Die EX-46022 ist eine seriell RS-232 PCIe Karte. Sie ist mit zwei seriellen FIFO 16C550

Anschlüsse für den Anschluss von High-Speed seriellen RS-232 Peripherie Geräten (z.B.

Modems, Plotter, Drucker, Scanner, Registrierkassen usw.) ausgestattet. Diese werden mittels

eines Octopus Kabels zur Verfügung gestellt, welches an die 44-Pin Buchse der EX-46022

angeschlossen wird. Die EX-46022 unterstützt alle PCI-Express Slots von x1 bis x16. Der serielle

PCI-Express Bus unterstützt optimal die Leistung des schnellen EXAR Chipsatz. Die Karte

gewährleistet so eine sichere Datenübertragung und exzellente Performance von bis zu

115KBaud/s für jedes angeschlossene serielle Gerät! Benutzer müssen keine Jumper manuell

setzen, um I/O-Adressen und IRQ-Speicherorte zu konfigurieren. Darüber hinaus unterstützt

diese Karte eine Stromversorgung von 5 VDC oder 12 VDC von jedem seriellen Port über einen

1/4/8/9-Pin-Ausgang. Dies ist praktisch für Benutzer, die serielle Geräte ohne zusätzliche externe

Stromversorgung anschließen möchten. Diese Karte bietet eine zuverlässige und leistungsstarke

Lösung für die serielle Multi-Port-Kommunikation.

HARDWARE INSTALLATION

Please note the following installation instructions. Since there are significant differences

between PCs, p1-we can only provide general instructions for installing the EX-46022. If you have

any questions, please refer to the operating instructions for your computer system.

1.Turn off your computer and all connected peripheral devices and unplug the power cord

from all devices.

2.Loosen the screws on the back of your computer case and carefully remove the case.

3.Now find a free PCIe slot and carefully insert the EX-46022 into the selected PCIe slot.

Make sure that the EX-46022 is inserted correctly and that there is no short circuit. Set

the jumpers according to your requirements. Caution: Before inserting this card into

your system, please carefully check the voltage jumper settings and the hardware

installation steps to avoid damage. Incorrect operation can cause damage to the

connected serial device.

4.Then attach the EX-46022 to the housing with a screw.

5.Now close the computer case again with the screws.

6.Finally, connect the octopus cable included in the scope of delivery to the 44-pin socket

of the EX-46022.

DRIVER INSTALLATION

Windows XP / 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 / Server 20xx

After completing the hardware installation, the operating system automatically recognizes the

EX-46022 and displays a new “Serial PCI port.”. First, please download the driver on the

website. www.exsys.deor www.exsys.ch. The driver is available for your product under

“Downloads”. Now open the “XR17V35x_RS-232” folder. Select the folder for your operating

system, which is located in the respective folder (see illustration). Follow the installation

instructions and complete the installation. Important! Restart your PC after installation.

Linux

After completing the hardware installation, the operating system automatically recognizes the

EX-46022 and displays a new “Serial PCI port.”. First, please download the driver on the

website. www.exsys.deor www.exsys.ch. The driver is available for your product under

“Downloads”.

Unzip the compressed driver source file into a specific directory using the following command:

# unzip xr17v25x_35x-Inx3.x.x-pak.zip7. The driver source files should now be unzipped in the

current directory..

Run the following command to compile the driver: # make8.

If the compilation was successful, the file xr17v35x.ko will be located in the current directory.

Then execute the following command to activate the module drivers: #insmod xr17v35x.ko
