HYDE

WAARSCHUWINGEN EN

VEILIGHEID!

• Om brand of elektrische schokken te voorko-

men, mag u dit apparaat niet aan regen of vocht

blootstellen.

• Voor uw veiligheid: om elektrische schokken

te voorkomen, mag de behuizing niet worden

verwijderd.

• Repareer zelf geen onderdelen in het apparaat,

maar laat alle reparaties over aan deskundig

servicepersoneel.

• Zolang het netsnoer van het apparaat op een

wandcontactdoos is aangesloten, staat het

apparaat onder spanning, zelfs als het apparaat

is uitgeschakeld.

INHOUD VAN DE DOOS

Controleer of volgende onderdelen in de doos zitten:

• Hyde unit

• RF afstandsbediening + houder

• FM antenne

• Netsnoer

• Handleiding

INSTALLATIE

Volg de stappen hieronder om tot een correcte in-

stallatie te komen.

1. Plaatsing

Het toestel is voorzien van 4 voetjes om vrij ge-

plaatst te worden. Daarnaast is er een uitsparing

waarbij de module via vijzen kan bevestigd worden.

2. Aansluiten van een externe

geluidsbron

Analoge bronnen kunnen via de 3,5mm stereo in-

gang verbonden worden. Digitale bronnen kunnen

via de SPDIF/Toslink ingang verbonden worden.

3. Aansluiten van de luidsprekers

Er kunnen 2 luidsprekers op de Hyde aangesloten

worden. Respecteer hierbij de polariteit van de luid-

spreker in overeenstemming met de aanduiding op de

schroefconnectie van de Hyde. De luidspreker mag

van het type 4 of 8 ohm zijn.

4. FM antenne

Je kan gebruik maken van de meegeleverde FM an-

tennekabel. Plug deze in in de daarvoor bestemde

connector.

AVERTISSEMENTS ET SÉCURITÉ

l’humidité.

• Pour votre sécurité : pour éviter tout risque

d’électrocution, ne retirez pas le panneau

• Ne réparez pas de composants de l’appareil,

mais conﬁez toutes les réparations à du person-

nel qualiﬁé.

• Tant que le cordon d’alimentation de l’appareil

est branché à une prise secteur, l’appareil est

sous tension, même s’il est éteint.

INSTALLATION

Procédez comme suit pour réaliser une installation

correcte.

1. Pose

L'appareil est doté de quatre pieds, pour être posé

librement. Par ailleurs, il est aussi prévu d'une ﬁxa-

tion murale à visser.

2. Connexion d’une source audio

externe

Sources analogiques peuvent être connectées à

l'entrée 3,5mm. Sources numériques peuvent être

connectées à l'entrée SPDIF/Toslink.

3. Connexion des enceintes

Le Hyde peut être raccordé à deux enceintes. Res-

pectez bien la polarité des enceintes indiquée sur le

connecteur à vis de le Hyde. Les enceintes peuvent

être de type 4 ou 8 ohms.

4. Antenne FM

Vous pouvez employer le câble pour antenne FM

fourni. Branchez-le dans le connecteur prévu à cet

effet.

INSTALLATION

To install correctly follow the steps listed below.

1. Positioning

The device has 4 feet so that it can be freely posi-

tioned. In addition it has two screw holes to attach

the module via screws.

2. Connection to an external audio

source

Analog sources can be connected to the 3,5mm

stereo input. Digital sources can be connected to

the SPDIF/Toslink input.

3. Connecting the loudspeakers

2 loudspeakers can be connected to the Hyde. Re-

member that the polarity of the loudspeaker must

correspond to what is indicated on the screw con-

nection on the Hyde. The loudspeaker should be

type 4 or 8 ohm.

4. FM aerial

You can use the FM aerial supplied. Plug this into

the connector intended.

CONFIGURATIE

Zorg er eerst voor dat beide luidsprekers zijn aangesloten, optioneel een actieve

geluidsbron op de aux-ingang (RCA of SPDIF/Toslink).

1. Instellen adres afstandsbediening

• Druk op AUX tot de RF led permanent rood oplicht.

• Vorm een 3-cijferige combinatie met de numerieke toetsen op de afstandsbe-

diening. (111 tot 666).

• Druk kort op AUX om de gevormde combinatie te bewaren.

• Herhaal eventueel bovenstaande procedure om tot 10 bedieningen met een

afwijkend adres te koppelen.

2. Koppeling van de afstandsbediening met Hyde

• Druk gedurende 5 s. op de setup-knop van de unit tot de RF led knippert.

• Druk op OFF van de afstandsbediening. De led knippert tijdens het inlezen.

r Bij gebruik van meerdere Hyde units in hetzelfde project is het vereist afwij-

kende adressen in te stellen om interferentie te vermijden.

GEBRUIK

1. Bronkeuze

Aan de hand van de toetsen FM, DAB, AUX of BT kunnen elke van deze bronnen

geselecteerd worden.

2. FM

Druk lang op << of >> om de band te scannen. Na een manuele zoekopdracht kun-

nen voorkeurzenders opgeslagen worden door gedurende 2s. op een numerieke

toets van de afstandsbediening te drukken. Druk kort op << of >> om de vorige of

volgende preset te selecteren.

3. DAB+

Druk éénmalig lang op DAB om de DAB sets vast te leggen. Een geluidssignaal

weerklinkt tijdens deze instelling. Nadien kan er net zoals bij FM gezocht worden

via << en >>.

4. Bluetooth

Koppel jouw BT apparaat (smartphone, tablet...) de eerste maal via de BT toets. Druk

deze 2s. in, een geluidssignaal is hoorbaar tijdens dit proces.

Er kunnen hierbij tot 16 toestellen gekoppeld worden. Druk kort op << of >> om de

volgende track te selecteren, druk lang op << of >> om snel achterwaarts of voor-

waarts doorheen de track te scrollen. Bij het selecteren van een andere bron tijdens

het afspelen wordt de huidige track gestopt.

5. AUX

Druk kort op de AUX toets om de analoge ingang te selecteren. Hierna weerklinkt

een geluidssignaal. Druk gedurende 2s. op de AUX toets om de digitale ingang te

selecteren. Hierna weerklinkt een dubbel geluidssignaal.

6. Instellingen

Druk >2s op de -toets om de instellingen te openen, hierna weerklinkt een ge-

luidssignaal. Bovenstaand onmiddellijk gevolgd door één van volgende toetsen:

• Bass/Mid/Treble/Flat: selecteert één van de toonregeling presets

• : een enkel geluidssignaal wijst op mono, herhaal de actie, een dubbel

signaal wijst op stereo

• BAL (>2s): balans wordt hersteld naar neutrale positie

• BAL + < of >: balans wordt ingesteld naar L of R bij druk op OK toets met

geluidssignaal bij einde bereik

• OK + instel adres afstandsbediening: het huidig volume wordt ingesteld als

maximum volume. Herhaal deze actie om dit op te heffen.

Elk menu item kan verlaten worden door de -toets in te drukken.

7. Trigger functionaliteit / Update ﬁrmware

Via de RJ45 poort kan de Hyde aangestuurd worden via externe contacten. Elk con-

tact met een spanning tussen 3V en 15V kan ingestuurd worden. De exacte pinbe-

zetting en functionaliteit is terug te vinden bij ﬁguur 4.

Eventuele updates van de ﬁrmware van de Hyde kunnen ook via deze RJ45 poort

uitgevoerd. Instructies hiertoe worden voorzien bij de nieuwe ﬁrmware release.

CONFIGURATION

Veillez d'abord à ce que les deux enceintes soient connectées ; connectez option-

nellement une source audio active à l'entrée AUX (câble RCA ou SPDIF/Toslink).

1. Réglage de l'adresse sur la télécommande

• Appuyez sur AUX jusqu'à ce que la LED de la télécommande soit constamment

allumée en rouge.

• Saisissez une combinaison de 3 chiffres à l'aide des touches numériques de la

télécommande (111 à 666).

• Appuyez brièvement sur AUX pour enregistrer cette combinaison.

• Éventuellement, répétez la procédure pour associer jusqu'à 10 commandes

avec une adresse différente.

2. Association de la télécommande au Hyde

• Appuyez pendant 5 secondes sur le bouton setup de l'unité jusqu'à ce que la

LED RF clignote.

• Appuyez sur le bouton OFF de la télécommande. La LED clignote durant la

mise en mémoire.

r Si vous utilisez plusieurs unités Hyde dans le même projet, vous devez conﬁ-

gurer des adresses différentes pour éviter les interférences.

UTILISATION

1. Choix de la source

Appuyez sur la touche FM, DAB, AUX ou BT pour choisir une de ces sources.

2. FM

Maintenez la touche << ou >> pour scanner la bande. Après une recherche ma-

nuelle, mémorisez la station en appuyant pendant 2 secondes sur une touche nu-

mérique de la télécommande. Appuyez brièvement sur << ou >> pour sélectionner

la présélection précédente/ suivante.

3. DAB+

Appuyez une fois longuement sur DAB pour déﬁnir les réglages DAB. Un signal

sonore retentit durant ce réglage. Ensuite, vous pouvez chercher avec les touches

<< et >> comme avec la FM.

4. Bluetooth

Pour la source BT, l'appareil compatible doit d'abord être associé à l'aide de la

touche BT en appuyant 2sec. Ceci est suivi par un signal sonore. Jusqu'à 16 appa-

reils peuvent être connectés. Appuyez brièvement sur << ou >> pour sélectionner

la chanson précédente/suivante ; maintenez la touche << ou >> pour reprendre ou

avancer rapidement la chanson en cours. En sélectionnant une autre source la lec-

ture en cours sera arrêtée automatiquement.

5. AUX

Appuyez brièvement sur la touche AUX pour sélectioner l'entrée analogique. Ceci

est suivi par un seul signal sonore. Appuyez pendant 2 sec. sur la touche AUX pour

sélectioner l'entrée SPDIF/Toslink. Ceci est suivi par un double signal sonore.

6. Réglages

Appuyez >2s le bouton pour entrer dans le menu "Réglages", indiqué par un

signal sonore. Ceci immédiatement suivi par le bouton:

• Bass/Mid/Treble/Flat: sélection préréglage du ton

• : un seul signal sonore indique "mono". Répétez l'action, un double signal

sonore indique stéréo.

• BAL (>2s): l'équilibre sonore est rétabli a sa position neutre

• BAL + < ou >: équilibrez le niveau des enceintes gauche ou droite pour com-

penser, appuyez sur OK pour conﬁrmer. Les extrêmes sont suivis par un signal

sonore.

• OK + adresse de conﬁguration de la télécommande: le niveau de volume actuel

est sauvegardé comme le niveau de volume maximale. Répétez ces étapes pour

annuler le niveau maximale.

Chaque niveau de menu peut être quitté en appuyant sur la touche .

7. Entrée télécommandée / Mise à jour du ﬁrmware

Par l'entrée RJ45, le Hyde peut être commandée à distance par contact 3V-15V. Le

détail sur la connectivité et la functionalité est illustré par le schéma n°4.

Des futures mises à jour de l'appareil seront aussi envoyées par l'entrée RJ45. Des

instructions seront fournies à cet effet avec la nouvelle version du ﬁrmware.

CONFIGURATION

First, make sure both speakers are connected; alternatively, connect an active audio

source to the AUX input (RCA or SPDIF/Toslink cable).

1. Programming the remote control address

• Press AUX until the RF LED lights up continuously.

• Make a 3-digit combination on the numeric keypad on the remote control. (111

to 666).

• Press brieﬂy AUX to save the combination.

• Repeat the aforementioned procedure if necessary to connect up to 10 con-

trols with different addresses.

2. Connecting the remote to the Hyde

• Press and hold the set-up button on the unit for 5 seconds until the RF LED

starts to ﬂash.

• Press OFF on the remote control. The LED will ﬂash during the scanning

process.

r When using more than one Hyde unit in the same project you must program-

me different addresses to avoid interference.

USE

1. Choice of source

Using the FM, DAB, AUX or BT keys, one of these sources can be selected.

2. FM

Press for longer (>2s) on << or >> to scan the waveband. After a manual search,

preset channels can be saved by pressing a numeric key on the remote control for 2

seconds. Press brieﬂy on << or >> to select the previous of the next preset.

3. DAB+

Press and hold down DAB once only to programme the DAB sets. You will hear an

audio signal during the programming. Afterwards you can search in the same way

as for FM via << and >>.

4. Bluetooth

Pair your BT compatible device ﬁrst via the BT button. Press it for >2s, an audio

signal will sound. Up to 16 devices can be connected. Press brieﬂy on << or >> to

select the previous or next track, press for longer on << or >> to go backward or

forward in the song. While selecting another source the current song will be stopped.

5. AUX

Press the AUX button to select the analogue audio input. A single audio signal is

played. Press the AUX button for >2s to select the SPDIF/Toslink input. A double

audio signal is played.

6. Settings

Press the -button (>2s) to enter the settings menu, indicated by a single sound

signal. This action immediately followed by pressing the below buttons:

• Bass/Mid/Treble/Flat: selects one speciﬁc tone control preset

• : a single audio signal indicates "mono" status. Repeat the action, a

double audio signal indicates "stereo" status.

• BAL (>2s): balance is reset to original position

• BAL + < of >: balance is set gradually to its L or R position, conﬁrm with the OK

button. A single audio signal indicates end positions.

• OK + programming code of the remote control: the actual volume level is set as

maximum volume level. Repeat this action to cancel.

Exit on every menu level is possible via the -button

7. Trigger input / Update ﬁrmware

The RJ45 input can be used as a remote controlled input for any external trig-

ger (3V-15V). Detailed information on connectivity and functionality can be found

through ﬁgure n°4.

Future updates for the Hyde ﬁrmware will also be transferred via the RJ45 input.

More detailed instructions are to be found with any new ﬁrmware release.
