1. Introduction

2. Safety Instructions

Protect this device against rain and moisture.

Unplug the supply cable before you open the housing.

• Damage caused by disregarding certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer

will not accept responsibility for the ensuing defects or problems.

• Do not switch the device on immediately if it has been exposed to changes in temperature. Protect the device

against damage by leaving it switched off until it has reached room temperature.

• Make sure that the available voltage does not exceed the voltage stated in the specifications of this manual.

• Do not crimp the power cord and protect it against damage from sharp edges. Ask an authorised dealer to replace

the cord if necessary.

• Always disconnect the device from the mains when it is not in use or when you wish to clean it. Only handle the

power cord by the plug. Never pull out the plug by tugging the power cord.

• Do not look directly into the light source as sensitive people may go into epileptic seizure if they do.

• There may be some smoke or a particular smell when the device is activated for the first time. This is normal and

the smell will gradually disappear.

• Note that damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty. Keep the device

away from children and unauthorised users.

3. General Guidelines

• Only operate this device with the supplied power adapter. Do not use the outdoors. VDL5DL2

• Do not shake the device. Avoid brute force when installing or operating the device.

• Select a location where the device will be protected against extreme heat, moisture and dust. Respect a min.

4. Installing or Replacing a Lamp

Turn the plastic ball counter clockwise gently while holding the ring between the base and the ball. Remove the old

lamp and insert a new one, screwing it clockwise to fix it. Only install the lamp when the device is unplugged from the

mains. Replace the lamp if it is damaged but take care to let the lamp cool down before you do this.

Do not install lamps with a higher wattage than that for which the device was designed. Use two 240V/15W lamps,

E14 socket.

5. Installation / Operation

CAUTION: Make sure there are no inflammables within a radius of 50cm when you are mounting the device.

Connect the device to the mains.

Put the ON/OFF button in the ON-position. The device starts rotating at a steady pace. Put the ON/OFF button in the

OFF-position to deactivate the device.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

1. All screws should be tightened and free of corrosion.

2. The housing, mounting supports and connections should not be modified or tampered with e.g. do not drill extra

holes in mounting supports, do not change the location of the connections.

3. The electric power supply cables should be undamaged. Have this device installed by a qualified technician.

4. The moving parts must show no traces of wear and tear and should be well-balanced.

5. Disconnect the device from the mains before cleaning it.

6. Wipe the device clean regularly using a moist and clean cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents on the device.

7. The user should only replace a lamp when necessary (see also ). Actual 4. Installing or Replacing the Lamp

repairs should always be handled by a qualified technician. Order any spare parts with your local dealer.

2. Veiligheidsinstructies

Uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband mee houden.

• U mag het toestel niet onmiddellijk inschakelen indien het werd blootgesteld aan temperatuurschommelingen. Om

beschadiging te vermijden, moet u wachten tot het toestel kamertemperatuur heeft bereikt.

• De beschikbare spanning mag niet hoger zijn dan de spanning die wordt vermeld in de specificaties.

• De voedingskabel mag niet worden gekrimpt of beschadigd door scherpe voorwerpen. Laat uw dealer een nieuwe

voedingskabel aanbrengen indien nodig.

• Ontkoppel het toestel voor u het reinigt en wanneer het niet in gebruik is. Raak de voedingskabel enkel aan via de plug

en trek nooit aan de voedingskabel om de plug los te koppelen.

• Kijk niet rechtstreeks in de lichtbron. De lichtbron kan bij sommige mensen leiden tot een aanval van epilepsie.

• Wanneer u het toestel voor het eerst aansluit, kan dit gepaard gaan met rookontwikkeling en een bepaalde geur.

Dit is normaal en de geur zal geleidelijk aan verdwijnen.

• Gebruik de oorspronkelijke verpakking wanneer u het toestel vervoert.

• Om veiligheidsredenen mag de gebruiker geen wijzigingen aanbrengen aan het toestel.
