iQPUMP01 Interface
This Quick Start Guide is to help you quickly install your
system. Be sure to read all WARNINGS before installation
WARNING
To prevent risk of electrical shock which can result in severe injury or death, ENSURE that the
iQPUMP01 and Pump are OFF and power to the pump is disconnected before proceeding with
installation.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire or injury, service should only be attempted by a qualified pool
service professional.
This button controls the operational mode of the pump. Push
the button to toggle between Auto and Quick Clean mode. Auto
operates the pump with the settings designated by the app. Quick
Clean will override normal operation and run the pump for 30*
minutes at 3,450* RPM.
This button is used to activate or manually end a direct Wi-Fi to
Phone connection. When ON, you can connect your smart device
directly to the iQPUMP01. When OFF, the iQPUMP01 will attempt to
connect to the pool ownerâs router / internet connection.
* Factory default settings - these settings can be changed in the app.
This button controls the Service Modes for the pump. Timed Stop
will keep the pump OFF for 3* hours. Timed Run turns the pump
ON to run for 3* hours at 2,750* RPM.
Helpful Hints
Invite Codes are used to allow access for other users to control the
iQPUMP01 from their own iAquaLink app
Global Pump Settings: min & max speeds, freeze protect, and other
modes such as Quick Clean, Timed Run, and Timed Stop, are only available
when directly connected to the iQPUMP01 via a connection.Wi-Fi to Phone
Master Users are, in most cases, the pool owner. A Master User can
send invitations to other iAquaLink app users to allow them to control
the pump. To claim Master User of the pump, you must be connected to
the iQPUMP01 via a Wi-Fi to Phone connection. To create or send invite
codes, the master user and the iQPUMP01 must both be connected to the
internet. After claiming âMaster Userâ, end the âWi-Fi to Phoneâ session
by pressing the button to turn the âWi-Fi to Phoneâ LED off. Also ensure
the WEB (or WAN) LED is on before creating or sending an invite code.
Wi-Fi to Phone is technology inside the iQPUMP that transmits a wireless
signal directly to a Wi-Fi enabled device without using an internet
connection. The signal is activated when the Wi-Fi to phone button is
pushed. It will time out after 15 minutes of inactivity or it can also be
manualy deactivated by pushing the Wi-Fi to Phone button while it is on.

local requirements exist, the maintainer must be a professional with sufïŹ cient experience in pool equipment

Inviting Other Users
The iQPUMP01 allows user to be the âMaster User.â The Master User can send one
invitations to other iAquaLinkâą users, granting other iAquaLink account holders to
control your pump. In general, only the pool owner should be the Master User.
5.1 In the settings menu, the Master User (only) has the ability to âCreate Invite
Codeâ.
NOTE: If the âCreate Invite Codeâ button is not in the settings menu, then you are
not recognized as the âMaster Userâ. To become the Master User, connect
directly to the iQPUMP01, then proceed to the settings menu, click the
Claim Master User button, and follow the on-screen directions to become
the Master User.
5.2 Write down the code displayed or click on the code to copy the code to the
clipboard of your device.
5.3 Paste the invite code into an email or text message to the individuals that
you would like to have access to the pump.
5.4 In order for invitees to utilize the code, they will ïŹ rst need to download the
iAquaLink app. After logging in or creating a new account, use the invite
code to add the device by pressing the + or ( ) from the âMy Systemsâ
screen.

Before Installation
1.1 Before heading to the job site, install the latest version of the iAquaLinkâą app
from the AppleÂź App StoreÂź or from Google PlayÂź. The app is required to
install the iQPUMP01. Internet access will be needed if you want to connect
the iQPUMP01 to the internet, however it is not required to operate the pump.
1.2 Using the newest version of the iAqualink app installed on your mobile device,
log in to your account, or create a new account following the
on-screen instructions.
Wiring the iQPUMP01 Interface
Mount the iQPUMP01 Interface, using the two (2) screws provided, as high as
possible, and a minimum of 10ft. (3m) from any electric motor. Always mount the
device with the antenna on the right side, pointing up towards the sky.
2.1 Remove power from the pump by turning OFF any breaker which may supply
power to the pump.
2.2 Remove the motor drive service cover.
2.3 Feed the cable from the iQPUMP01 through the RS485 cable ïŹ tting on the
pump and connect to the red RS485 connector by attaching the wires as
follows: 1-red, 2-black, 3-yellow, and 4-green.
2.4 Tighten the RS485 Cable Fitting to secure the cable. Make sure that no other
RS485 connections exist. The iQPUMP01 must be the only connected device.
2.5 Slide DIP switches 1 and 2 UP, so they are in the ON position and slide
switches 3 and 4 DOWN, so they are in the OFF position. If you have a
5-position switch, the 5th switch should be in the ON position.
2.6
Plug the RS-485 connector into the pump and reattach the motor drive service
cover.
2.7 Restore power to the pump.
Connecting the iQPUMP01 to the Internet
Connecting the pump to the internet is highly recommended, but not required
to install the iQPUMP01, or ensure daily scheduled operation. Connecting the
iQPUMP01 to the Internet allows anytime, anywhere remote control of the pump.
4.1 If you want to be able to control the pump through the Internet,
click the âAdd to My Systemsâ button.
4.2 From the Pump Management screen, touch Settings ( for
Android users). From the settings screen select the âWi-Fi
Settingsâ button. Select the pool ownerâs Wi-Fi network and
enter the network password.
4.3 Push the âWi-Fi to Phoneâ button on the iQPUMP01. Ensure the
âWi-Fi to Phoneâ LED turns off.
4.4 After a few seconds the orange LAN LED will illuminate
indicating connection to the router. Moments later, the green
WAN (or WEB) LED light will illuminate, indicating connection
to the Internet and the iAquaLink server.
4.5 Now that the iQPUMP01 is connected to the Internet, you can
reconnect to the pump through the Web. From the menu, go
to My Devices, then select the pump named VSPUMP-_ _ _.
Rename the pump from the settings screen. This step can only
be done when connected through the Web. You are now ready
to create invites for other users to have basic acess to control
the pump.
NOTE: You can only create invites when you are the master
user. See step 3.7 and section 5 to claim master user.
iQPUMP01 Setup Using Wi-Fi to Phone
After restoring power to the pump, the Auto LED on the iQPUMP01 should turn on.
3.1 Log in to your iAqualink app on your smart device.
3.2 From the iAquaLink app menu, select âMy Systemsâ, then
âConnect Using Wi-Fi to Phoneâ.
3.3 Push the âWi-Fi to Phoneâ button on the iQPUMP01. ConïŹ rm
that the âWi-Fi to Phoneâ LED is illuminated on the iQPUMP01.
3.4 Go to Wi-Fi settings on your mobile device and select the
Wi-Fi network named âVSPump -_ _ _â. The last 3 digits of
the network name will be the same as the last 3 digits of the
iQPUMP01 device number (found on the white label on the side
of the iQPUMP01)
3.5 Return to the iAquaLink app. The app will say âSearching...â
and in a few moments will switch to the Pump Management
screen.

Installing the iQPUMP01 requires internal access to the pump drive containing high voltage wiring.
To
reduce the risk of electric shock, fire or injury,
only licensed electricians, or a qualified pool professional
should attempt this installation.

the pump must be plumbed in and bonded. All high
voltage wiring must be completed before installing the iQPUMP01.
3.6 From the Pump Management screen, you can stop the pump,
begin a custom speed cycle, or return the pump to âAutoâ
mode. If these options are not available, the iQPUMP01 may be
in a service mode. A service mode can be ended by pushing the
physical Auto / Quick Clean button on the iQPUMP01.
3.7 From the Pump Management Screen, touch âSettingsâ ( for
Android users) button to set up the time zone, edit schedules,
min & max speeds, freeze protect, and all other modes such as
Quick Clean, Timed Run, Timed Stop, etc. Push âClaim Master
Userâ to become the Master User of the pump. As the Master
User, you can create invite codes to allow others to control the
pump.

mortelles, assurez-vous que lâinterface iQPUMP01 et la pompe sont hors tension et que
lâalimentation de la pompe est dĂ©branchĂ©e avant dâeffectuer lâinstallation .
AVERTISSEMENT
Pour rĂ©duire les risques de dĂ©charge Ă©lectrique, dâincendie ou dâaccidents, lâentretien doit ĂȘtre fait
uniquement par un technicien qualifiĂ©, spĂ©cialisĂ© dans lâentretien des piscines.
Ce bouton commande le mode de fonctionnement de la pompe. Appuyer sur
le bouton pour passer du mode Auto (automatique) Ă celui de Quick Clean
(nettoyage rapide). Le mode Auto (automatique) commande le fonctionnement
de la pompe Ă lâaide des paramĂštres dĂ©signĂ©s par lâapplication. Le mode Quick
Clean (nettoyage rapide) annule le fonctionnement normal et fait fonctionner la
pompe pendant 30* minutes Ă 3 450* T/M.
Ce bouton est utilisé pour activer ou interrompre manuellement la connexion
Wi-Fi directe Ă un tĂ©lĂ©phone. Au moment de la mise sous tension, lâappareil
intelligent peut ĂȘtre connectĂ© directement Ă lâinterface iQPUMP01. Au moment
de la mise hors tension, lâinterface iQPUMP01 essaiera de se connecter au
routeur du propriétaire de la piscine/à la connexion Internet.
* Les rĂ©glages dâusine par dĂ©faut â ces paramĂštres peuvent ĂȘtre modiïŹ Ă©s depuis lâapplication.
Ce bouton commande les modes dâentretien de la pompe. La fonctionnalitĂ©
Timed Stop (temps dâarrĂȘt) maintiendra la pompe hors tension pendant
3* heures. La fonctionnalité Timed Run (temps de fonctionnement) fait
fonctionner la pompe pendant 3* heures Ă 2 750* T/M.
Conseils pratiques
Les codes dâinvitation sont utilisĂ©s pour permettre Ă dâautres utilisateurs de
commander lâinterface iQPUMP01 depuis leur propre application iAquaLink.
ParamÚtres généraux de la pompe : les modes vitesses min et max, protection
contre le gel et autres comme le nettoyage rapide, le temps de fonctionnement et le
temps dâarrĂȘt ne sont disponibles que lorsque la pompe est connectĂ©e directement
Ă lâinterface iQPUMP01 par le biais dâune connexion Wi-Fi Ă tĂ©lĂ©phone.
Les utilisateurs principaux sont, dans la plupart des cas, les propriétaires de
la piscine. Un utilisateur principal peut transmettre une invitation Ă dâautres
utilisateurs de lâapplication iAquaLink pour leur permettre de commander
la pompe. Pour rĂ©clamer les droits dâUtilisateur principal de la pompe, vous
devez ĂȘtre connectĂ© Ă lâinterface iQPUMP01 par le biais dâune connexion Wi-
Fi Ă tĂ©lĂ©phone. Pour crĂ©er ou transmettre les codes dâinvitation, lâappareil de
lâUtilisateur principal et lâinterface iQPUMP01 doivent ĂȘtre tous deux connectĂ©s Ă
lâInternet. AprĂšs la rĂ©clamation des droits dâ« Utilisateur principal », interrompre
la session de connexion « Wi-Fi to Phone » (Wi-Fi à téléphone) en appuyant
sur le bouton pour éteindre la DEL « Wi-Fi to Phone » (Wi-Fi à téléphone).
Sâassurer Ă©galement que la DEL WEB (ou WAN) est allumĂ©e avant de crĂ©er ou de
transmettre un code dâinvitation.
La fonctionnalité (Wi-Fi à téléphone) est une technologie à « Wi-Fi to Phone »
lâintĂ©rieur de lâinterface iQPUMP qui transmet un signal sans ïŹ l directement Ă
un appareil Wi-Fi compatible sans utiliser une connexion Internet. Le signal est
activé lorsque le bouton Wi-Fi to Phone (Wi-Fi à téléphone) est enfoncé. Il sera
interrompu aprĂšs 15 minutes dâinactivitĂ© ou il peut Ă©galement ĂȘtre dĂ©sactivĂ©
manuellement en appuyant sur le bouton Wi-Fi to Phone (Wi-Fi à téléphone) alors
quâil est activĂ©. AVERTISSEMENT

Invitation Ă dâautres utilisateurs
Lâinterface iQPUMP01 permet Ă utilisateur dâĂȘtre lâ« Utilisateur principal ». LâUtilisateur un
principal peut transmettre une invitation Ă dâautres utilisateurs de lâiAquaLinkâą, leur
accordant lâaccĂšs Ă lâiAquaLink pour commander la pompe. En gĂ©nĂ©ral, seul le propriĂ©taire
de la piscine doit ĂȘtre lâUtilisateur principal.
5.1 Depuis le menu Settings (paramĂštres), seul lâUtilisateur principal peut crĂ©er un
code dâinvitation.
REMARQUE : Si le bouton « Create Invite Code » (crĂ©er un code dâinvitation) nâest pas dans
le menu Settings (paramĂštres), vous nâĂȘtes pas reconnu comme un Utilisateur principal.
Pour devenir lâUtilisateur principal, connectez-vous directement Ă lâinterface iQPUMP01,
puis passez au menu des paramÚtres, cliquez sur le bouton Claim Master User (réclamer
les droits dâUtilisateur principal) et suivez les instructions depuis lâĂ©cran pour devenir
lâUtilisateur principal.
5.2 Notez le code afïŹ chĂ© ou cliquez sur le code pour copier le code dans le presse-
papiers de votre appareil.
5.3 Collez le code dâinvitation dans un courriel ou textez le message aux personnes Ă
qui vous souhaitez donner lâaccĂšs Ă la pompe.
5.4 Pour que les invitĂ©s puissent utiliser le code, ils doivent tout dâabord tĂ©lĂ©charger
lâapplication iAquaLink. AprĂšs une ouverture de session ou la crĂ©ation dâun nouveau
compte, utilisez le code dâinvitation pour ajouter lâappareil en appuyant sur les
touches + ou ( ) depuis lâĂ©cran « My Systems » (mes systĂšmes).
