10 VAuto and AirCurve 10 S are bilevel positive airway pressure devices.

Indications for use
AirCurve 10 VAuto
The AirCurve 10 VAuto device is indicated for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) in
patients weighing more than 30 kg or more than 13 kg in CPAP and S modes. It is intended for
home and hospital use.
The humidifier is intended for single patient use in the home environment and re-use in a
hospital/institutional environment.
AirCurve 10 S
The AirCurve 10 S device is indicated for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) in
patients weighing more than 13 kg. It is intended for home and hospital use.
The humidifier is intended for single patient use in the home environment and re-use in a
hospital/institutional environment.
Clinical benefits
The clinical benefit of CPAP and bilevel therapy is a reduction in apnoeas, hypopnoeas and
sleepiness, as well as improved quality of life.
The clinical benefit of humidification is the reduction of positive airway pressure related side effects.
Contraindications
Positive airway pressure therapy may be contraindicated in some patients with the following pre-
existing conditions:
• severe bullous lung disease
• pneumothorax or pneumomediastinum
• pathologically low blood pressure, particularly if associated with intravascular volume depletion
• dehydration
• cerebrospinal fluid leak, recent cranial surgery, or trauma.
