SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Important: This appliance is not intended for use by persons including children with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the

appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

• Please read all instructions carefully before using the radiator for the rst time.

• Before using the radiator, check the voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds with the main voltage in your home.

• Do not immerse the radiator or cord in water or any other liquid. Do not use it in a bathroom, near water, or outdoors.

• When the radiator is turned on for the rst time, operate it at maximum for at least 2 hours. During this time, make sure you

are in a well ventilated area while the “new smell” is burned o. This is completely normal and not a cause for concern.

• It is normal for the radiator to make “cracking” noises when it is heating up and cooling down.

• Do not use the radiator for anything other than its intended use.

• Never leave the radiator unattended whilst in use.

• Do not pull on the cord to disconnect the plug from the wall socket.

• Do not use the radiator to dry washing.

• Do not use the radiator if the power cord or plug is damaged. Do not replace the power cord or any other parts yourself.

• Never rest the power cable on the hot ns of the radiator.

• Always ensure that the radiator is positioned at least 50cm away from furniture or other objects.

• The radiator should not be used if it has been dropped or if there are visible signs of damage.

• This radiator is for household indoor use only. Never use it outdoors.

• Never use the radiator on its side, it must always be used upright.

• Children should not be allowed to play with the radiator.

• Before moving or attempting to clean the radiator, allow it to cool down completely.

• The radiator should not be placed directly under a xed power socket.

• The radiator is lled with a precise quantity of oil and repairs requiring it to be opened must be carried out by the

manufacturer. If the radiator leaks, contact the manufacturer.

• This product contains oil and must be disposed of correctly. Do not dispose with general household waste. Take it to your

nearest waste management center for processing.

• The use of an extension lead is not recommended, as overheating of the extension lead may occur during the operation of

the radiator.

• The radiator should never be switch on through an external timer or any kind of separate remote control system.

Assembly

• The radiator will make cracking noises when it is rst turned

on and when it is turned o and cooling down.

Location of the Radiator

The radiator should be positioned where you most need the warmth. It is recommended to place the radiator underneath the

coldest window in the room as this helps to increase the convective movement of the heat. Do not locate the radiator

underneath a xed power point and always ensure that the radiator is placed at least 50cm away from furniture, curtains, walls

etc.

Thermostat

The thermostat controls the heat output according to the room temperature. This makes the heater more economical to run as it

will not produce heat when the room is too warm. To set the required temperature you require, turn the thermostat dial clockwise

until the required setting is reached. If the room needs to be heated up quickly , turn the thermostat dial up fully. When the

desired room temperature is reached, turn the thermostat dial anti-clockwise until the thermostat ‘clicks’ o. The heater will then

maintain the required room temperature and will switch on and o automatically which will be indicated by the Power Indicator

lamp turning on and o.

Note: If the heater does not come on when the thermostat is at a low setting, this may be due to the room temperature being

higher than the thermostat setting.

The Power Level dial provides a choice of heat output to suit varying conditions and for economy of operation.

Timer Instructions (IG2605 & IG2655 Only)

The timer on the radiator is a 24 hour programmable timer with 15 minute interval settings and 48 on/o cycles everyday. To set

the timer please follow the instructions below:

1. Firstly set the current time. Rotate the dial (E) in a clockwise direction until the arrow points to the right time (if it is 9:00am

at present, rotate the dial until the arrow points to 9. Fig 1

2. Push the required segments outwards. Each segment represents 15 minutes. E.g. If the heater needs to work from 10:15 to

11:00, push the 3 segments between outwards between 10:15 and 11:00. Fig 2.

Note: The programmed setting will be retained unless it is changed or the radiator is switched o. Once the radiator is switched

o, the timer will need resetting the next time it is used.

Using your Radiator for the First Time

•

When the radiator is turned on for the rst time, operate at
