ‘LO’ is displayed - try a new battery.
• If ‘O-Ld’ is displayed the scale has been overloaded.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
GUARANTEE - This product is intended for domestic use only. Salter will repair or replace the
product, or any part of this product, (excluding batteries) free of charge if within 15 years of the date
of purchase, it can be shown to have failed through defective workmanship or materials.This guarantee
covers working parts that affect the function of the scale. It does not cover cosmetic deterioration
caused by fair wear and tear or damage caused by accident or misuse. Opening or taking apart the
scale or its components will void the guarantee. Claims under guarantee must be supported by proof
of purchase and be returned carriage paid to Salter (or local Salter appointed agent if outside the UK).
Care should be taken in packing the scale so that it is not damaged while in transit.This undertaking is

Maxview est l'écran surdimensionné pour un affichage ultrafacile à lire. Ce pèse-personne est très
simple d'emploi. Une fois le pèse-personne initialisé, il suffit de se placer debout sur le
plateau – plus d'attente !
NOUVELLES CARACTERISTIQUES !
Etape 1: Piles
Insérer les quatre piles AAA fournies dans le compartiment à piles et vérifier qu'elles sont bien
orientées selon leur polarité + et
Etape 2: Pieds pour moquette
Pour poser le pèse-personne sur de la moquette, fixer les pieds pour moquette fournis.
Etape 3: Réglage de l'heure
1. Vérifier que le pèse-personne est éteint.
2. Appuyer sur le bouton SET (réglage) et le maintenir appuyé jusqu’à ce que l'affichage des heures
clignote. Régler l’année à l’aide des boutons ▲et ▼. (format 24 h). Appuyer de nouveau sur le
bouton SET pour confirmer le réglage.
3. L'affichage des minutes clignote. Régler les minutes à l’aide des boutons ▲et ▼.Appuyer sur le
bouton SET pour confirmer le réglage.

PREPARATION DU PESE-PERSONNE
1. Appuyer sur le centre du plateau avec le pied et le retirer. L'heure s'affiche.

Celui-ci devra être réinitialisé s'il est déplacé. Dans tous les autres cas, il suffit de
monter dessus.
INITIALISATION DU PESE-PERSONNE
1. Monter sur le pèse-personne et placer les pieds sur l'écran.
2. Descendre une fois qu'un bip a retenti.
3. Le poids s’affiche.
4. Zéro s'affiche, puis l'heure apparaît.
5. Le pèse-personne s'éteint.
Conseil : pour afficher l'heure lorsque le pèse-personne est éteint, appuyer sur le centre du plateau
avec le pied et le retirer.
UTILISATION DU PESE-PERSONNE
• Toujours se peser sur le même pèse-personne et sur le même type de sol. Ne pas comparer les
mesures d'un pèse-personne à l'autre, car les différences de tolérance de fabrication peuvent
entraîner des écarts.
• Positionner le pèse-personne sur une surface plane et dure pour garantir des mesures précises
et fiables.
• Se peser chaque jour à la même heure, avant les repas et sans chaussures. L’idéal est de se peser
au lever.
• Le pèse-personne arrondit le résultat au nombre inférieur ou supérieur le plus proche. En cas de deux
pesées donnant deux mesures différentes, le poids est situé entre les deux.
• Nettoyer le pèse-personne avec un chiffon humide. Ne pas utiliser de détergents chimiques.
• Eviter de mettre le pèse-personne en contact avec de l’eau sous peine d’endommager les
composants électroniques.
• En prendre soin – c’est un instrument de précision. • Ne pas le laisser tomber et ne pas sauter dessus.
CONSEILS D’UTILISATION ET D’ENTRETIEN
En cas de difficultés pendant l'utilisation du pèse-personne :
• Vérifier que la pile est correctement insérée.
• Vérifier que l'unité de mesure (st, lb ou kg) a été correctement sélectionnée.
• Vérifier que le pèse-personne est placé sur une surface plane et ne touche aucun mur.
• Répéter la procédure de mise en route à chaque fois qu'il est déplacé.
• Si aucune mesure ne s’affiche ou si LO est affiché – remplacer les piles.
• Si O-Ld s’affiche, la capacité maximale a été dépassée.
GUIDE DE DEPANNAGE
Ce produit est uniquement destiné à un usage domestique. Salter s’engage à réparer ou remplacer
gratuitement le produit, ou toute pièce de ce produit, (à l’exclusion des piles) dans les 15 ans suivant
la date d’achat s’il est prouvé que la défaillance provient d’une mauvaise qualité de fabrication ou de
matériaux défectueux. Cette garantie couvre les parties mobiles qui affectent le fonctionnement de
l’appareil. Elle ne couvre pas toute détérioration esthétique provoquée par l’usure normale ou tout
dommage provoqué par accident ou une mauvaise utilisation. Le fait d’ouvrir ou de démonter
l’appareil ou ses composants annulera la garantie. Les retours sous garantie doivent être accompagnés
du justificatif d’achat et expédiés en port payé à Salter (ou à un agent Salter agréé local, si en dehors
du R.-U.) Il est conseillé de bien emballer l’appareil afin de ne pas l’endommager durant le transport.
