This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its
lifecycle could harm the environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted
municipal waste; it should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device should
be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service. Respect the local environmental

2. Safety Instructions
• This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above, and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge
if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in
a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the
device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
• Risk of electroshock when opening the cover. Touching live wires can cause life-
threatening electroshocks. Do not disassemble or open the housing yourself. Have
the device repaired by qualified personnel.
• Do not disassemble or open the cover. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the
device. Refer to an authorized dealer for service and/or spare parts.
• Caution: possibly hazardous optical radiation emitted from this product. Do not look
at operating lamp. Eye injury may result.
• Caution: device heats up during use.
• Where the mains plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the
disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
• If the external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it shall be replaced
by a special cord or cord exclusively available from the manufacturer or his service
agent.
• The light source contained in this luminaire is not replaceable.
• Respect a minimum distance of 1 m between the device’s light output and any
illuminated surface.
• This device is not suitable for ordinary lighting in household room illumination.
• Do not use the luminaire with a cracked or broken protective glass. Have it
repaired by a qualified technician.
