TheDP-415isa4channelportabledimmer/switchpack.Eachoutputchannelcontainsdual15AmpEdison

socketsthatallowfortwodevicestobepluggedintoasinglechannel.Eachchannelcanthenbecontrolledvia

standardDMX512signalbyadjustingarelevantchannelfaderonyourDMXconsole.Thedipswitchesontheface

oftheunitallowyoutosettheDMXpatchaddressandoperationmodeforthepack.Standardbinarycodeshould

beusedtosetyourDMXpatchaddress.DipSwitch10isthe“Mode”switch.Thesettingofthisswitchdetermines

thepacks’operationmode,eitherasaDimmerorSwitchpack.Therearealso4channeloutputLED’sthatallowyou

toviewactivechannels.WhentheunitissettoDimmode,theseLED’sdiminrealtimeastherelevantchannelis

adjusted.ADMXsignalindicatorLEDisalsoincorporatedsothatwhenDMXsignalispresent,theLEDilluminates.

Introduction:

TheDP-415wasdesignedtobemountedonanyformofpipeusinganapprovedriggingclamporontoanyflat

surfaceviahardwarethatisnotincludedwiththeproduct.

Tofastenaclamptotheunit,werecommendthatyouuseeitherofthe

twosuppliedcenterholes.Oneisonthetopsideandtheotherisontherear.Usetheonethatbettersuitesyour

rig.Anothermeansofhangingtheunit,isbyturningtherearpanelaround180º.Youwillneedaphillipshead

screwdrivertoreversethepanel.Disconnectthepowercord,removethefourphillipsheadscrewsonthe

backoftheunit,reversethepanelsotheflangedsideisfacingoutandreplacethefourphillipsheadscrews.

Thiswillallowyoutohangthepackontoany2”pipe

Thefinalmeansofmountingthisunitisontoaflatsurface

whereyoucansecureatleasttwobolts.Thismeansanexposedwoodbeam,metalbeam,wallthatyoucan

determinehasenoughsupporttoholdtheunitsweight,etc...Therearethreeholesonthebackpanelsuppliedfor

thisformofmounting.Useatleasttwoofthem,(preferably,thetwooutsideholes)withatleast2”lagbolts.

Note:thereshouldalwaysbeatleast12”of

clearancebetweenthepackandanythingsurroundingit.Itisalsorecommendedthatyouuseasafety

cablewhenevermountingoverhead.

Mounting:

TheDP-415issuppliedwitha15Amp,12gaugepowerlinecord.Plugthelinecordintoaservicecapableof

supplingupto15ampstothepack.Lamploadsshouldbepluggedintothedual15AmpEdisonsocketswhichare

fittedonthesidesofthepackandareclearlymarkedonthefrontpanel.

.Besuretonotoverloadanychannelasthismayresultinblownfusesandmalfunction.Usinga

3pinXLR,DMXcable,connectoutofyourDMXconsoleorpreviousfixtureinlineandintotheDMXINofthe

DP-415.ConnectoutoftheDP-415,DMXOUT,andintotheinputofthenextdeviceinline.SetDipSwitchesas

required(SeePage3-“SetDMXAddress”).ItisrecommendedthatthelastpackorfixtureinlineincludeaDMX

terminatorintotheOutput.Thiswillminimizedatatransmissionerrors.
