HARDWARE INSTALLATION
DRIVER INSTALLATION
Because there are large differences between PCs, we can give you only a general installation
guide for the EX 12280HMS. Please refer your computer s reference manual whenever in -’
doubt.
1. - -Install the EX 12280HMS on a mounting rail by using the DIN Rail Kit or on the wall using
the Wall Mounting Brackets.
2. Connect the USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 cable with the USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 Upstream C Port at the EX- -
12280HMS.
4. -Connect a compatible plug in power supply to the DC socket on the hub or a compatible
DIN rail power supply to the terminal block. Then plug the power supply into a wall socket.
5. Now connect the other end from the USB 3.2 Gen 2 cable (C Plug) to the USB C Port at - -
your PC.
All Operating Systems
After the hardware installation the Operating System will recognize the EX 12280HMS -
automatically and install the drivers.
CHECK INSTALLED DRIVER
Open the >Device manager<. Now you should see at „USB-Controller“ the following new entry:
If you see this or a similar information the hub is installed correctly.
CONNECTORS
Der robuste, industrietaugliche EX 12280HMS ist ein USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 Metall Hub für bis zu - -
zehn Endgeräte, der an der Wand oder auf einer Hutschiene montiert werden kann. Sämtliche
Anschlüsse sind auf der Oberseite angebracht und bieten dadurch eine hohe Flexibilität z.B.
zum Einbau in ein Gehäuse oder einen Schrank. Er wird über ein USB C Kabel mit dem Host- -
PC verbunden und verfügt über vier USB C 3.2 Gen 2x1 Ports und sechs USB A 3.2 Gen 1 - -
Ports für Endgeräte. Die USB C Ports bieten eine hervorragende Performance von bis zu 10 -
Gbit/s (SuperSpeed USB 10Gbps), während die Datenübertragung an den USB A Ports bis zu -
5 Gbit/s (SuperSpeed USB 5Gbps) beträgt. Über eine externe Stromversorgung können bei
einer Maximalleistung von 64 Watt bis zu 2.4 A pro Port zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Dies
ermöglicht das problemlose Aufladen von iPhone, iPad, Smartphone und Tablet. Zur
Stromversorgung stehen eine DC Buchse (5.5 mm/2.1 mm) für ein Steckernetzteil und ein -
Terminal Block zum Anschluss eines DIN Rail Netzteils zur Verfügung.-

HARDWARE INSTALLATION
TREIBER INSTALLATION
Beachten Sie bitte die folgenden Installationshinweise. Da es große Unterschiede zwischen
PCs gibt, können wir Ihnen nur eine generelle Anleitung zum Anschluss des EX 12280HMS -
geben. Bei Unklarheiten halten Sie sich bitte an die Bedienungsanleitung Ihres
Computersystems.
1. -Installieren Sie den EX 12280HMS mit dem DIN Rail Kit auf eine Tragschiene oder mit -
den Wandmontagehalterungen an die Wand.
2. Verbinden Sie das mitgelieferte USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 Kabel mit dem USB 3.2 Gen 2x1
Upstream C Anschluss des Hubs.-
3. Schließen Sie jetzt ein kompatibles Steckernetzteil an die DC Buchse des Hubs an oder -
verbinden Sie ein kompatibles DIN Rail Netzteil mit dem Terminal Block. Stecken Sie -
anschließend den Netzstecker des Netzteils in eine Steckdose.
4. Verbinden Sie nun das andere Ende (C Anschluss) des mitgelieferten USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 -
Kabels mit der USB C-Buchse an Ihrem PC.
Alle Betriebssysteme
Nach Abschluss der Hardwareinstallation erkennt das Betriebssystem den EX 12280HMS -
automatisch und installiert diesen.
ÜBERPRÜFEN DES INSTALLIERTEN TREIBER
Öffnen Sie den . Jetzt müssten Sie unter folgende >Geräte Manager<-„ “ USB Controller-
Einträge sehen:
Ist dieser oder ein ähnlicher Eintrag vorhanden, ist der USB Hub richtig installiert.

The rugged, industrial grade EX 12280HMS is a USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 metal hub for up to ten end - -
devices that can be wall mounted or DIN rail mounted. All connections are located on the top, - -
providing flexibility for installation in a housing or cabinet. It connects to the host PC via a USB-
C cable and has four USB C 3.2 Gen 2x1 ports and six USB A 3.2 Gen 1 ports for end devices. - -
The USB C ports offer outstanding performance of up to 10Gbps (SuperSpeed USB 10Gbps), -
while the USB A ports transfer data at up to 5Gbps (SuperSpeed USB 5Gbps). Up to 2.4A per -
port can be provided with a maximum output of 64W using an external power supply. This
makes it easy to charge iPhones, iPads, smartphones and tablets. A DC jack (5.5 mm/2.1 mm) -
for a plug in power supply and a terminal block for connecting a DIN Rail power supply are - -
available for power supply.
