IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

• Switch the power supply off before commencing with the installation and ensure that the voltage

corresponds with the mains electrical supply in your home before operating.

• SHOCK HAZARD: Do not touch the electried wire netting with any metal objects or bare hands.

• Install the trap about 1.5 - 2 meters above the ground to get the best trap results.

• The insect killer should be installed out of reach from children.

• For best results, do not place the insect killer in a position where it is ooded with direct light, as

the ultraviolet light emitted is the key to attracting mosquitoes and ies. Avoid placing the insect

killer in a draught or in front of a fan, as the breeze may assist insects escape.

• NOTE: the “zapping” or “snapping” sound on an insect entering the insect killer is normal and

part of the operation. The sound indicates that an insect has come into contact with the electried

wiring.

General Information and Features:

• The insect killer works by emitting a ultraviolet light, which attracts mosquitoes, ies and any

other insects drawn to its emission, then electries them on the wire netting.

• The insect killer is clean, effective and environmentally conscious.

• The trap works without mosquito-repellent, incense or any other chemicals.

• The insect killer is smokeless and odourless.

• Simply plug in, turn on the power and the insect killer will work automatically.

• The power of the trap series is two different types which are from 2W to 40W.

• Ideal for use in the home, canteens, restaurants, hotels or hospitals.

• With international accepted technology of DC boost and imported spare parts, the insect killer

has a stable output voltage and good insulation which is safer and more durable than those with

AC winding technology.

INSTALLATION

CLEANING

• Before cleaning always ensure the power supply is turned off, and that the electried wire netting

is discharged with a plastic gripped screwdriver.

• Clean regularly.

• Always replace the starter with the same type and rating when necessary.

• Do not immerse the luminaire in water.

• No abrasive products, solvents, detergent may be used to clean this luminaire.

• Ensure that the tting does not come in contact with corrosive chemicals, etc.

H44- attachments: If the external exible cable or cord of this insect killer is damaged, it should be

exclusively replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similar qualied person in order to

avoid a hazard. To ensure that you get maximum longevity and maximum use out of your insect killer,

please observe the following safety instructions.

Electrical products can cause death, injury, or damage to property.

Installation of the insect killer must be carried out by a qualied electrician, in accordance

with SANS 10142. On completion of installation, ensure that the Certicate of Compliance is updated.

• Before connecting this insect killer, ensure that voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds with

the mains voltage in your home.

• When changing the lamp, ensure that the power is turned o.

• This insect killer is checked in full for conformity to the quality standards and safety requirements.

• The manufacturer / supplier is not responsible for any damage of properties and persons, caused by the

incorrect use or installation of the insect killer.

• Should you be unsure of how to install this insect killer correctly, please consult a professional electri-

cian or your supplier for assistance.

• Ensure all items / components, threads and screws are tightly secured.

• Tampering with this insect killer, i.e using silicon sealers or incorrect cabling, will invalidate your warranty.
