The grill plate and teppanyaki are hand casted in aluminium. The plates
have a special layer making them suitable for induction, as well as a
non-stick coating. The hand-crafted plates are never completely smooth,
but adjust to the hob on heating.
The plates work very well on induction zones with bridge function.
The bridge function enables even heating of the entire plate. You can
also decide to use two different settings (for the front and rear zone) so
that, for example, the front of the plate can be used for searing, while
the rear is used to cook the dish.
Prior to initial use
• Prior to initial use, clean the plate with a soft sponge, hot water and
some washing up liquid and then rinse the plate well.
Tips for use
• Small residues between the plate (such as salt or peppercorns)
can move back and forth, causing scratches or worn areas both on
the bottom of the plate and on the induction hob. For this reason
you should always lift the plate when moving it. The manufacturer
accepts no liability for damage resulting from non-adherence to the
instructions for use.
• The high-quality non-stick coating makes the plate highly suitable
for healthy cooking without fat. If you wish to fry using oil, spread
a small amount of oil on the food you are cooking. Do not oil the
plate. Use hydrogenated or non-hydrogenated vegetable oil. Butter,
margarine, cold-pressed oil and salad oil are not suitable.
• Only use the plate to cook food.
• Never use sharp or metal objects. These can cause scratches.
However, scratches or other damage have no effect on the taste or
quality of the cooked food.
• Never use the plate on cooking level 12 or the boost function. Never
allow the plate to stand on an activated hob for long periods without
food. The plate could then quickly reach temperatures of 300 °C. Oil
and fat on the surface of the plate could quickly start to burn at these
high temperatures. This could damage the non-stick coating.
• An indication of the hob’s pre-heat time in setting 11 is 2-3 minutes
to reach a temperature of around 180°C.

• The integrated handles can become extremely hot. Always use
oven mitts or gloves!
• Allow the plate to cool down after use.
Cleaning and maintenance
• Dry the plate well after cleaning. This prevents oxidisation.
• Never use a metal sponge, bleach or scouring agents for cleaning.
• Allow the plate to cool prior to cleaning. This prevents cold water
from deforming the plate.
• For mild cleaning, use hot water, a small amount of washing-
up liquid and a dish cloth. It is best to clean the grooves with a
washing-up brush.
• Do not clean the plate in the dishwasher. This can cause the plate
to discolour or oxidise.
• Acids released when cooking spicy or marinated food may be
absorbed into the plate’s surface. This can result in discolouration
or staining. This will not affect the plate’s working.
Cooking table
This table serves as a guideline for cooking various dishes. The cooking
times depend on the nature, weight and quality of the dish to be
cooked. The actual cooking times can therefore vary from the times
stated in the table. Use cooking level 11 for warming up.
