INTRODUCTION

Thank you for choosing the LANAFORM Digital Thermometer DT-100. Combining accu-

racy and ease of use, this thermometer allows your baby’s rectal, oral or under-arm

temperature to be taken. The thermometer lends itself well to measurements being

taken at home. With its ultra-exible tip, the Digital Thermometer DT-100 is comfortable

and gentle for your baby. Quick to use, it takes your temperature in just 10 seconds.

• Do not use this device in a room in which

• Do not place the thermometer in direct

sunlight, or expose it to high temperatu-

res, humidity or dirt.

• Do not immerse the device in water.

• Do not drop the device and do not use it

if it is damaged.

• This device must be used at an am-

bient temperature between 10°C/50°F

and 35°C/95°F.

• Do not expose the thermometer to ele-

ctric shocks.

• Do not expose this thermometer

to extremes of temperature above

55°C/131°F or below -25/°C/-13°F.

• Do not use the device if the relative

humidity is above 80% or below 25%.

• Do not use the device in the vicini-

ty of large electro-magnetic elds, su-

ch as those of cordless or portable te-

lephones, etc.

• Please wait at least 30 minutes after ta-

king a shower, exercising, eating or drin-

king before taking any temperature.

• It is recommended that the thermome-

ter should be kept at room temperature

for around 10 minutes before use.

• If there is a problem with your device,

please contact your reseller.

• Do not try to repair the device yourself.

• Do not take the device apart as a whole.

• This device is not intended for use by

people, including children, with limi-

ted physical, sensory or mental abili-

ties, or by people lacking experience or

knowledge, unless they are supervised

or have been instructed beforehand on

• Only use the thermometer for its in-

the morning and gradually rises throu-

ghout the day. Please therefore take yo-

ur body temperature at the same time

• The device’s performance may be adver-

sely aected if the thermometer is used

or stored outdoors.

• The thermometer should only be

used indoors.

INFORMATION ABOUT THIS THERMOMETER

The value of the temperature being measured varies depending on the location on the

body where it is taken. For people in good health, it may vary between 0.2°C and 1°C

(0.4°F and1.8°F) on various parts of the body.

LANAFORM’s advice

Never compare temperatures taken with dierent thermometers.

Tell your doctor which thermometer you have used to take your body temperature and

where on the body. Please also bear this in mind when self diagnosing.

The thermometer may overheat if it is held too long in the hand before taking your

temperature. This may skew the result of the operation.

1 Remove the battery compartment cover.

2 Insert 1 LR41 battery (supplied) into the compartment, making sure it is facing the

right way. The positive (+) and negative (-) polarity symbols are displayed inside the

compartment cover.

3 Replace the cover.

Replacing used batteries

If the low-battery symbol lights up when the thermometer is switched on, replace the

used battery with a new one.

SETTINGS

Selection of the unit

If the thermometer is switched o, switch it on by pressing it continuously for 3 seconds

to select a unit of measurement. After 3 seconds, the screen will display either °C, or °F.

Start the operation if the unit displayed on the screen does not meet your expectations.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Measurement process

Measuring body temperature

Please remove the protective lm covering the battery compartment before using your

thermometer for the rst time.

1 To start the thermometer, press the STOP/START button briey. A short audible

signal indicates that the device is switched on and all the existing icons will appear

on the screen for a second.

2 ”Lo °C (Lo °F)” and the value of the last measurement taken (memory function)

appear one after the other and briey on the screen.

3 The ”°C” (”°F”) measuring symbol then ashes and the thermometer is therefore

ready for use.

4 The ”°C” (”°F”) measuring symbol then ashes and the thermometer is therefore

ready for use. The measuring process ends when the temperature stabilises. An

audible signal (10 long beeps) is then heard, the ”°C” (”°F”) constantly ashes when

the value of the temperature taken is permanently displayed.

If the temperature taken is below 32°C (89.6 °F), the ”°C” (”°F”) unit of measurement

will ash and ”Lo °C (Lo °F)” will be displayed on the screen. If the temperature taken

is above 42.9°C (109.9°F), the ”°C” (”°F”) unit of measurement will ash and ”Hi °C (Hi

°F)” will be displayed on the screen.

STORING READINGS

Reminder of stored readings

The thermometer automatically stores the last reading and it is briey displayed on the

screen before every temperature is taken.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE

Maintenance of the thermometer

• The thermometer is waterproof and can easily cleaned and disinfected. Clean it be-

fore and after each measurement is taken with a cloth dipped in a mild, alcohol-ba-

sed solution. You can disinfect the thermometer with a suitable solution. The ther-

mometer must never be boiled

• Keep the thermometer in its case when not in use.

• Remove the batteries if the thermometer is not to be re-used for 3 months.

LANAFORM cannot be held responsible for any failure of the thermometer if the care

and maintenance instructions are not followed.

and dispose of it at a collection point so that it can be recycled.

LANAFORM guarantees this product against any material or manufacturing defect

for a period of two years from the date of purchase, except in the circumstances de-

scribed below.

The LANAFORM guarantee does not cover damage caused as a result of normal wear

to this product. In addition, the guarantee covering this LANAFORM product does not

cover damage caused by abusive or inappropriate or incorrect use, accidents, the use of

unauthorized accessories, changes made to the product or any other circumstance, of

• Consultez votre médecin si vous prenez

des traitements médicamenteux. Cela

risquerait d’augmenter votre tempéra-

ture corporelle.

• La performance de l’appareil peut être

dégradée si le thermomètre est utilisé

ou entreposé à l’extérieur.

• Le thermomètre convient pour un usage

intérieur uniquement.

Conseil LANAFORM

Ne comparez jamais des températures prises avec des thermomètres diérents.

Indiquez à votre médecin avec quel thermomètre vous avez mesuré la température cor-

porelle et à quel endroit du corps. Tenez-en également compte lors d’un autodiagnostic.

Le thermomètre peut se réchauer s’il est gardé trop longtemps en main avant la prise

de température. Cela peut fausser le résultat de l’opération.

1 Retirez le couvercle du compartiment à piles.

2 lnsérez 1 pile LR41(fournie) dans le compartiment en veillant à la placer dans le bon

sens. Les symboles de polarité positive (+) et négative (-) sont indiqués à l’intérieur

du compartiment à pile.

3 Refermez le couvercle.

Remplacement des piles usagées

Si le symbole de pile faible s’illumine dès la mise en marche du thermomètre, remplacez

la pile usagée par une pile neuve.

PARAMÉTRAGE

Sélection de l’unité

Le thermomètre est éteint, allumez-le en appuyant en continu pendant 3 secondes

pour sélectionner une unité de mesure. Au bout de ces 3 secondes, l’écran achera soit

°C, soit °F. Recommencez alors l’opération si l’unité achée à l’écran ne correspond

pas à vos attentes.

Prise de mesure

Mesure de la température corporelle

Veillez à retirer le lm protecteur situé dans le compartiment à piles avant d’utiliser

votre thermomètre pour la première fois.

1 Pour allumer le thermomètre, appuyez brièvement sur la touche MARCHE/ARRÊT.

Un bref signal sonore indique que l’appareil est allumé et l’ensemble des icônes

existantes apparaissent à l’écran pendant une seconde.

2 La mention «Lo °C (Lo °F)» ainsi que la valeur de la dernière mesure prise (fonction

mémoire) apparaissent successivement et brièvement à l’écran.

3 Le symbole de mesure «°C» («°F») clignote alors et le thermomètre est ainsi prêt

à l’emploi.

4 Pendant la prise de mesure, la température et le symbole «°C» («°F») clignotent. La

mesure est terminée lorsque la température se stabilise. Un signal sonore (10 longs

bips) se fait alors entendre, le symbole «°C» («°F» clignote toujours alors que la valeur

de la température mesurée s‘ache xement.

Si la température mesurée est inférieure à 32 °C (89,6 °F), l’unité de mesure «°C» («°F»)

clignotera et la mention «Lo °C (Lo °F)» s’achera à l’écran. Si la température mesurée

est supérieure à 42.9 °C (109.9 °F), l’unité de mesure «°C» («°F») clignotera et la mention

«Hi °C (Hi °F)»s’achera alors à l’écran.

MISE EN MÉMOIRE

Rappel des relevés mis en mémoire

Le thermomètre stocke automatiquement le dernier relevé de mesure et s’ache

brièvement à l’écran avant chaque prise de température.

ENTRETIEN ET MAINTENANCE

Entretien du thermomètre

• Le thermomètre est étanche et peut-être aisément nettoyé et désinfecté. Nettoyez-

le avant et après chaque mesure avec un chion imbibé d’une solution douce à ba-

se d’alcool. Vous pouvez désinfecter le thermomètre avec une solution adaptée. Le

thermomètre ne doit jamais être bouilli

• Conservez le thermomètre dans son étui lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé.

• Retirez les piles si le thermomètre ne doit pas être réutilisé avant 3 mois.

LANAFORM ne peut être tenu responsable d’aucune défaillance du thermomètre en

cas de non-respect des consignes d’entretien et de maintenance.

Een diagno-se stellen en een behandeling instellen zonder het advies van een arts kan een risico inhouden. • Houd de thermometer altijd uit de buurt van warmtebronnen zoals kachels, ra-diatoren, enz. • Gebruik dit apparaat niet in ruim-ten waar spuitbussen (sprays) wor-den gebruikt of waar extra zuurstof is voorzien. • Stel de thermometer niet rechtstreeks bloot aan zonnestralen, hoge tempera-turen, vochtigheid of vuil. • Dompel het apparaat niet in wa-ter onder.

Herhaal de handeling indien de eenheid op de display niet overeenkomt met uw verwachtingen. GEBRUIKSAANWIJZINGENMetingMeting van de lichaamstemperatuurVerwijder vóór het eerste gebruik van de thermometer de beschermende folie in het batterijvak. 1 Duw kort op de AAN/UIT-knop om de thermometer in te schakelen. Een korte pieptoon geeft aan dat het apparaat is ingeschakeld en alle bestaande pictogrammen verschijnen een seconde op het scherm. 2 De vermelding “Lo °C (Lo °F)” en de waarde van de laatste meting (geheugenfunc-tie) verschijnen kort achtereen op het scherm. 3 Het meetsymbool “°C” (“°F”) gaat dan knipperen en dan is de thermometer klaar voor gebruik. 4 Tijdens de meting knipperen de temperatuur en het symbool “°C” (“°F”). Als de temperatuur stabiel blijft, is de meting voltooid.

Er klinkt een geluidssignaal (10 lange pieptonen), het symbool “°C” (“°F”) knippert altijd als de waarde van de gemeten temperatuur vast wordt weergegeven. Als de gemeten temperatuur lager is dan 32 °C (89,6 °F) knippert de meeteenheid “°C” (“°F”) en verschijnt de melding e “Lo °C (Lo °F)” op het scherm. Als de gemeten temperatuur hoger is dan 42,9 °C (109,9 °F) knippert de meeteenheid “°C” (“°F”) en verschijnt de melding e “Hi °C (Hi °F)” op het scherm. Deze garantie op een product van LANAFORM dekt geen schade, veroorzaakt door een slecht of verkeerd gebruik van het toestel, een ongeluk, het bevestigen van niet-toegestane toebehoren, het aanpassen van het product of om het even welke andere omstandigheid, van welke aard ook, waar LANAFORM geen controle over heeft. LANAFORM kan niet aansprakelijk worden gesteld voor gevolgschade, nietrechtstreekse schade of specieke schade van welke aard ook.
