ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

1. SHUT OFF THE MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY AT FUSE BOX/ CIRCUIT BREAKER.

2. Remove all parts from carton. Do not throw away any parts.

3. Remove the lower portion of the shade (O) and metal ring (M) from the upper portion of shade (K) by removing clips (L). Set lower

shade (O), metal ring (M) and clips (L) aside.

4. Remove quick link (G) from hang straight (F). Keep quick link (G) attached to chain (H).

5. Remove cross bar (A) (with threaded tube (C) and hang straight (F) attached) from canopy (D). Do this by unthreading collar (E)

from hang straight (F). Canopy (D) will slip over hang straight (F). Set the canopy (D) and collar (E) aside.

6. Affi x cross bar (A) (with threaded tube (C) and hang straight (F) attached) to ceiling outlet box using screws (B) provided.

7. Measure desired drop for fi xture to hang and add/remove chain links (H) with chain break tool (not included).

8. Thread loop (J) onto shade housing (K). NOTE: Make sure wiring is pulled tight when threading parts together to prevent damage

to the wire.

9. Attach quick link (I) to loop (J).

10. Slip collar (E) over chain (H) so it rests on loop (J). Slip canopy (D) over chain (H) so it also rests on loop (J).

11. Lift fi xture to ceiling and secure quick link (G) to hang straight (F). Guide the wire exiting the fi xture through the center of collar

(E) and canopy (D). Continue to guide the wire through chain (H), quick link (G) and through the center of hang straight (F) and

threaded tube (C).

12. Make proper electrical connections described in steps 13 - 15. A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN IS RECOMMENDED.

13. Attach ground wire from fi xture (green or silver in color) to ground wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (P)

and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.

14. Attach hot wire from fi xture (black in color or smooth side of wire) to hot wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire

nut (P) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.

15. Attach neutral wire from fi xture (white in color or ribbed side of wire) to neutral wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with

wire nut (P) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.

16. Carefully push wire connections back into ceiling outlet box.

17. Slide canopy (D) up chain (H) and hold fl ush against ceiling. To secure position of canopy (D), slide collar (E) up the chain and

thread it onto hang straight (F). Turn until hand tight.

18. Install one 100W max Type A, medium base bulb into the socket located inside upper portion of shade (K).

19. Before attaching the shade to the fi xture, note the stickers located at every notch (N) on shade. Notice the stickers on upper portion

of shade (K) and on clips (L). Shade notches must be aligned with corresponding sticker on upper shade. Stickers on clips must

correspond to the upper and lower shade stickers. For example, the upper shade sticker labeled with a number 1 will line up with

the notch that is labeled with a number 1 sticker. The clip labeled with a number 1 sticker will then be used to fasten the two

together. Note: misaligning the stickers or using a clip that does not match may result in an incorrect fi t which could cause the

shade to fall.

20. Place metal ring (M) on top of shade (O).

21. Lift lower shade (O), with metal ring (M) in place, to upper shade (K). Secure lower shade (O) to upper shade (K) by attaching the

bottom of clip (L) under the lip of lower shade (O) at notch (N). Push clip (L) into place over the rim of upper shade (K). Repeat

for remaining clips (L).

22. Reconnect main electrical supply from the fuse box/ circuit breaker and test the fi xture.

* If any special control devices are used with this fi xture, follow the instructions carefully to assure full compliance with N.E.C.

requirements. If there are any questions, contact a qualifi ed electrical contractor.

* This fi xture is U.L. rated for dry locations.
