DESCRIPTION

The Fume Extractor provides a convenient and space-saving method of removing fumes

from the work environment. Designed for use on the factory oor, in R&D departments

or by the hobbyist, this new product provides an economical and eicient method of

improving the workplace and eliminating the headaches, nausea and eye irritations that

are often associated with exposure to solder fumes.

Flux is an integral part of the soldering process used to prepare the work surface. It

consists of resin mixed with an activator (halogen organic agent). As temperatures rise

during the soldering process, noxious components such as salicylic acid and pinene are

generated.

In important concentrations, resin generates phenol (C

6

H

5

OH) while the activators may

produce hydrogen chloride (HCL) or other compounds. The US government has

introduced standards for occupational hazards related to the emission of such

compounds in the work area. When used properly, the Fume Extractor will help you

meet those standards. The Fume Extractor is equipped with a high-performance fan and

an easily replaceable activated-carbon lter, PM2.5 lter and cotton dust lter.
