INSTRUCTIONS
Basic Use Procedure
1. Place hairsetter on a firm, flat surface. Before
plugging unit into outlet, insert rollers into the
hairsetter unit.
2. Plug into any ordinary household (120 AC)
outlet. This appliance has a polarized plug (one
blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not
attempt to defeat this safety feature.
3. With lid closed, allow rollers to heat. This will
provide the fastest, most efficient heat-up. It
takes approximately 12 minutes for the hot
sticks to fully heat up.
4. Never leave your hairsetter on and
unattended. Always unplug the hairsetter when
not in use. Allow hairsetter to cool, then store
in a safe place.
MAINTENANCE
Your hairsetter is designed for household use
and is virtually maintenance free. If cleaning
becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance
from the power source. Allow the setter to cool
and wipe unit with a damp cloth. Occasionally,
you may want to clean your rollers. Use a damp
cloth and mild detergent or soap and let dry
before putting back in the hairsetter. If any
abnormal condition occurs, unplug the
hairsetter, allow it to cool, and return it to a
Conair service center for repair.
STORAGE
Unplug hairsetter and allow it to cool. Loosely
wrap the cord around the base of unit for
storage. Place in a safe, dry location, out of the
reach of children.
STYLING TIPS
The unique roller system provided with Hot
Sticks® produces excellent curling power. You can
achieve tight curls or a head full of spiral curls on
any length hair, without leaving your home. Tight
curls and full volume are possible, even on the
straightest hair. With Hot Sticks
® rollers, your tight
or soft curls will form quickly and last longer.
Soft curls can be obtained by using a shorter
heat-up time and removing rollers soon after you
have completed your set.
The amount of hair per section will also determine
the tightness of the curl: for spiral curls, use one-
inch sections of hair; for softer waves use two-
inch sections of hair.
After using Hot Sticks
® rollers several times, you
will find the best timing and technique for the
texture of your hair and the style you desire.
HOW TO USE
1. Place hairsetter on flat surface and plug into
outlet.
2. With lid closed, allow rollers to heat. In
minutes, your rollers will be hot and you
can begin to set your hair. Ready dot will turn
white, indicating optimum heat. Allow to
heat longer for tight curls. For best use with short
hair or for loose curls, remove a roller from unit
and allow to cool for several seconds prior to use.
3. For optimal results, hair should be clean and
dry. Take one section of hair at a time, as you
would with any other roller. Comb section and
hold with hand.
4. Placing the Hot Sticks® roller at the very end of
hair section, start to roll the hair toward the scalp,
using the ribs on the roller as a guide. When
rolling, be sure to include the very ends of the hair
to ensure the most consistently formed curl. You
may want to secure the ends of the hair around
roller with fingers. Hair adheres easily to the
roller.
PLEASE NOTE: Center of rollers will be hot. To
prevent burns, be sure to hold rollers by ends
to roll hair, and avoid contact with the scalp.
5. Hot Sticks® rollers have an interlocking system
that does not require clips. Simply bend both ends
of roller together and secure by inserting one end
(without hole) into center of the hole on opposite
end of roller.
6. To create a larger diameter curl, use larger
sections of hair, then simply place two rollers
together and roll section of hair over both rollers
(use ribs on rollers as a guide). Bend ends
together and secure. For a looser curl, only roll
hair halfway up before securing.
7. Repeat all steps until all sections of hair are
set. After set is complete, unplug Hot Sticks
®
rollers. Leave Hot Sticks® rollers in hair for about
15 minutes or until they completely cool, to
achieve the tightest curl. Soft curls will form well
in only 5 minutes. The set time may vary
depending on hair type.
TO REMOVE HOT STICKS
® ROLLERS
Carefully remove rollers by sliding end of roller
from hole and gently unwinding. Once all rollers
are removed, allow hair to cool, then style as
desired, using fingers or a wide-tooth comb. We
do not recommend using a brush, as brushing
may change the look and shape of the curl and
affect the style. Put rollers back into appropriate
compartments for storage.
Hot Sticks
® rollers are washable. If desired, use a
damp cloth with mild detergent or soap and let dry
before putting back in the hairsetter unit.

Roll hair up all the way. Unroll
when cool and then separate
each curl with your fingers or

Take a large section, and roll

DE USO
Instrucciones básicas
1. Coloque el aparato sobre una superficie plana y
segura. Coloque los rulos en él antes de conectarlo a
la toma de corriente.
2. Enchufe el aparato en una toma de corriente de
120 V AC. El cable de este aparato cuenta con un
enchufe polarizado (una pata es más ancha que la
otra). Como medida de seguridad, se podrá enchufar
de una sola manera en la toma de corriente
polarizada. Si el enchufe no entra en la toma de
corriente, inviértalo. Si aun así no entra
completamente, comuníquese con un electricista. No
intente modificar esta función de seguridad.
3. Permita que los rulos se calienten con la tapa
cerrada; esto logrará un calentamiento más rápido y
efectivo. Nota: Los rulos
Hot Sticks® tardan aprox.
12 minutos en calentarse por completo.
4. Nunca descuide/deje el aparato sin vigilancia
después de encenderlo. Siempre desenchufe el
aparato después del uso. Después del uso, permita
que el aparato se enfríe y guárdelo en un lugar
seguro.
MANTENIMIENTO

de guardarlo. Enrolle el cable sin apretar alrededor
de la base. Guárdelo en un lugar seco y seguro,
fuera del alcance de los niños.
CONSEJOS DE PEINADO

Para obtener rizos suaves, use rulos menos calientes
y déjelos en el cabello durante menos tiempo
.
La textura de los rizos dependerá del tamaño de
las secciones de cabello. Para obtener rizos en
espiral, use secciones de cabello de 1 in. (2.5 cm).
Para conseguir ondas suaves, use secciones de
cabello de 2 in. (5 cm).
La experiencia le ayudará a determinar cuánto
tiempo dejar los rulos en el cabello y qué técnica
usar para conseguir los resultados deseados
dependiendo la textura de su cabello.
INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
1. Coloque el aparato en una superficie plana y
enchúfelo en una toma de corriente.
2. Permita que los rulos se calienten con la tapa

minutos. El indicador térmico se pondrá blanco
cuando los rulos estén listos.

3. Para obtener resultados óptimos, su cabello debe
estar limpio y seco. Divida el cabello en secciones
uniformes. Peine cada sección.
4. Coloque el rulo en las puntas del cabello y
enróllelo hacia la cabeza, usando las estrías en el
rulo como guía. Enrolle las puntas con cuidado
alrededor del rulo, manteniéndolas en posición con
el pulgar si es necesario. El cabello se adhiere
fácilmente al rulo.
IMPORTANTE: El centro de los rulos se pone muy
caliente; sostenga los rulos por los extremos y no
permita que hagan contacto con el cuero cabelludo.
5. Los rulos Hot Sticks
® no requieren pinzas/clips.
Simplemente doble los extremos e introduzca el
extremo recto en el anillo, en el lado opuesto del
rulo.
6. Para obtener rizos gruesos, divida el cabello en
secciones más gruesas y enrolle cada sección
alrededor de dos rulos, usando las estrías en los
rulos como guía. Doble los extremos juntos para
asegurar los rulos. Para obtener rizos más suaves,
enrolle el cabello solamente hasta la mitad, y luego
sujete el rulo.
7. Repita estos pasos con cada sección de cabello.
Después de fijar el cabello, desenchufe el aparato.
Deje los rulos Hot Sticks® en el cabello por 15
minutos o hasta que estén fríos, para conseguir
