Model: RC6F Air Button

for Through-Hole/Fiberglass Applications

This air button is designed to fit through a 1-5/8 inch

diameter hole in fiberglass, metal or wood materials, up to

3/4 inch thick, where the back of the mounting surface is

accessible during installation. Because of its low profile, it

is the perfect choice for both the vertical and the horizontal

mounting arrangements. It will operate any Intermatic relay

type Air Control up to 150 feet away.

1. Make sure the distance between the Air Control and

Air Button is not over 150 feet.

2. Install PVC conduit between the Air Control and Air

Button, using sweep elbows or forming large radius

curves with heat gun.

3. Drill 1-5/8 inch diameter hole through wall (deck, spa

shell, etc.) at a conveniently accessible location, above

the hightest possible waterline.

4. Insert air button into hole and secure it from the back,

with washer and nut - see illustration.

5. Pull 1/8 inch I.D. vinyl tubing between Air Control and

Air Button, allowing 6 to 10 extra inches at both ends.

Make sure the tubing is especially formulated for such

an application (we recommend using tubing supplied by

), free of kinks, splices and protected fromIntermatic

chemicals and rough edges. Do not allow water or other

contaminants to enter tubing.

6. Firmly press both ends of airhose over the

nipple of the Air Switch and Air Button.

7. Push excess tubing back into conduit. Apply

small amount of silicone sealer around the

flange of Air Button if needed.

The use of permanent glue is not recommended.
