MANTENIMIENTO
Para reducir el riesgo de choque eléctrico e incendio por favor obedezca las siguientes instrucciones.
Limpiar el Calefactor regularmente ayudará a mantener su eficiencia.
- Siempre desconecte el cable eléctrico antes de mover, reparar o limpiar.
- NUNCA coloque el Calefactor dentro de o cerca de agua. NO SUMERJA EL CALEFACTOR EN AGUA
- Limpie el Calefactor solamente con una aspiradora equipada con un accesorio de cepillo; la aspiradora
quitará el polvo y los desperdicios del interior del Calefactor.
- Aspire las parrillas de entrada cada dos semanas; esto ayudará a mantener el rendimiento óptimo del calefactor.
- Use un cepillo de dientes u otro cepillo de cerdas suaves para aflojar suavemente cualquier polvo que
no haya sido retirado por la aspiradora
- NUNCA intente desarmar el Calefactor.
- Limpie el cuerpo del Calefactor únicamente con un trapo suave.
- NUNCA use ALCOHOL o SOLVENTES tales como gasolina, bencina, disolvente de pinturas u otros
limpiadores duros.

CONSEJOS DE SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
Si su calefactor se apaga inesperadamente o no funciona, el elemento
de seguridad arriba mencionado podría haber sido activado para
evitar el sobrecalentamiento.
1. Asegúrese que el cable eléctrico esté conectado a un
tomacorriente eléctrico en funcionamiento.
2. Verifique la posición de su Termostato. El Calefactor puede
haberse apagado por haber alcanzado la posición de
temperatura deseada.
3. Si su Calefactor opera durante varios minutos y se apaga
repetidamente, es posible que el mismo requiera limpieza. Ver
la sección de Mantenimiento abajo.

ELEMENTOS DE SEGURIDAD

Calefactor se apagará automáticamente. Sólo podrá retomar el
funcionamiento cuando el usuario reinicie la unidad.
Para Reiniciar el Calefactor:
1. Desconecte el Calefactor y espere 10 minutos hasta que la
Unidad se enfríe.
2. Después que el Calefactor se haya enfriado, conecte la unidad
a un tomacorriente eléctrico de 120V~ y siga las instrucciones
de funcionamiento descriptas en este manual.

• Extreme caution is necessary when any Heat er is used by or near chil dren or in va lids. The Heat er should not be left op er at ing un at tend ed.
Never leave children unattended when the heater is on or plugged in.
• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is in tend ed to fit in a
po lar ized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the out let, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qual i fied electrician.
Do not at tempt to defeat this safety feature.
• DO NOT use the Heater in areas where gasoline, paint, or flam ma ble liquids are used or stored. DO NOT use Heater in lo ca tions where
flammable or explosive chemicals are stored, or in wet at mo spheres.
• Do not operate any Heater with a dam aged cord or plug or after the Heater malfunctions, or has been dropped or dam aged in any man ner.
To disconnect Heater, turn the Heater OFF then remove the plug from the outlet.
• Always unplug Heater when not in use. Unplug pow er cord be fore servicing or moving the Heater.
• Do not insert or allow fingers or foreign ob jects to enter any ven ti la tion or exhaust opening as it may cause an elec tric shock, fire, or damage
the Heat er. Do not block or tamper with the Heat er in any man ner while it is in op er a tion.
• Do not block air intakes or ex haust in any manner. Do not place on soft sur fac es, like a bed, where open ings may be come blocked. Do not
depend on the on/off switch as the sole means of disconnecting power when servicing or moving the heater. Always unplug the power cord.

• Always place the Heater on a stable, flat, level sur face when op er at ing, to avoid the chance of the Heater over turn ing. Lo cate the Power Cord so the
Heater or oth er ob jects are not rest ing on it. DO NOT run Power Cord un der car pet ing. DO NOT cover Power Cord with throw rugs, run ners, or similar
coverings as this may cause cord to overheat. Ar range Power Cord away from room traf fic and where it will not be tripped over.
• This Heater is HOT when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot sur fac es. Always use han dle when moving this Heater. Keep com bus ti ble
materials, such as fur ni ture, pillows, bed ding, pa pers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the Heater and keep them at least 1
foot (0.3 m) from the sides and rear.
• DO NOT use Heater outdoors.
• This Heater is not suitable for use in agricultural facilities including areas where livestock, poultry or other animals are confined. Please refer to National
Electric Code (NEC) Article 547-7 (2008), or applicable state or local codes or standards relating to electrical requirements for Agricultural Buildings.

FUNCIONAMIENTO (Figura 1)
1. Cuidadosamente retire el Calefactor de la bolsa y de la caja.
2. Coloque el Calefactor sobre una superficie firme y plana. Los tacos
de plástico o hule, tales como las patas de esta unidad, pueden
pegarse a la superficie de los muebles y/o a los pisos de madera. La
unidad podría dejar un residuo capaz de oscurecer, manchar o dejar
marcas permanentes en el acabado de ciertas superficies de muebles,
incluyendo superficies de madera y/o pisos de madera.
3. Conecte el cable a un tomacorriente de 120 voltios.
Asegúrese que el enchufe encaje
firmemente en el tomacorriente.
Cuando los enchufes quedan flojos dentro de los
tomacorrientes, podrían deslizarse parcial o completamente
fuera del tomacorriente con el menor movimiento del cable
adosado. Los tomacorrientes en este estado podrían
sobrecalentarse y representar un peligro de incendio grave; si
queda cubierto por una cortina o tela, el peligro de incendio
es todavía mayor.
4. Cuando el Calefactor se conecte por primera vez, se oirá un “bip” y
la Luz de Encendido se encenderá indicando que hay electricidad en
la unidad. La permanecerá encendida hasta que el Luz de Encendido
Calefactor sea desconectado del tomacorriente eléctrico.
5. .ENCIENDA el Calefactor oprimiendo el Botón de Encendido
6. Cuando se enciende inicialmente, el Calentador estará en calor Alto
(1500 vatios) en el ajuste de 1 hora, indicado por la luz constante encima
de 1 hora. El ajuste del tiempo sólo funciona en calor .Alto
7. Presione el Botón de Encendido una segunda vez y el Calentador estará
en calor Alto sin ajuste del tiempo.
8. Presione el Botón de Encendido una tercera vez y el Calentador estará
en calor .Bajo
9. Presione el Botón de Encendido una cuarta vez, y el Ventilador se
ENCIENDA.
10. Presione el Botón de Encendido una quinto vez, y el Ventilador se
APAGARÁ.
11. Cuando el unidad está APAGADO, la luz roja en la parte frontal del
Calefactor permanecerá encendida hasta que el Calefactor sea
desconectado del tomacorriente eléctrico.
ENCHUFE (Figura 2)aDISPOSITIVO DESEGURIDAD ALCI
(Interruptor de corriente de pérdida para electrodomésticos):
Este dispositivo proporciona protección contra descargas
eléctricas causadas por corrientes de falla a tierra desconectando
automáticamente la alimentación. Para verificar el funcionamiento
del dispositivo ALCI de Seguridad, encienda el calefactor.
Presione el botón de TEST del dispositivo ALCI en el extremo
del cable de alimentación donde está el enchufe. El calefactor
y el ventilador deben apagarse, junto con la luz de encendido.
Presione el botón RESET del dispositivo ALCI para volvera usar
normalmente el calefactor. Este dispositivo no se debe usar como
llave de encendido.
CUIDADO: A PESAR DE QUE ESTE DISPOSITIVO ESTÁ EQUI-
PADO CON UNA PROTECCIÓN QUE REDUCE EL RIESGO DE
DESCARGASELÉCTRICAS, ESTEPRODUCTO NUNCA DEBE
USARSECERCA DEL AGUA.

INSTRUCCIONES IMPORTANTES DE SEGURIDAD
Al usar artefactos eléctricos, siempre deben tomarse precauciones básicas para reducir el riesgo de
incendio, choque eléctrico y lesiones a personas:
• SÓLO CONECTE EL CALENTADOR DIRECTAMENTE A UNA TOMA DE CORRIENTE/CONECTOR DE PARED DE 120V. NUNCA UTILICE
CON UN CABLE DE EXTENSIÓN. NO CONECTE EL CALENTADOR A CUALQUIER DISPOSITIVO CONECTADO A OTRO CABLE, TALES
COMO UNA CAJA DE ENCHUFES, PROTECTOR CONTRA SOBRETENSIONES, ADAPTADORES DE SALIDA MÚLTIPLE, CARRETE DE
CABLE, O LOS AMBIENTADORES CON SALIDA DE CORRIENTE. EL USO DE ESTOS DISPOSITIVOS PUEDE PROVOCAR UN PELIGRO DE
INCENDIO. NO ENCHUFE VARIOS DISPOSITIVOS EN LA MISMA TOMA DE CORRIENTE O EN EL MISMO CIRCUITO DEL CALENTADOR.

• Asegúrese de que la fuente de alimentación se ajuste a los requerimientos eléctricos del Calentador.
• Es necesario tener un cuidado extremo cuando se utiliza un calentador alrededor o cerca de niños o personas con discapacidad. No se debe
dejar el calentador operando sin supervisión. Nunca deje a los niños sin supervisión cuando el calentador esté encendido o conectado.
• Este artefacto tiene un enchufe polarizado (una clavija es más amplia que la otra). Para reducir el riesgo de descargas eléctricas, este
enchufe p3-ha sido diseñado para encajar en un tomacorriente polarizado de una sola manera. Si el enchufe no entra completamente en la
toma de corriente, invierta el enchufe. Si aún no encaja, póngase en contacto con un electricista calificado. No trate de modificar esta
función de seguridad.
• NO utilice el Calentador en áreas donde se use o almacene gasolina, pintura, o líquidos inflamables. NO utilice el Calentador en lugares donde
se almacenan productos químicos inflamables o explosivos, o en ambientes húmedos.
• No opere el Calentador con un cable o enchufe dañado, cuando tenga una falla o cuando se haya caído o dañado en alguna manera. Para
desconectar el Calentador, APAGUE el Calentador y luego retire el enchufe de la toma de corriente.
• Siempre desconecte el calentador cuando no esté en uso. Desconecte el cable de corriente antes de realizar el mantenimiento al Calentador
o moverlo.
• No inserte ni permita que los dedos u objetos extraños ingresen en alguna apertura de la ventilación o el extractor, pues puede causar
una descarga eléctrica o incendio, o dañar el Calentador. No bloquee ni intente forzar el Calentador en alguna manera mientras que está
en funcionamiento.
• No bloquee las entradas de aire o el extractor en alguna manera. No coloque sobre superficies blandas, como la cama, donde las aberturas
pueden bloquearse. No dependa del interruptor de encendido y apagado como el único medio de desconectar la corriente cuando mueva o
realice mantenimiento al Calentador. Siempre desconecte el cable de corriente.
• Siempre coloque el Calefactor en una firme, plana y nivelada durante la operación para evitar la posibilidad de que el calefactor se cae. Localice el
cable de manera que el Calefactor de ventilador o de otros objetos que no son los mismos. No coloque el cable de alimentación debajo de alfombras.
NO cubra el cable con tapetes, caminos estrechos o elementos de cobertura similares, p3-ya que puede causar el cable se sobrecaliente. Coloque el cable
de alimentación alejado de las personas y donde no se pueda tropezar.
• Este Calefactor está CALIENTE cuando está en funcionamiento. Para evitar quemaduras, no permita que la piel desnuda toque las superficies calientes.
Siempre use la agarradera cuando traslade este Calefactor. Mantenga los materiales combustibles, tales como muebles, almohadas, ropa de cama,
papeles, vestimenta y cortinas por lo menos a 3 pies (0.9 m) del frente del Calefactor y manténgalos por lo menos a 1 pie (0.3 m) de los costados y de
la parte trasera.
• No use Calentadores al aire libre.
• Este Calefactor no es adecuado para usar en instalaciones de agricultura incluyendo áreas donde se almacene ganado, aves de corral u otros animales.
Por favor consulte el Articulo 547-7 (2008) del Código Eléctrico Nacional (NEC), o los códigos o normas estatales o locales aplicables con relación a
los requisitos eléctricos para edificios destinados a las agricultura. ESTE CALEFACTOR NO CUMPLE CON LOS REQUISITOS DEL ARTICULO 547-7
DEL NEC (2008).
• Este Calefactor no es adecuado para usar en lugares peligrosos. Por favor consulte el Artículo 500 del Código Eléctrico Nacional (NEC), o los códigos
o normas estatales o locales aplicables con relación a los requisitos eléctricos para lugares peligrosos. ESTE CALEFACTOR NO CUMPLE CON LOS
REQUISITOS DEL ARTICULO 500 (2008).

OPERATION (Figure 1)
1. Carefully remove the Heater from the bag and the carton.
2. Place the Heater on a firm, level surface. Plastic or rubber tabs,
like the feet on this unit, may stick to furniture surfaces and/
or hardwood floors. The unit may leave a residue that could
darken, stain or leave permanent blemishes on the finish of
certain furniture surfaces, including wood surfaces, and/or
hardwood floors.
3. Plug the cord set into a 120 volt outlet.
Be sure that the plug fits tightly into outlet.
When plugs fit loosely into receptacles, they may
slip partially or completely out of the receptacle
with only the slight movement of the attached cord.
Receptacles in this condition may overheat and pose
a serious fire hazard; if covered by a curtain or drape,
the fire hazard is even greater.
4. When the Heater is initially plugged in, there will be a “beep”
and the will come on indicating that there is power Power Light
to the unit. The will remain lit until the Heater is Power Light
unplugged from the electrical outlet.
5. Turn the Heat er ON by press ing the Pow er But ton.
6. When ini tial ly turned on, the Heat er will be in heat (1500 High
Watts) on the 1 hour time setting, indicated by the steady light
above 1 hour. The time setting only works in heat.High
7. Press the Pow er But ton a second time and the Heat er will be
in Heat with no time setting. High
8. Press the Pow er But ton a third time and the Heat er will be in
Low Heat.
9. Pressing the Pow er But ton a fourth time will turn the Fan ON.
10. Pressing the Pow er But ton a Fifth time will turn the Fan OFF.
11. When the unit is turned OFF, the red light on the Heat er will
re main lit until the Heater is unplugged from the elec tri cal out let.

ALCI (Appliance Leakage Current Interrupter) SAFETY DEVICE:
This device provides protection against electric shock due to
ground fault currents by automatically shutting off the power. To
test the operation of the ALCI Safety Device, switch the heater ON.
Press the TEST button on the ALCI device attached to the plug
end of the line cord. The heater and fan should stop operating and
the Power light should be extinguished. Press the RESET button
on the ALCI device to resume normal operation of the heater. This
device should not be used on ON/OFF operation switch.
CAUTION: ALTHOUGH THIS DEVICE IS PROVIDED WITH PRO-
TECTION WHICH REDUCES THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK,
THIS PRODUCT SHOULD NEVER BE USED NEAR WATER.
