REGISTER YOUR MELLERWARE WARRANTY
Thank you for purchasing a Mellerware product. Mellerware guarantees
that your product has been thoroughly inspected and tested before being
dispatched and is free from mechanical or electrical defects and complies
with the applicable safety standards. With every Mellerware product
purchased you will receive up to a 3 year warranty as detailed in the terms
and conditions below.
FIRST YEAR – 1 YEAR RETAIL WARRANTY
Should defects due to faulty parts or workmanship develop, under normal
domestic use, within 12 months from the original date of purchase please
return the product to the store from where it was purchased for a refund
or replacement at the discretion of the brand. Mellerware appliances are
intended for domestic use only and not for industrial or professional use.
The Warranty, if the product is used outside of domestic use or used in a
commercial environment, is reduced to 3 months with no extended war-
ranty available, all other terms and conditions applicable.
SECOND YEAR – OPTIONAL 1 YEAR ADDITIONAL EXTENDED
ONLINE WARRANTY REGISTRATION
Mellerware takes pride in its product quality and therefore offer an
extended 12 month warranty over and above the 1 Year Retail Warranty.
Should defects due to faulty material or workmanship develop, under normal
domestic use, after the initial 12 month period and within 24 months from
the original date of purchase, please return the product to Mellerware for
repair. Mellerware will assess and repair the product free of charge should
it be found to be a valid warranty claim and will return it to you directly.
Mellerware will replace a product with a similar product in the same or
better condition, if the repair cannot be conducted for whatever reason.
Should the product fall outside of the warranty, Mellerware will produce a
repair and delivery quotation for your approval.

Should you experience any technical difculties you are welcome to

consultants will gladly assist with the online warranty registration. Should
you not register the product within the 12 months of purchase, you will
automatically forfeit this extended warranty.
THIRD YEAR – OPTIONAL 1 YEAR ADDITIONAL EXTENDED
COMMUNICATION OPT IN WARRANTY
Mellerware takes pride in its product quality and therefore offer an addi-
tional 12 month warranty over and above the 1 Year Retail and 1 year
online registration warranty. Should defects due to faulty material or
workmanship develop, under normal domestic use, after the initial 12 month
period, the extended online registration 12 month period and within 36
months from the original date of purchase, please return the product to
Mellerware for repair. Mellerware will assess and repair the product free of
charge should it be found to be a valid warranty claim and will return it to
you directly. Mellerware will replace a product with a similar product in the
same or better condition, if the repair cannot be conducted for whatever
reason. Should the product fall outside of the warranty, Mellerware will
produce a repair and delivery quotation for your approval.

consultants will gladly assist with the online warranty registration and
opt-in email communication. Should you wish to qualify for the additional
third year extended warranty, you would need to have registered your
warranty within the rst 12 months from date of purchase and subscribed
to receive brand communication. The extended warranty is conditional
upon these requirements. Please note that you are however free to opt
out at any stage in accordance with the POPI act, this will however result
in you forfeiting this additional extended “communication opt in” warranty
from the recorded opt-out date.
Before returning your product, check the following:
•Your household mains supply socket is in good condition, working and
switched on.
• The mains supply circuit is not overloaded (white trip switch on your
DB board is off).
•You have read the trouble shooting guide in your Instructions for Use.
•All accessories and parts are present.
The following conditions apply:
1. Please ensure you retain your original receipt as this must be
presented when making a claim under the terms of the warranty.
It is impossible to determine the warranty period without proof of
purchase, so please keep this in a safe place. (NB. Your original receipt
can be scanned onto the Mellerware website [www.mellerware.co.za]
or Creative Housewares (Pty) Ltd [www.creativehousewares.co.za]
for safe storage.)
2. If a refund or exchange is required the product must be complete
with all accessories, parts and packaging. Missing parts will render the
warranty void. Any refund or exchange remains at the brands discre-
tion beyond the implied warranty granted by the CPA.
3. Upon receipt of your appliance, check it for any transport damage to
ensure it is safe for use. Return it to the store as soon as possible for
exchange if damaged. The warranty is void if products are damaged
after use, so please do not use a damaged product.
4. Any alteration made to the appliance purchased will void the warranty.
5. Your product is designed for normal domestic household use. Failure
to read and comply with the instructions for use, cleaning and
maintenance will render your warranty void, so please read these
instructions carefully to ensure your safety, and to get the most effec-
tive use from the product (e.g. not removing limescale; water deposits;
insect infestation, and/or burnt products).
6. Any abuse, negligent, improper or accidental use or care will render
the warranty void and Creative Housewares (Pty) Ltd will not be
liable for any loss or damage.
7. Any attempted repair, or replacement of unauthorised parts will ren-
der the warranty void, so please contact an authorised service centre
or service agent for any service or repair requirements.
8. NB: The warranty on replaced products will be from the original date
of purchase and not from when the date replacement was made.
9. All repairs carry a 3 month warranty even if this falls outside of the
warranty period.
10. Mellerware will attempt to conduct repairs within reasonable time,
this in line with industry standards but cannot be held responsible or
liable for any circumstances not under the brand’s control.
11. This warranty does not apply to glass components, lters, consum-
ables, and other parts subject to fair wear and tear.
Repairs out of the warranty period:
If service or repair becomes necessary outside the warranty period, this
service is still available however all transport/postage, spares and labour
costs will be for the customers’ account. All chargeable repairs will require
the customers’ written acceptance of the quote. Once the go-ahead has
been received Mellerware will undertake to conduct the repair within a
reasonable time and maintain the condition of the product as received. All
repairs carry a warranty of 3 months from the date of the repair.

waarskuwings en instruksies wat in hierdie instruksiehandleiding
bespreek word, kan nie alle moontlike toestande en situasies dek wat
mag voorkom terwyl dit in die produk gebruik word nie. Dit moet deur

2.1. Gebruik of werksomgewing.
2.1.1. Hou die werkarea skoon en goed belig. Deurmekaar of swak
beligte areas kan tot ongelukke lei.
2.1.2. Maak seker dat die toestel in ‘n goed geventileerde ruimte
gebruik word.
2.1.3. Moenie die toestel op warm oppervlaktes, soos kookplate,
gasbranders of oonde plaas nie.
2.1.4. Hou kinders en omstanders op ‘n veilige afstand terwyl die toestel
in gebruik is.
2.1.5. Plaas die toestel op ‘n horisontale, plat en stabiele oppervlak wat
hoë temperature kan weerstaan. Maak seker dit is weg van hittebronne
en waterkontak.
2.1.6. Hou die toestel weg van vlambare materiale soos tekstiele,
gordyne, karton of papier.
2.1.7. Moet nooit vlambare materiaal naby die toestel plaas nie.
2.1.8. Moenie die verwarmer koppel aan toestelle wat dit outomaties
aanskakel nie, soos termiese beheertoestelle of tydskakelaars.
2.1.9. Moenie die toestel gebruik as die prop of kragkabel beskadig
is, die toestel laat val is of as dit aan water of ander vloeistowwe
blootgestel is nie.
2.1.10. Voordat u aan die kragtoevoer gekoppel word, maak seker dat
die spanning en kragspesifikasies ooreenstem met dié wat op die toestel
se graderingsplaat aangedui word.
2.1.11. Gebruik ‘n geaarde kragsok wat gegradeer is om ‘n minimum
van 16 ampère te hanteer.
2.1.12. Maak seker dat die toestel se prop stewig in die sok pas. Moenie
die prop op enige manier verander nie.
2.1.13. As jy ‘n multiprop-adapter gebruik, maak seker dat die
gekombineerde stroom van alle gekoppelde toestelle nie die adapter se
gradering oorskry nie.
2.1.14. As die toestel se omhulsel beskadig is, ontkoppel dit onmiddellik

2.1.19. Maak seker dat die kragkoord nie los hang of met die toestel se
warm oppervlaktes in aanraking kom nie.
2.1.20. Inspekteer die kragkabel gereeld vir skade. As dit beskadig
is, moet dit deur die vervaardiger, ‘n diensagent of ‘n gekwalifiseerde
professionele persoon vervang word om elektriese gevare te voorkom.
2.1.21. Die toestel is slegs vir binnenshuise gebruik en moet nie buite
gebruik word nie.
2.1.22. Ondersoek die kragkabel gereeld vir skade. As dit beskadig is,
staak die gebruik van die toestel.
2.1.23. Moenie die toestelbasis in water dompel nie, aangesien kontak
met elektriese poorte wanfunksionering en elektriese skok kan veroor-
saak. Vermy die gebruik van die toestel met nat hande of voete.
2.1.24. Om oorverhitting te voorkom, moet nooit die toestel bedek terwyl
dit in werking is nie.
2.1.25. Vermy die gebruik van die toestel op dieppolige matte om
behoorlike funksionaliteit en veiligheid te verseker.

2.2. Persoonlike veiligheid:

2.2.2. Moenie aan die verhitte dele van die toestel raak nie, aangesien dit

2.2.3. Die 5 Bar Quartz Verwarmer is SLEGS bedoel vir HUISGEBRUIK
en moet nie vir kommersiële doeleindes gebruik word nie. Die 5 Bar
Quartz Verwarmer moet slegs vir sy beoogde doel gebruik word, naamlik
as ‘n ruimteverwarmer.
2.2.4. Die 5 Bar Quartz Verwarmer is nie bedoel vir gebruik deur persone
(insluitend kinders) met verminderde fisiese, sensoriese of geestelike
vermoëns, of gebrek aan ervaring en kennis nie, tensy hulle toesig of
instruksies oor die gebruik van die toestel gegee is deur ‘n persoon wat
verantwoordelik is vir hul veiligheid.
2.2.5. Hou altyd die 5 Bar Quartz Heater buite bereik van kinders. Noue
volwasse toesig is nodig wanneer die 5 Bar Quartz Heater deur of naby
kinders gebruik word.
2.3. Gebruik en sorg:
2.3.1. Rol die toestel se kragkabel volledig uit voor elke gebruik.
2.3.2. Moenie die toestel gebruik as die onderdele of bykomstighede nie
behoorlik aangebring is nie.
2.3.3. Moenie die toestel gebruik wanneer dit leeg is nie. (indien van
toepassing)
2.3.4. Moenie die 5 Bar Quartz Healer skuif of lig terwyl dit in werking is of
terwyl dit aan ‘n elektriese sok gekoppel is nie.
2.3.5. Moenie die kookoppervlak of kos met aluminiumfoelie en ander
soortgelyke materiale bedek nie. (indien van toepassing)
2.3.6. Maak seker dat die 5 Bar Quartz Verwarmer afgeskakel is en trek
die prop uit die kragtoevoer wanneer dit nie gebruik word nie, voordat dit
skoongemaak word en terwyl dit herstel word. Maak seker dat die 5 Bar
Quartz Heater koel is voordat dit skoongemaak word.
2.3.7. Hierdie toestel moet buite bereik van kinders gestoor word.
2.3.8. Moenie die toestel stoor as dit nog warm is nie.
2.3.9. Moet nooit die toestel sonder toesig laat wanneer dit gebruik word
nie en hou buite bereik van kinders.
2.3.10. Indien die toestel om een of ander rede sou aan die brand slaan,
ontkoppel die toestel van die hoofkragtoevoer en MOENIE WATER
GEBRUIK OM DIE BRAND TE BLUS NIE
2.3.11. Moenie aan warm oppervlaktes raak nie. Gebruik die handvatsel.
2.3.12. Skakel altyd die krag AF voordat jy die prop uit die muursok haal.
2.3.13. Om die 5 Bar Quartz Verwarmer uit die prop te ontkoppel, gryp die
prop stewig vas en verwyder dit van die kragtoevoer. MOENIE AAN DIE
KOORD TREK NIE.
2.3.14. WAARSKUWING: Plastieksakke kan gevaarlik wees. Om gevaar
van verstikking te vermy, hou hierdie sak weg van babas en kinders.
2.4. Diens:
2.4.1. Maak seker dat die toestel slegs deur toepaslik gekwalifiseerde
tegnikus gediens word, en dat slegs oorspronklike onderdele of bykom-
stighede gebruik word om bestaande-
onderdele/bykomstighede.
2.4.2. Indien die kragkoord beskadig is, moet die vervaardiger of sy
diensagent of ‘n soortgelyke gekwalifiseerde persoon dit vervang om ‘n
gevaar te vermy.
2.4.3. Enige misbruik of versuim om die gebruiksinstruksies te volg maak
die waarborg en die vervaardiger se aanspreeklikheid nietig.
2.1.1. Mantenga el área de trabajo limpia y bien iluminada. Las áreas

Estas instrucciones están diseñadas para garantizar un uso seguro y efi-

para evitar accidentes y mantener el rendimiento del aparato.
2.2. Seguridad personal:
2.2.1. PRECAUCIÓN: No deje el aparato desatendido durante su uso, p1-ya
que existe el riesgo de accidente.
2.2.2. No toque las partes calientes del aparato, p1-ya que puede provocar
quemaduras graves.
2.2.3. El calentador de cuarzo de 5 bares está diseñado SÓLO PARA
USO DOMÉSTICO y no debe utilizarse con fines comerciales. El
calentador de cuarzo de 5 bares solo debe utilizarse para el fin previsto,
es decir, como calentador de ambientes.
2.2.4. El calentador de cuarzo de 5 bares no está diseñado para que lo
utilicen personas (incluidos niños) con capacidades físicas, sensoriales
o mentales reducidas, o con falta de experiencia y conocimientos, a
menos que hayan recibido supervisión o instrucciones sobre el uso del
aparato por parte de una persona responsable de su seguridad.
2.2.5. Mantenga siempre el calentador de cuarzo de 5 bares fuera del
alcance de los niños. Es necesaria la supervisión de un adulto cuando el
calentador de cuarzo de 5 bares sea utilizado por niños o cerca de ellos.
2.3. Uso y cuidado:
2.3.1. Desenrolle completamente el cable de alimentación del aparato
antes de cada uso.
2.3.2. No utilice el aparato si las piezas o accesorios no están cor-
rectamente colocados.
2.3.3. No utilice el aparato cuando esté vacío. (si corresponde)
2.3.4. No mueva ni levante el 5 Bar Quartz Healer mientras esté en
funcionamiento o mientras esté conectado a una toma de corriente.
2.3.5. No cubra la superficie de cocción ni los alimentos con papel de
aluminio ni otros materiales similares. (si corresponde)
2.3.6. Asegúrese de que el 5 Bar Quartz Heater esté apagado y
desenchufe el enchufe de la red eléctrica cuando no esté en uso, antes de
limpiarlo y mientras se esté reparando. Asegúrese de que el 5 Bar Quartz
Heater esté frío antes de limpiarlo.
2.3.7. Este aparato debe almacenarse fuera del alcance de los niños.
2.3.8. No guarde el aparato si aún está caliente.
2.3.9. Nunca deje el aparato desatendido cuando esté en uso y mantén-
galo fuera del alcance de los niños.
2.3.10. Si, por alguna razón, el aparato se incendiara, desconéctelo de la
red eléctrica y NO USE AGUA PARA APAGAR EL FUEGO.
2.3.11. No toque las superficies calientes. Utilice el asa.
2.3.12. Apague siempre el aparato antes de desenchufarlo de la toma
de corriente.
2.3.13. Para desenchufar el calentador de cuarzo de 5 bares, sujete el
enchufe con firmeza y retírelo de la red eléctrica. NO TIRE DEL CABLE.
2.3.14. PRECAUCIÓN: Las bolsas de plástico pueden ser peligrosas.
Para evitar el peligro de asfixia, mantenga esta bolsa fuera del alcance
de bebés y niños.
2.4. Servicio:
2.4.1. Asegúrese de que el aparato sea reparado únicamente por técnicos
debidamente cualificados y de que se utilicen únicamente piezas de
repuesto o accesorios originales para sustituir las piezas o accesorios
existentes.
2.4.2. Si el cable de alimentación está dañado, el fabricante, su agente

3. Instrucciones de uso:
3.1. Antes de usar:
3.1.1. Retire la película protectora del aparato (si corresponde).
3.1.2. Antes de utilizar el producto por primera vez, limpie las piezas
que entrarán en contacto con los alimentos de la manera descrita en la
sección de limpieza (si corresponde).
3.2. Uso y cuidado:
3.2.1. Desenrolle completamente el cable de alimentación antes de
enchufarlo.
3.2.2. Coloque el aparato sobre una superficie plana, seca, estable y
resistente al calor.
3.3. Montaje de los ejes y las ruedas
3.3.1. Fije los ejes a la base del calentador en ambos lados. Alinee los
cuatro orificios del eje con los cuatro orificios de la base del calentador.

1. Safety advice and warnings!
Read these instructions carefully before switching on the appliance and
keep them for future reference. Failure to follow all the instructions listed
may result in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. Also keep
the guarantee;the sales receipt and,if possible,the gift box with the inner
packaging. The warnings, cautions and instructions discussed in this
instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations
that may occur while in the product it in use. It must be understood by
the operator that common sense must be adopted when operating the
appliance.
2.1. Use or working environment.
2.1.1. Keep the working area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or poorly lit
areas can lead to accidents.
2.1.2. Ensure the appliance is used in a well-ventilated space.
2.1.3. Do not place the appliance on hot surfaces, such as cooking
plates, gas burners, or ovens.
2.1.4. Keep children and bystanders at a safe distance while the appli-
ance is in use.

2.2.3. The 5 Bar Quartz Heater is intended for DOMESTIC USE ONLY and
should not be used for commercial purposes. The 5 Bar Quartz Heater
should only be used for its intended purpose namely as a space heater.
2.2.4. The 5 Bar Quartz Heater is not intended for use by persons
(including children] with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they hove been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
2.2.5. Always keep the 5 Bar Quartz Heater out of reach of children. Close
adult supervision is necessary when the 5 Bar Quartz Heater is used by
or near children.
2.3. Use and care:
2.3.1. Fully unroll the appliance’s power cable before each use.
2.3.2. Do not use the appliance if the parts or accessories are not properly
fitted.
2.3.3. Do not use the appliance when empty. (if applicable)
2.3.4. Do not move or lift the 5 Bar Quartz Healer while it is operating or
while it is connected to an electrical socket.
2.3.5. Do not cover the cooking surface or food with aluminium foil and
other similar materials. (if applicable)
2.3.6. Make sure that the 5 Bar Quartz Heater is switched off and remove
the plug from the mains electrical supply when it is not in use, before it is
cleaned and while it is being repaired. Ensure that the 5 Bar Quartz Heater
is cool before cleaning.
2.3.7. This appliance should be stored out of reach of children.
2.3.8. Do not store the appliance if it is still hot.
2.3.9. Never leave the appliance unattended when in use and keep out of
the reach of children.
2.3.10. If, for some reason, the appliance were to catch fire, disconnect
the appliance from the mains power supply and DO NOT USE WATER TO
PUT THE FIRE OUT
2.3.11. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handle.
2.3.12. Always switch the power OFF before removing the plug from the
wall socket.
2.3.13. To unplug the 5 Bar Quartz Heater, grasp the plug firmly and remove
it from mains electrical supply. DO NOT PULL ON THE CORD.
2.3.14. CAUTION: Plastic bags can be dangerous.To avoid danger of
suffocation, keep this bag away from babies and children.
2.4. Service:
2.4.1. Make sure that the appliance is serviced only by suitably qualified
technician, and that only original spare parts or accessories are used to
replace exist-
ing parts/accessories.
2.4.2. If the power cord is damaged, the manufacturer or its service agent
or a similarly qualified person must replace it in order to avoid a hazard.
2.4.3. Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use renders the
guarantee and the manufacturer’s liability null and void.
3. Instructions for use:
3.1. Before use:
3.1.1. Remove the appliance’s protective film (if applicable).
3.1.2. Before using the product for the first time, clean the parts that
will come into contact with food in the manner described in the cleaning
section (if applicable).
3.2. Use and care:
3.2.1. Unroll the power cord completely before plugging it in.
3.2.2. Place your appliance on a flat, dry, stable and heat resistant
surface.
3.3. Assembling the Axles and castors
3.3.1. Secure the axles to the base of the heater on both sides. Align the
four holes on the axle with the four holes on the heater’s base.
3.3.2. Insert the screws and tighten them securely.
3.3.3. Attach the castor wheels to the axle and fasten them securely using
the provided nuts.
NOTE: Regularly check that all nuts and screws are tightly fastened to
ensure stability and safety.
3.4. Operating your 5 Bar Quartz Heater
3.4.1. Plug the 5 Bar Quartz Heater into a suitable socket outlet.
3.4.2. Verify that the wall socket has a current-carrying capacity of at
least 16 amps.
3.4.3. The heater features three heat settings; select the desired setting
based on your needs.
3.4.4. Turn the heater ON. The heating element will begin to glow after
approximately 1–2 minutes.
3.4.5. Once finished using the heater, switch off all power settings and
unplug the appliance from the power socket.
3.4.6. Allow the heater to cool down completely before handling or
moving it.
3.4.7. Store the heater in a safe, dry place away from moisture and
heat sources.
These instructions ensure safe operation and proper storage of your
heater. Always follow them to maintain safety and extend the appliance’s
lifespan.
4. Safety devices
This 5 Bar Quartz Heater is provided with two safety devices: the first
device switches off the 5 Bar Quartz Heater when it is tilted or when it is
tipped over, by means of a switch situated in the lower part of the 5 Bar
Quartz Heater.The second safety device interrupts the power to 5 Bar
Quartz Heater in the case of overheating, by means of a thermo fuse.
5. Maintenance
5.1. The 5 Bar Quartz Heater needs external cleaning only. Wipe with a
damp cloth.
5.2. After use and before cleaning, always unplug the 5 Bar Quartz Heater
and wait until it is cool before handling it.
5.3. Keep the grille free from dust.
5.4. Do not clean the painted parts with abrasive cleaners or solvents. Use
only a damp cloth.

7. Anomalies and repair
